RIP

Will: 1d20 ⇒ 4

Penelopy slaps her hands over her eyes and screams. She collapses bonelessly into a snowbank

Male Half-elf Monk 1

Will save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Tristan retrieves a small pouch from a pocket. His eyes narrow as he tracks the glowing pixie and readies his throwing arm. Blinking at an opportune moment, he is completely unaffected by the blinding spray of colors. He takes a few steps towards the poorly-hidden pixie and lets loose, hoping to force it out of the tree.

Tanglefoot bag ranged touch 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Female Human (Shoanti) Paladin (Divine Hunter) 1

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Tama continues to concentrate on detecting evil.

Male Oread Arctic Druid 2

Jeydavu concentrates intently on the pebbles in his hand. They begin to vibrate and click together. He takes his sling out and looks for the pixie.

Cast magic stone on the pebbles (standard action). He can shoot next round.

Female Human (Jadwiga) Winter Witch 2

Seeing her foe downed, Ecaterina stalks forward, drawing her dagger as she does so. When she reaches the tiny creature, she stabs at the sleeping form.

Attack with Dagger (not sure if she gets a + due to the sleeping opponent?): 1d20 ⇒ 1
Confirm Critical Fumble: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

WTF??? Why do these Dice hate me? That's 2 PbP's when I've rolled like shit for 3 attacks. :/

I think this PbP is cursed. I've been rolling like s@%% for this whole game.

Or I'm some kind of luck vampire...my last ten rolls have all been 14 or higher.

Male Human (Ulfen) Urban Barbarian 2 [HP 36/36; AC 17]

Will save: 1d20 ⇒ 9

Bribes always welcome

Cat's dagger slips from her grasp, falling into a pile of snow, vanishing from sight

Your action is done for this round. Roll a perception to pick up you dagger quickly in the snowbank

The burst of light catches Gaelin, and fills his retinas with pain. The shock makes him pass out

Tanglefoot bag ranged touch d20+2

DC 15 ref: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

The bag strikes the pixie, exploding and just misses pinning it to a tree. It is hooped with the sticky mess.

Tama, Moon's Daughter wrote:

[dice="Perception]1d20 + 2

Tama continues to concentrate on detecting evil.

Tama detects three evil auras: the sprite battling the others, the unconscious one in the snowbank, and whatever unleashed the flash of blinding light. All auras seem the same in potency

Bribes always welcome

Initiatives (Winter is Coming)
Small fey: 23 color spray/hide/nap
Ecaterina: 20 botched coup de grace
Tama 18 detect evil rd 2
Penelopy: 18 unconscious
Tristan: 16 tangle bag
Gaelin 16 unconscious
Jeydavu: 16 casting

Ok next round.

The slumbered fey rockets out of the snowbank, looking for shelter

Perception To see where it heads

The Gooed-up pixie turns tail and buzzes away, jinking and dodging between tree limbs.

it's In full flight. You can attack this round, range only

Several sparkling forms dance among the tree branches where the bright color spell emerged

Your turn!!

Female Human (Shoanti) Paladin (Divine Hunter) 1

Tama lifts her head, coming out of her trance, her eyes glowing with a faint pale light.

"Three auras, all alike, fleeing."

She nocks an arrow and scans the trees, attempting to discern the flight path of the three fey.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Female Human (Jadwiga) Winter Witch 2

Cursing at her bad luck, Ecaterina bends down to pick up her dagger, when suddenly the tiny form before her sprays snow all over her as it bursts into flight.
Scowling, she continues to search for her missing weapon.

Perception to find her dagger: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Seriously... :/

[dice=Perception to find her dagger]1d20 + 1

Seriously... :/

Lol

Unfortunately Cat's dagger's icicle motif makes it hard to spot in the snow. The burst of snow from the fleeing faerie hits her square in the eyes, hampering her further.

OK, you can find your dagger, but it will take a full round to dig in the snow

[dice="Perception]1d20 + 2

Tama senses one fleeing fast through trees, another hides off to her front and left. A third is on the trees to her left, among the dancing light forms

Male Oread Arctic Druid 2

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Jeydavu loads his sling with one of the resonating stones and takes aim at the goo soaked pixie. range attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 1 = 7, damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Female Human (Shoanti) Paladin (Divine Hunter) 1

Tama closes her eyes, and points toward the locations of the three pixies.

"There. There... and there."

Bribes always welcome

Initiatives (Winter is Coming)
Small fey: 23 color Run and hide
Ecaterina: 20 digging for dagger
Tama 18 pending
Penelopy: 18 unconscious
Tristan: 16 pending
Gaelin 16 unconscious
Jeydavu: 16 attack-miss

Jeydavu's stone misses his target.

Tama you have an action, as does Tristan

Male Half-elf Monk 1

Perception to track the hiding one 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

If that succeeds and he's in range, Tristan will charge and attack, if he's close enough, otherwise he'll just try to close the distance.

Charging attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Unarmed damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Female Human (Shoanti) Paladin (Divine Hunter) 1

Tama takes aim at the pixie outlined by dancing faerie fire.

