Things are getting really dicey now, some proper grokkin' trouble.
And sitting here won't do anyone any good, the clock is ticking!

Frustration building, The old Sergeant moves forward, spinning his chainsword as he goes, engaging the xeno with the big gun.

"Time to die a bad death, Xeno filth!"

"Throne-damned piece of metal trash." Krish drags himself back to his feet and peeks up over the balcony where the sergeant just disappeared, with a quick wave of power, Krish tries to sap the strength of the Nob the sergeant is about to fight.

Focus Power(unfettered) vs 65: 1d100 ⇒ 44, 3 DoS.
Well, I tried, but I guess the Emperor wants him to have a phenomenon...

Enfeeble:
The psyker lashes at his target with tendrils of Warp energy. The vile power quickly strips the victim of vitality, draining its spirit with every caress. The psyker nominates a single target in range and line of sight who opposes this power with a Toughness Test. If the target fails to resist the power, it is Stunned for one Round. In addition, as long as this power remains in effect, if the target rolls doubles on any Test it makes, it gains a number of levels of Fatigue equal to half the psyker’s Psy Rating rounded down. A single target can only be affected by one instance of the Enfeeble power at a time.

Psychic Phenomena:
1d100 ⇒ 49 = The Earth Protests
1d100 ⇒ 82 = Perils of the Warp
Well, s$*!. Yeah, gonna go with not-perils...

The Earth Protests: The ground suddenly shakes, and everyone including the psyker) within a 5d10 ⇒ (3, 10, 1, 10, 7) = 31m radius must make a Routine (+10) Agility Test or be knocked down.

That should even be enough range to affect those out in the hall trying to get in.
I hope...

As violet-green tendrils of power reach up from the floor at the Nob, everyone staggers as the solid, reliable surface beneath their feet bucks unexpectedly.

All within 31m must pass a +10 Agility test or be knocked prone.
Agility vs 41: 1d100 ⇒ 34.

Krish staggers, but remains on his feet. He looks about quickly to see if his near loss of control over the Warp has harmed any in the squad.

@Simmins: Thankfully you are still lying flat on the ground. You are quite certain that you would be now, but not of your own making. You sight down the barrel of your gun, awaiting the arrival of more Orks. Your field of fire is far from ideal though, with way to many intevening desk and chair legs. (I guess you cannot drop prone someone who is already prone. At the very least, I'd give a bonus to resist any bad effects (e.g. loosing the bracing) which would bring your roll to a success anyway.)
@'Poff* The Ork grenade goes off in the far right end of the second level. A billowing cloud of sickly green-yellow gas is billowing out of it, starting to flood the level!
@Thud'dr: The Ork is surprised and caught prone fiddling with his gun by your sudden arrival. The next moment, it is very dead, its head caved in with such a force that the evil red eyes did pop out of the sockets. You sword is caughing but not yet functional. Seems like its machine spirit is not satisfied with such an easy kill.
@Leni: Does make a very good floor expression. Although one that is cursing heartedly. (did you move yourself on the map yet? You still seem rather in-the-way of a Simmins cone-fire tbh)
@Cormaeg: With a display of utter disregard for his own safety, the oly Sargeant rushes right into the hailstorm of fire and towards the multi-barrel Nob, eager to slice it a new-one. The Emperor is with the brave though, and he only takes a couple of glacing hits which are absorbed by the sturdy armor. Then ...
@Krish: ... Krish manages to force the Nob to one knee and it has to stop shooting, allowing Cormaeg to close in for real! (that's the stuff of legends you two, nice work. That could have gone really bad.)
@Cormaeg: The downward stroke hits and draws blood! But damn, the hide of the Nob is tough! It feels like sawing into rockrete. Yet, the deed is done, and the ripping teeth leave a badly bleeding wound behind!
@Door NPCs: To his credit, Lucky does not hesitate and throw himself against the struggling man and both go to the ground to the left of the double-door.

