Li Shuo lashes out at the ghoul with a snap kick the undead blocks easily. But then the monk seizes the monster's arm, using its own momentum to roll over its shoulder and land beyond it, quickly moving out of its immediate grasp.

I can't move Li on the map from my iPad. Someone please move him into the room beyond the foe with a full 40' of movement. Thanks!

Li and Frind move in with exceptional agility, avoiding the snapping jaws of the creature. Frindlikh holds his breath until he plunges his blade into the monstrous undead, then proceeds to cough and gag on the foul stench. (Frind, looked like you didn't use your best weapon/bonus, so I assumed it a mistake. If for some reason you aren't using your best kukri, the attack will have failed to hit. Marco, yes that was a mistake on my part, looked at the wrong save DC. Frind is sickened, Marco is not. A sickened character takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.)

Svetlana lands her blow this time and despite Marco's additional protections, the undead thing catches the tiefling with a vicious claw, dealing her as much damage in return. (Svetlana takes 8 damage)

That is how I interpret it as well, although I think there is some disagreement on the point among GM's.

Li's perfected shot finds it's target, but Frindlikh and Svetlana fail to land their attacks.

The creature slavers grotesquely as it snaps and slashes at Svetlana, but Marco's extra protections prove the tipping point and the tiefling is unharmed.

Svetlana and Frindlikh redouble their attacks with renewed vigor and the creature crumples beneath the assault of fist and blades. The ghast goes down, and the terrible stench dies away with it.

Combat Over!

You notice the creature wears fine quality studded leather armor and clutched a potion in it's claws and find a strange, cruel looking hooked prod hanging from the thing's belt. By the look of the men trapped in the cells, the monster had been using it to strip bits of their flesh away for consumption.

The men in the cages look to be in very poor condition. Although they yet live, they moan in unconsciousness, their flesh burning with fever to the touch. They wear the garb of The Swift Prison's Thief Takers, and are likely the party that was sent after the derro and their captive prisoners.

The ghost collapses and Frindlikh - knives in hand - stands eye to eye with the towering pit fighter. Nodding briefly, he puts away his knives after quickly clearing them.

He turns his attention to the hooked prod, and his rage boils. Anything we can do for these captives?

Jorag does indeed recognize the undead. It is a powerful ghast, a stronger and more deadly variety of ghoul. Their claws and bite can paralyze even elven kind and their bite can infect it's victims with ghoul fever, eventually turning them into ghouls themselves. He channels, bringing the men in the cages back to consciousness. It only takes him a moment to identify the ghast's bites on them and deduce that all of the thief takers suffer from ghoul fever and will change into ghouls within 48 hours if not cured.

Marco casts detect magic, which leads him to a treasure chest in one of the empty cells containing 1,800 gp worth of Cassomir trade bars. Beside the chest, leans a masterwork longbow with 20 magical(+1) arrows, and bracers of archery (lesser).

The thief takers are still somewhat sickened and confused with fever, but offer what help they can.
“The derro left through the same door you entered, but they rotated this chamber somehow and left through another tunnel. I am not exactly sure how, but I saw the derros playing with the floor tiles in the far end of the room. Please, take the bow and items if you have use for them. We will have to requisition more gear, if we survive this illness.”

Frindlikh finds the switch in a similar place as the last rotating chamber and soon the Thief Takers are on their way back to the Swift along the path you have made safe. A flip of the switch and the way forward is open again. You continue through the Ismacco tunnels for some time before you begin to notice scraps of paper discarded in key places. Discerning the trail is difficult and you spend long hours finding your way, eventually you have left the rank sewers behind and proceed further into the natural caverns deep below Cassomir.

Salt deposits line the cavern ahead and several side passages branch east and west and run rich with blue crystals before ending at cave-ins. Eight smoldering torches illuminate a small tunnel ahead—beyond all is pitch black, though the sound of running water echoes out from the darkness.

The mites are in revolt. Frindlikh remarks, but his thoughts seem elsewhere shame we lost Oti, he had a way with those creatures.


Kingmaker Combat Maps and Art

The Pathfinders proceed quietly and cautiously through the torch-lit tunnel and find a glut of people in the cavern ahead. The bustle and noise is so much that it covers your approach and you are able to observe for a few breaths before you are noticed.