Attack (composite longbow): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 (additional +1 if within 30 feet); Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4 (additional +1 if within 30 feet)

Male Human (Ulfen) Urban Barbarian 2 [HP 36/36; AC 17]

Gaelin's unconscious bulk twitches in the snow.

Bribes always welcome

Tama's bolt takes the glowing pixie square. It plummets to the earth, skewered

Tristan sees the one fleeing, but cannot catch it through the deep drifts

The final group of glowing fey forms swoop in and out of the trees

Actions?

Male Half-elf Monk 1

With no chance of catching up with the airborne fey due to the deep snow and no further means of ranged attack, Tristan checks on Gaelin, giving him a vigorous shake in the hopes of waking him up.

Bribes always welcome

Everyone unconscious can wake up

Male Human (Ulfen) Urban Barbarian 2 [HP 36/36; AC 17]

Gaelin stirs and becomes alert. He gets to his feet and tries to find any indication of the assailants' location.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

[dice=Perception]1d20+4

Gaelin's eagle eye spots the glowing firms looping through the trees. They look..odd. They seem to be following a set pattern

RIP

Penelopy sits up and grimaces at the snow all over her clothing

"If I ever catch that little fairy I'll wring it's neck!" She swore, fishing a lump of snow from her décolletage

"Yes. Yes it would."

Tama shrugs.

"The ways of the South are still strange to me..."

Male Human (Ulfen) Urban Barbarian 2 [HP 36/36; AC 17]

"I can make them out among the branches," Gaelin says, squinting into the canopy. "They seem to be flying about as if in a pattern. I do not trust their sudden docility, but I do not see a way to shake them loose. Perhaps we should see if they follow, or if we have sufficiently scared them off."

Penelopy grins wolfishly

"Never get a southern woman's temper up. We can be as scorching as the summer Taldane sun.."

She breaks off shivering

"Although I feel no summer sun here. What is this curse?"

She shivers again, checking her gear quickly

Male Half-elf Monk 1

"I agree with Gaelin. Let's move on. Perhaps if we don't interfere with the dead birds they'll leave us alone."

Bribes always welcome

OK moving on...

The group follows the broken snow trail, trying to keep to each other footsteps. Gaelin forges ahead, breaking a trail with surety.

They come upon a small clearing. There are a lot of hoof prints in evidence. They do not look horselike, rather some sort of large deer.

as they look about the clearing a large stag emerges from the trees. It walks forward, and suddenly it speaks

"Greetings. Are you lost?"

Female Human (Shoanti) Paladin (Divine Hunter) 1

Knowledge check?

Bribes always welcome

Sure if you have something germane, roll it

Female Human (Shoanti) Paladin (Divine Hunter) 1

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Bribes always welcome

Tama, having been raised in the North, has heard many fables that talked of talking magical animals. While there are many monsters and humanoids that can speak, Tama has never actually seen a regular animal with the power

Male Oread Arctic Druid 2

Jeydavu steps forward. "Greetings in return, great stag y name is Jeydavu and I hail from Hellirinn. We are not lost, we are searching for someone who has been taken by some evil presence in the wood. You must notice the unnatural cold that has settled here. What do you make of it?"

Bribes always welcome

The stag shakes his antlers

"There are many odd creatures moving in these woods. Indeed, it is very cold. Where do you come from? Is it cold outside the wood?"

Male Oread Arctic Druid 2

Jeydavu answers, "For this expedition, we have traveled from the nearby town of Heldren. There it is quite warm. Normal for Taldor at this time of year. The cold is confined to a small area in this wood. These odd creatures you have seen, are they native to this area? Can you describe them."

knowledge(nature): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 based on the stag's description if he gives one.

Bribes always welcome

The stag answers

"I do. Not know what to call them. Small winged two legs flit around"

"Is it just you two legs? I thought maybe there was another group nearby"

Male Human (Ulfen) Urban Barbarian 2 [HP 36/36; AC 17]

"Another group?" Gaelin chimes in. "Have other people been through here?"

Bribes always welcome

"I though so. I heard some tame deer. They don't like snow. You two legs are alone then?"

Male Human (Ulfen) Urban Barbarian 2 [HP 36/36; AC 17]

"Yes, it seems we are," Gaelin says, more concerned with the urgency of the situation than the stag's curiosity. "By the sound of it, you are not native to this wood. From where do you hail? How did you come to be here?"

Bribes always welcome

The stag looks at Gaelin

"I have always lived in the wood. This wood is strange though. Not the spiky trees I am used to. There trees have odd leaves and the birds here are strange. Is there a two-leg place nearby? You seem nice but I have met some that shoot their sharp sticks at me"

Male Human (Ulfen) Urban Barbarian 2 [HP 36/36; AC 17]

"Arrows. Yes, I imagine hunters come through these woods at times, but not in their present state. Whatever unnatural winter has taken hold here would dissuade any hunters or poachers, I should think." Gaelin thinks for a moment.

"Have you seem other two-legs recently here? In the last day or two?"

Bribes always welcome

The stag shakes his antlered head

"I did not see them, but their tracks lead on to the river. I don't go that far. You should be careful "