To be honest, I was expecting a Nob to succeed. Had to try though. :)

yeah, he rolled horrible on the resist test.
Luck is with the foul hero ;-)

@Bizz'Ok: The Nob recovers nearly immediately from Krish's psychic onslaught, stands and pulls a Cleava from his hip, clearly answering Cormaega challenge: "Ya got sum guts, hummiez! Lemme show ya'a'propa crumpin'!"
@Briz'Zok: The other Nobs weapon spews out another lance of iridescence green energy, slamming into the door and obliterating the better part of it, as well as the area where Lucky and the miltiaman would have been standing if not for Lenis warning.
@Bigbull: "Ya zoggin' gitz! Imma crumpin' you reeeeeeal slow fer interruptin' me! Sum of da boyz still owed me lotz of teef!" With that, he lowers the cannon towards @Simmins, Cort & Blue-Overall. BOOOM!!! The gun report is brutal, actually scattering the window behind the Boss. The massive shell hits the desk and detonates like a small grenade! Shrapnel fly around but all Imperials are protected by the (now badly mauled) desk. The real danger comes from the powerful shockwave of the detonation, as heat and pressure are only partially kept in check from your cover! (take 10X, Pen:0, this is indirect blast damage, thus Flak armor gets +1ap)
@Reinforcements: High-pitched screaming can be heard from the corridor as the energy-beam cuts through the door. The screaming gets worse as the unmistakable detonation of Luckys frag grenades goes off soon after.
@Blue-Overall, Prone Militiman: Seeing what time has come, Blue-Overall gets up from cover and shouts at his squad member. "Get up, by the Emprah! Oldtimer needs us!!" Both of them are sprinting towards the stairs, clearly eager to join Cormaeg. (whoopsie, forgot those before ^^)

Overwatch: Door. Firing when a greenskin emerges. high power semi auto.

@Thud'dr: The Ork is caught off-guard by your sudden charge and the swing connects with brutal force. A blow that would have outright killed a human, forced other greenskins to their knees (at the very least) is endured by the Nob with a mere grunt.
@Cormaeg: The Ork seems still rattled from the Ogryns attack and is too slow to block your own strike. Again, you feel the teeth of your chainsword whirring into tough-as-nails Ork skin and muscle, drawing blood.
@Krish, Simmins, Cort: All three of you hurry into the billowing smoke, coughing at the stink of the burning ill-refined, Ork promethium that fills your lungs.
@Leni: Turning on your heels, you cover the entrance with your lasgun, mentally urging Lucky and the Militiamen beside him to hurry the f*** up.
@Melee NPCs: Blue-Overall swings his combat shotgun in an arc down against the right flank of the Nob, a short chain-knife attachment whirring to life! His fellow is stabbing at the Nob with a more mundane bayonet affixed to his autogun. Both actually manage to land their blows. Blue draws some blood but the bayonet of his comrade just get stuck in the tough hide of the Nob.
@Door NPCs: Both get up from the heap they landed in, looking back at the still half-molten door with big eyes. Lucky waves at Leni, then ushers the other man to follow him. The slidder under one of the desks to the left of the entrance.
@Bizz'Ok:"Oioioi, we'r all ya gitz 'r coming from? That keen fer crumpin'? Oi! Briz'Zok, the big'un 's mine, ya hear?!" With that, the Nob takes a swing against @Thud'dr. The swing is far from the uncontrolled stabbing of lesser Orks, but still more powerful. The Ogryn nearly manages to bring up the massive cleava up in time but then, ignores the option in favor to prepare the next shattering strike. Thus, the Cleava strikes home, adding another deep cut to the Ogryns hide which immediately starts bleeding. (16, Pen:2, Bleed(1))
@Briz'Zok: The other Nob roars wildly at the words of his fellow and starts fiddling (read: cursing and hitting) with his gun... a few seconds into it, and the weapon starts glowing in an angry green light and sends out a semi-stable, about one meter long lance of crackling energy. With a satisfied sound, the Ork steps towards the ever-growing brawl, casually slicing apart the intervening section of the desk with its improvised power weapon.
@Bigbull: With a quick, resounding *crra-tschink* the Ork Boss forces the handheld cannon to chamber another large round. With clear amusement on his ugly face, he trains the barrel over the sprawling melee... then lifts the gun a few more inches and BOOOM! another round flies over the combatants, coming down right in front of the desk Lucky and his brother in arms have taken cover below, catching both of them in the inevitable detonation! The desk is flipped over by its force. Neither of the two imperials is moving. Nor will they anytime soon, if ever again, judging from the pool of blood forming around them...

