A5:

The walls of this gently curving passageway are covered
in thin, fibrous tendrils that connect to a large mass of red
fungus growing in the center of this small vault. The central
mass is almost three feet high, from which several long, pale
gray stalks have extended upward to brush against the ceiling.

It takes only a glance to realize that this is a dangerous plant.

Spacing will not be as important for this fight so no map. You enter the room within 10 feet of the main mass of the fungus. You may act as you wish. Don’t forget Lore!

Aramil sets down the lantern, draws out his lute, and begins playing an inspiring melody, shouting, "We've got a fungus in here!"

This roughly carved chamber looks to have once been much larger, but now the entire southern half is choked with rubble and debris.

Well, unless Lore (Dominion of the Black) would do anything, or recall knowledge from Religion, which I doubt, I don't think I have a useful lore.

"Back away" Gaetius commands, [/b]"we don't know if that thing can reach us if we don't get too close, or move after us."[/b]

The cleric backs up to the entrance to the room, grasps his holy symbol with his free hand, and calls out to Iomedae, casting a quick spell. A small bolt of electricity arcs out from him, striking the fungus.

Action 1 to move back a bit to the chamber entrance, actions 2 & 3 to cast the cantrip.

Not sure I want to be next to that plant, but also not sure I want to burst whatever's inside, with bare hands, especially a piercing attack.

I'll wait till after Aramil and Gaetius, in case the electric arc seems highly effective.
If the plant is still twitching, I'll step to between the plant and Gaetius, take two swings with the staff.

Assuming someone responds it is a call for assistance, Ziggie will head over and inspect the finding. He has Nature and Survival both at +3, and Arcana and Lore(brewing) at +5. I presume Nature is the closest match:

Ziggie has not entered yet. and Lac has not acted yet.

Gaetius' lightning strikes the fungus and suddenly the room is filled with red spores. The plant seems to shrivel as the spores leak out of it.

Everyone needs to make a fortitude save. This is mind affecting so if you have a bonus against that apply it.

The spores being as dangerous as they are, and with Gaetius and Lac both having inhaled them, Aramil isn't sure what he can do. So, he moves out of the room and says to Ziggie, "The plant creature is dead, but they inhaled some kind of spore that has caused them to lose their minds. I don't know if it's permanent or not."

I have nothing of use in this situation.

With any clarity he may have, Gaetius tries to move out of the room with the fungus and spores until he can clear his mind fully.

Sorry guys, this week kind of got away from me.

Ziggie tries to inspect Lac and Gaetius. Lac attacks Ziggie as soon as he comes near. Gaetius ignores Ziggie and attacks himself.

The plant was a mindfog fungus but it is dead now. You do not know if a way to reverse the confusion affects, though you think they should wear off quickly.

Zach kicks the nearest centipede, and then when it shrinks back he smashed his foot down on the centipede's head, exploding it against the rocks on the ground. He capitalizes on the brief hesitation this causes in the stunned centipedes and strikes the one in front of Derkut.

GC5 takes 4 damage.

Ziggie kicks the dropped sword towards a corner (that doesn't contain either Lac or Gaetius) then dashes away from the violent monk and towards the self destructive Gaetius and, seeing how his pupils are still wildly dilating and constricting, attempts to tackle/restrain him.

Ok, so Gaetius and Llaich are back in cointrol of themselves, and are with Aramil and Ziggie at the entrance to A5. Zach and DSerkut continue to fight in A3

Zach takes out another centipede. The rest surge forward into the gap left by Derkut. Zach takes a bite.

Gaetius shakes his head to clear the remaining webs, then looks about for his sword. Upon seeing it he will walk over and pick it up, then return to the group. "That was disconcerting" he asserts, "and painful as well," he finishes as he looks over the wounds sustained.

"Does anyone know whats going on with Zac and Derkut? I've lost track of them with this mind-affecting spore cloud..."

Derkut takes a breath. "Restil, let's end this quickly, I don't have the strength for much more." Derkut slices through a centipede, cutting its head clean off.

Ziggie, Gaetius, and Aramil hurry to the room at the front where Zac and Derkut went, and then re-double there speed when they hear sounds of combat from the room. They arrive to see Zac and Derkut each cut down a centipede and then turn to the last centipede remaining upright. The centipede lashes out at Zach.

damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

I'll give you a chance to enter combat if Zach and Derkut don't kill the last centipede on their turn.

Emboldened by his last strike, Derkut swings confidently at the last centipede. The strike connects, but the centipede stays upright.