A large pool fills most of this chamber, its green waters bathing the high ceilings in an eerie green light. The pool is open to the cavern on the south and east sides, but borders the cavern walls to the north and west. On the north side of the cavern, a small alcove sits above the water line, inside of which rests a small stone table. Dozens of corpses float serenely on the surface of the pool.

Hundreds of prisoners, both human and mite, fill the caverns to the west of the pool. A line of prisoners, herded by injured derros and mites, marches from the western caverns into the pool. Each time a body dips beneath the water, the stone table in the alcove north of the pool flashes in a near-blinding green brilliance, filling the entire cavern with an eerie, near daylight brightness, though it does not seem to trouble the derro or mites as true sunlight would.

Your approach is spotted by friend and foe alike and the prisoners surge against their captors so strongly that only a handful of aggressors are free to engage you as the others quell the herd.

Svetlana simply runs past the Derro before they get their wits about them, and then strikes at one.

Seeing the wisdom of Svetlana's maneuver, Li Shuo follows suit, darting to the west of the cavern and firing as he goes.

"You are of troubled mind and broken spirits," he says, not caring of the derro understand him. "You seek wisdom in madness. There is no wisdom in madness because there is no wisdom. In your madness you prevent these others from seeking their own truth."

Li's target responds by conjuring the derro's innate darkness and moving to cover his fellows. The derro nearest Svetlana draws a shortsword and steps toward the tiefling, slashing ineffectively with the weapon. Svetlana gets an AoO on Yellow

The female derro, now cloaked in dimness, casts at the Pathfinders still clustered in the narrow tunnel. A terrible cacophony of screeching sound bursts out over them, reverberating in the passage with deafening force. Frindlikh, Marco and Jorag press their hands to their ears against the painful sound. Frind, Marco and Jorag all take 6 damage and Frindlikh is stunned. A stunned creature drops everything held, can't take actions, takes a –2 penalty to AC, and loses its Dexterity bonus to AC (if any).

The female barks something in their strange language and the male derro wait under the cover of the darkness spell as the female casts at Svetlana. The tiefling's weapon droops from the ready position as the Daze spell takes effect. Then the males move into flanking positions and slash with their shortswords, however Svetlana's defenses still prove too high for the wild slashes. The female follows after to stay under cover of the spell.

Hearing the sounds of the male Derro hacking away, and the rather absent sound of Svetlana doing the same, Jorag quickly ran around the corner. Seeing his comrade somehow stricken, he continued to run, attempting to barrel into the middle Derro and send it crashing into the water.

Marco pours the oil of daylight onto his knife, and then brings his shining new torch around the corner to the edge of the derros' darkness, burning away their concealment.

The daze is a spell-like ability, which would draw an AoO, if she had cast it in Svet's threat range... but she cast first and then moved to her current position.
Daylight will cast bright light over the entire cavern, so I'm not bothering with the radius of effect. The derro's gray circle is now normal light, no longer providing concealment.

Frindlikh lands a stab on the female, despite the concealment just before Marco activates his oil of daylight. Voices all over gasp and cover their eyes as the bright light shines to every corner of the cavern. The derro's darkness spell only dims the glow slightly and the derro are clearly exposed again.

Jorag charges in, fearful of leaving Svetlana so surrounded. The derro slash at him as he comes into range, the female scoring a nasty cut, but they cannot stop the half-orc's momentum as he slams into the derro with his lowered shoulder, propelling the derro into the pool behind him. The waters close over his head and the bright green flash emanates from the table again as the derro's frantic splashing comes to an abrupt end and his body joins those floating lifeless on the surface of the waters. (Jorag takes 4 damage)

Oooh, that changes things, you channeled last round, so I assumed your last position was still near the mouth of the tunnel and you were clear to charge. Without the bonus from a charge, you wouldn't have succeeded with the bull rush. I've put the enemy back and you can forget the 4 damage. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Marco is correct, concealment is eliminated from his turn on. This means one of Li's arrows hit it's mark and the enemy's turn will depend on who he was firing at. I'd normally pick the most logical one to my mind just to save time but as it will effect who has flanking, I need Li to call the target.