Despite the fury all around, and the chaos of combat, Cormaeg is calm.
He was on fight time now, where everything slows down and is almost horribly clear and easy to understand.
The one "nob" is focused on Thud, meaning the other one is likely to go after me...
If we put the first nob down we can focus on the second, and then there is just Bigbull left.
This will not be an easy fight, but it is still winnable.
I wish I knew where our sniper went off to though, her rifle could make a big difference.

The foul stench of the ork nobs breath draws Cormaeg from his deliberations, and he scowls, wishing he could weld the mouth shut.
Hang on a second, rather than focusing on what we DON'T have, maybe think about what we do have?
The heavy bolter ammo and the fuel is back at the base, the gold teeth is of no use here, nor is the skull or the helmet.
The bolt pistol would be useful, if I knew how to use it...
The melta bomb...it's magnetic isn't it?
So, if I could get close enough to bigbull...
Oh yes, I am going to give you the big boom your kind loves so much!

@Thud'dr: Your swing is fast and the power behind it terrible. Yet, unbelievably, the Nob raises his weapon in time and actually stops your weapon dead! The sound of the clashing weapons sounds horrible but is nearly immediately drowned out by the angry coughing of the Eviscerator waking! The deadlock of forces is broken and both weapons rebound from each other. Your sword now hums with terrible forces, chain teeth whirring fast and ozone building as the disruptor field is alternating on and off. (sorry, that was a nice attack, but the Nob rolled damn well for his parry)
@Cormaeg: Profiting from Thud'drs attack, your strike finds the Nob wide open and you score a terrible wound across the Orks arm. As muscle fibers are ripped and torn, the Nob lets go of his weapon, bellowing an angry shout - whether at you or his disobedient arm is anyones guess.
@Krish: Your swing is too fast and sure as for the Nob to react in time, its bulky weapon raised too late to stop the descend of your staff. It impacts hard on against its shoulder. The wound sure looks promising, but the large Ork does not pay it much attention.
@Simmins: Hurrying through the smoke you and Cort ascend to the second level only to find the billowing smoke of burning fuel to be replaced with a otherworldy stench worse than any combination of week-old socks, bad eggs and rotting meat you ever smelled. Your stomach immediately starts to turn and twist in disgust. It does not help that Cort starts vomiting audibly on your left, hands clutched to his belly and well and truley green in the face. (Toughness-10 test or loose half a round and suffer -10 on all tests until succeeding, test get a +30 bonus once outside the cloud)
@Melee-NPCs: BlueOverall and is fellow are both caught by the same stinkk cloud as Simmins and Cort. Both fall to thier knees hands clasped over mouth and nose coughting loudly. They try to get out of the stinkk cloud on all fours.
@Leni: Your attention pays off, as a lone gretchin is peeking through the hole in the door. You catch the little bugger in the chest with a lasbolt, sending it falling back. Outside the hallway, you can hear screaming and scuddling of more small Xenos, clearly panicking about the newest demise of one of their kind.
@Bizz'Ok: Spittle flies fr and wide as the wounded Ork is screaming in Cormaegs face. "Ya zoggin' crumpy'git! T'is my gud dakka arm! Imma crumpin yer head like nuffin!" He follows the word with a wild swing from its armored fists! His swing is terribly slow and easily parried by the Sergeants expert defense. (@Cormaeg: I'm gonna rule that you can roll damage upon a successful parry against an unarmed enemy - seems logical, right?)
@Briz'Zok: Attempts to bring the sputtering weapon to bear against the suddenly arrived psyker. The strike is true and @Krish hastily raised staff is only able to slightly deflect the blow to hit his mechanical leg instead of the remainder of his organic leg. The impact of both weapons has a much more crucial effect though: the flickering energy beam fades and what hits Krish is only the unpowered bulk of the weapons barrel. It still has the horrible strength of the ork behind and the impact of metal on metal is resounding. (@Krish: 14I, Pen:0)
@Bigbull: "Oi, Bizz'Ok, if ya get yerself crumped by a few hummies, imma let da Dokk have yer crumped body, ya hear?!" The ork boss yells, clearly mocking his underling. The boss-cannon is now directly trained on the swirling melee but the beast does not fire. Yet?

Is it a one time test or would Simmins need to test every round? Either way.

Simmins is a farmboy and being a soldier has only toughened his natural and nurtured fortitude. He horks up and spits a large wad of phlegm in the direction of the big boss, settling his stomach. Stop squirming and set it up here Cort. We're full on invisible here yeah?

