We'd only need the drop of infernal blood if we were to construct the wand, not use it. Though shopping the bazaar for a wand of infernal healing in Taligarde may not be the bestest of ideas...

Actually, the crafting rules say that for wands you need all the components for each charge of the wand. Which is something that makes wands of Infernal Healing fairly cost prohibitive unless the GM handwaves the material portion by saying that devil blood is in a normal spell component pouch or something.

Once we get to level 3, Tatiana, Raymond or Zinbah should be able to summon a Lemure devil. Then we just need to get some of its blood before sending it home. Since Craft Wand is not available until level 5, this should alleviate this problem.

At level 3 I can definitely summon a lemure. And not only that, I can summon them easily, 10 times per day, and they have a higher Con score than normal so they can be bled more effectively.

While I understand that 2 or 3 of the group are going to be gaining negative energy affinity through some way right around level 3, I still think that the wand of CLW is the way to go for right now. And it's not like it will instantly stop working on those of us who don't go for negative affinity when the people who are going that route get it.

For now CLW is probably the best option. When we get some more money, then get Infernal Healing. Both have their place and that way we will have everyone covered as they move toward the dark side.

Right. So fifty drops of blood if we were to craft a wand with 50 charges. After the wands created, however, you no longer need the blood (or unholy water, if you go that route). Devil blood doesn't have a listed price, so generally in Pathfinder Society it's handwaved as being part of the spell component pouch, yes. Though I can definitely see an argument for it having the same cost as a vial of unholy water, since that is also listed as a material component.

At 5th level (I believe), I'll be able to summon a devil as a permanent companion as my fiendish boon, though I won't be able to grab up a devil until 9th level or so, and I doubt they'd be willing to give up fifty drops of blood, hehe.

A cure light wounds wand is probably the best option right now, yeah, and benefits everyone. As I said, it'd be a tad difficult to buy one, and we won't be able to craft one until 5th level, while a cure light can be bought presently. Plus, the longer casting time for the wand of infernal healing and the slow regen makes it nigh unusable in combat, while the CLW wand is usable both in and out of combat, giving it a lot more versatility.


I believe it's only considered valueless due to not making you track individual drops, but for this, I would definitely requite a vial of Unholy Water to be used in the wand's creation. Fortunately, it won't be too hard given the Curse Water spell, so there's no worries about seeming suspicious.

Biggest difference is that the Infernal Healing is always 10 hp, 1hp/round for 10 rounds. CLW is 1d8+1 for an average of 5.5. Thus, the Infernal Healing is much better out of combat.

My vote is get both if we can somehow procure the infernal healing wand.

That and infernal healing, wand or not, takes a full round to cast, like the Summon spells, while cure/cause spells are only an action to cast. So it's not even an instant HP if you need to stabilize someone. You have to wait until the next round for the spell to finally go off, while the cure light wounds gives you instant gratification.

Ok, for clarification.

I buy a Wand of Mage Armor.

The group purchases a Wand of CLW - 125 gold each.

Please let me know if this is ok Spooky. Everyone else, please confirm you have deducted the gold for this. I think that it would probably be best for Tatiana to carry the Wand of CLW. Several others can use it if necessary, but she is the least martial of the healers - with the others being Lisabeth and Amanda who seem pretty front line in their makeup.

Just noticed I've fallen behind on keeping track of Raymond's gear. I need to get that updated, but I won't have a chance to until probably Tuesday morning. All my combat stuff is fine, save for the alchemist's fire and tanglefoot bags being missing.

Indeed Lisbeth does do more damage in combat than Amanda. Not that I am a slouch with 16 dexterity and strength but I built my character to be a Wildcard to fill the role as a Skulldugger as we don't have a rogue. Not to say that later I won't be able to do some damage. Once my character starts getting more powerful Judgements as well as the Bane ability she'll be able to dish out some serious damage in ranged and melee attacks. If she gets the 1/2 fiend template she'll also get a substantial stat boost as well.

Then again with a +11 bluff at level 2 she's very good at being a face for the party. Gotta love using wisdom and then adding wisdom for Bluff checks.

Yeh, I should be able to fill a lot of the skill roles as well. Will be a decent face later on, although with Amanda and Raymond, this is less important. Morossa is going to be an almost unbeatable sneak once she gets all the vampire feats and starts taking Shadow Dancer levels.

Also, my perception and sense motive will be out the roof, which is important considering that I will undoubtedly be hunted by every good person in the land.

Not to be a bother, but could we get something that indicates when a round ends and the new round begins? It looks like we're on round 2, but I can't really tell for sure.

I have a feeling that this fight is going to be a tough one. Was there something we missed that could help us deal with these things?

I went back, and aside from being warned about them I can't really think of anything that would work towards helping kill them.

Also, just an FYI that I will be out of town and unable to post over this coming weekend. I'm heading to my dad's house for father's day and he lives way out in the sticks with no net access at all. Please bot me if need be. Sammy and the eagle will continue to fight, Raymond will continue to try and avoid direct combat. The eagle's stats are linked in my profile under Raymond's Creatures in the Special Abilities field.

Uh, my life's in a pretty bad place right now, and for the forseeable future I'm riding my best friend's couch. The game is still on (although I had to cancel me three non-adventure path games), but my posting rate is, as you may have already been able to tell, going to be a little shakier. One a day is still very much doable, but lurking around all day and reliably making multiple posts where possible isn't really in the cards anymore.

Things just went from bad to worse, and while I'll spare you all the long, unneeded details, I'm afraid I won't be able to continue my games anymore. Sorry everyone; you've been great, but as it stands DMing isn't really feasible for the forseeable while, and I have to worry about other things.

PS: You can also mark your campaign as inactive if you click on the Campaign tab. That is a good way to hide it from the rest of us and should you decide to resume it, you can deselect it to let us know if it is active again. Just a suggestion.