Cort Half Action to half setup the Stubber. Simmins Half Action to finish setting it up.

Cort is only able to set up their prized possession partway so Simmins finishes it up slapping the barrel on aiming the gun so it could be shifted to fire either at the big boss or the nobs.

Is that possible? If not Simmins will aim at the boss and shoot at him otherwise he'll maintain flexibility and auto fire at the closest Nob.

@Thud: if you manage to do more than 7pt of damage after a soak of: 18T + 5AP (all but head), you can claim a kill and get gorey to your hearts content. If you take him down, remember that you get a FP for free usage or distribution.

The pattern eight was one of the most basic fighting stances taught by the drill sergeants, but it was no less effective for it's simplicity.
Having used one swing to "disarm" the ork, Cormaeg moved slightly to his left allowing the orks clumsy punch to bypass him slightly while allowing the pattern to complete once again.
He then felt the teeth of the blade dig into flesh and quickly lent forward, pressing his free hand against the guard at the spine of the blade for extra effect.

The actual action will come once we see how well Thud does.

well that reduces the required damage to 6 for a clean kill, after soak.

The nob just made a fatal error. It turned it's attention from Thud just as the Emprah blessed him with an active weapon! With his target suitably distracted, Thud brings the Wrath of the Emprah made Mechanical down upon his foe!

The hit has a definite and crushing impact, but it doesn't Bounce like a hit does even slightly. Instead you hear the engine rev up and blood starts gushing to the floor in a sickening torrent! The blade emerges just below the neck and the Nob isn't just cut apart. No, that's far to clean. He's ripped like a stale tortilla, but in reverse, starting at the neck and plunging downward. Thud emerges from behind the standing corpse covered in ork blood and ground up viscera. He doesn't seem to notice. Instead he stalks toward the Ork engaging Krish with handle held tight!

It's hard to see, but as the orc falls a tiny speck of golden light can be seen under all the blood covering the cracked rosaries on Thud's left wrist. The light fades quickly as the approval of the Emprah heals some of his wounds.

The chaos of battle, one moment it swings one way, the next it changes.
The battlefield was shrinking, and mercifully it was shrinking in the right direction now.
Cormaeg was no fool however, any moment Bigbull might get bored and start shooting into the frantic melee, or the second nob would fall and leave the battlefield fully open for a shot of that cannon.

"Olways, I want suppressive fire on priority target alpha!"
He did not doubt that Simmins would understand the order, sadly Bigbull might do it as well, but it was the best that could be done for now.

We need him to be distracted until we can reach him...it, whatever.
If Thud is still up once this nob falls he'll go straight for bigbull...
Ideally Olways will buy him time to reach.
And if Thud is in melee, I can move around and place the melta bomb...
One step at the time though, first thing first.

Having seen the effect on Krish, Cormaeg was in no hurry to let that weapon hit him as well.
While keeping his pattern flowing, he moved in and struck out.

@Simmins: As you swing the barrel of the gun around towards the boss and align the shot through the smoke, you get the feeling that the boss is directly staring at you. As you let loose, ejected stubber casings flying around and the staakkato flashes of the weapon lighting up the slowly dissipating smoke around you, the boss is not moving so much as an inch, taking three hits accross his barrel-like chest. A small trickle of blood is oozing from the point of impact of your first round.
@Thud'dr: The Nob does not go down lightly and it is clearly visible that the creature is struggling to retalliate even as he is already nearly cut in half. Only when he falls to the ground in several places at once, does the frightening red glow of its evil eyes finally dim, then go dark.
@Cormaeg: Akin to the danger the Nob represents and the plans you are forging in the heat of battle, your strike is ill-timed and misses the target.

As you let loose, ejected stubber casings flying around and the staccato flashes of the weapon lighting up the slowly dissipating smoke around you, the boss is not moving so much as an inch, taking three hits across his barrel-like chest. A small trickle of blood is oozing from the point of impact of your first round.
@Thud'dr: The Nob does not go down lightly and it is clearly visible that the creature is struggling to retaliate even as he is already nearly cut in half. Only when he falls to the ground in several places at once, does the frightening red glow of its evil eyes finally dim, then go dark.
@Cormaeg: Akin to the danger the Nob represents and the plans you are forging in the heat of battle, your strike is ill-timed and misses the target.
@Leni: You doggedly keep aim at the blasted door, trying hard to not look over your shoulder now and then to the fight behind and above you.
@Krish: The wild swing of the Nob leaves your mechanical leg dented and spark-spewing. Painful electric discharges fire in your legs nerve-connectors, painting your vision a blurry red for a moment. (you're at 1 wound unless I missed something warpy going on) Using your staff to keep to counter the moment of weakness, you swear bloody vengeance, throwing a psychically enhanced thrust with the tip of the staff a moment later. The Nob is not quite fast enough to evade the tip of the staff and you hit him. Not your best thrust by any means and it is barely scorching the Xeno meat, but all you need is the tip to connect to the hideous Xeno after all. Momentarily opening the walls holding back the warp you channel an arcing lightning down the staff towards the Nob. Halfway down the length of the staff, the lightning suddenly disappears, as if unwilling to touch the Xeno. That, or the sudden nerve-pain from your leg disrupted your concentration in just the wrong moment.
@NPCs Melee: BlueOverall and colleague have split up in their hurry to get out of the area of the stinkbomb. The militiaman is somewhere in the thick smog, BlueOverall is crawling close to the staircase leading to the next level.
@Briz'Zok: A strange look appears on the bestial features of the Nob as his kindred is slain viciously by the Ogryn. Is it surprise? Fear? Joy? Anger? "WAAAAAGH!!!!!" Bellowing the trademark warcry of the greenskins, the Nob throws himself against @Thud'dr, clearly all to eager to claim the greatest enemy for himself. While leaving himself wide open to Krish and Cormaeg, the powerful swing of the heavy weapon is brutal and crushes against the barrel-chest of the Ogryn with bone-cracking force. The follow-up crunching against the Ogryns feet is similarly brutal. (ouchie: 20, then 14, both I, Pen:0)
@Bigbull: The boss seems to have been waiting for the heavy gunner to show his new location. Even as shots zipp around him, he swings the massive gun around in the general direction of @Simmins and Cort before letting loose another ear-shattering shot. The shell hits right beside Cort, enveloping both gunner and loader in the shockwave of the explosion and ensuing maze of zipping shrapnels. The goodbads new is that the explosion burns away the foul gas of the stinkkbomb as well. Not that it is a particularly good for those caught within the fireball of course. (take 20X Pen:0 Blast and 10R, Pen:0 Shrapnel damage) Cort is thrown into the air and slams to the ground a few meter further back, not moving for the moment. He is in a bad shape for sure, but it does not look as if he is dead yet either.
@Ork Reinforcements: A gretchin comes sailing through the blasted door. Leni has a hard time hitting it, but hit it she did and the small Xeno is dead before it hits the floor. Deep gutural laughter can be heard from the corridor. A few moments later a disgustingly bloated squig is tossed into the room. The moment it lands, it explodes in a shower of meat, gore and shrapnels. Luckily, Leni is far enough away to not be in any immediate danger from that.

Ouchies… ok.
20-13=7 which takes me to 1 wound, impact, body: I get half action next round.
second hit is 14 wiich also goes to 1 wound after soak, impact, legs?: 1 level of fatigue so -2 on all rolls going forward.
Now at 2 wounds, but True Grit kicks in and reduces the critical damage I take by a Further 8 (minimum 1)

Thud takes the hits hard. Bones audibly crack in his chest and he staggers for a moment! The second hit to the legs looks nasty and he immediately starts favoring his right ever so slightly. Still, he remains!
He matches the Ork's warcry with one of his own that growls along with his Evicerator's revving engine, EMPRAH!

The strike is savage, brutal, and bloody. The Evicerator tears through the thick armor of the Ork like it's made of dreams and fantasies and then proceeds into it's flesh with gurgling abandon!

@Thud'dr: The Nob visibly staggers under the brutal attack that has carved away a sizeable portion of its belly. A confused expression enters the otherwise savage and enraged face of the beast. (Stand-up battles between Ogryns and Nobs are straight-up terrifying to watch o.O)

Recoiling slightly from the brutal sounds of breaking flesh and bones, as well as from the heat emanating from the explosion, Cormaeg curses inwardly as the pendulum of battle swings back again.

Emperor dammit all! We can't keep this up much longer, and yet there are only two more enemies from what I can see!

Not letting up either attack or defense, Cormaeg continues to press the attack, seeking to capitalize on the Nob being pounded already.
