Hey, I had the same questions up until about three months ago. It's fine.
Look under "How to format your text" to find out about dice rolls. When you make a profile for your character, in the space where you put what class you are, put in spoiler tags and copy down your information (in an abbreviated manner of course), using shift+backslash ( the | symbol) to separate statistics.

Hey I can send you the already formatted text from my character, all you would have to do is fill in the blanks?

TY. And also, sorry for the noob questions, but

As Gadget said, you use the 'Class' field in your character's profile, whatever's in there shows up under your name.
Although in my case I just put my character's race, class choices and then a brief physical description because if people want to know your stats, why don't they just open your character sheet in another tab?

@Szeshkya: Well it's not like the whole game will be run on the forums right? That's why they're online campaigns, you organise to play once a week online instead of in person...right?
...
I hope not all Paizo online campaigns are play-by-post... I just can't spend every hour of the day with an auto-page reload extension waiting for replies in the early afternoon until 6am the next day just to participate in a session that's only twenty-five posts long...
And yes, I have done just that for the past two days, I'm new to this official Pathfinder roleplaying groups thing, I honestly didn't know what to expect.
Then suddenly, Critzable!

No. :) Play by Post means exactly that. It can be slow and frustrating, but if you can stand the pace, or luck out and find a rapid post game it can be reqarding. For some people it is their only means of RPGing... It works for me due to my hectic schedule - much as I'd love to, I can't really commit to a chunk of time RP'ing on Roll20/virtual tabletops/Skype...
I suggest you check out some other games and get a feel for the relative strngths snd weaknesses of the format. GM_Gadget may be able to accommodate more of what you are seeking.

I only understand a fraction of this paragraph. Your technical understanding and setup far exceeds my understanding and equipment.
And yes, I have done just that for the past two days, I'm new to this official Pathfinder roleplaying groups thing, I honestly didn't know what to expect.
I'm not sure what you mean by "official"?

GM Gadget |

@Szeshkya: The cliff-notes version is that to make sure I'm able to respond to any changes to a game, I have to spend every waking hour on the computer constantly refreshing to see new content. And by Official I mean these Paizo forums, instead of people who play Pathfinder elsewhere online.
Odak... most forum games just require you to post once per day. You don't have to lurk so much.

Thanks for the help all. Let me give that a whirl and if I fail miserably I'll happily take your template :)
@Gadget - re dice rolls, I meant do we simply do them oursleves and report the results?

Adjusting to the slow pace of a play-by-post game is the biggest difficulty when you are coming from tabletop or Skype/Roll20, etc. Having run a number of pbp/pbems myself, I can say that our current pace is blazing fast...but that usually happens in the excitement of the start up of a new game.
Roleplaying also usually creates a better pace...it's when you get into combat that things can really bog down in settings like this.

From what I know, you take max HP for each hit die and use 20 Point-buy for ability scores. No stats are rolled as far as I know.

Hmmm, is Dergosh the only actual full-blooded orc in this orc-centric campaign? :)
DERGOSH FOR TEAM LEADER!
Ha, well, I don't think the others would be too pleased if that happened, although I thought Olrune and Garmack were also full-orcs too, hmm. Obviously Odak's not at Orc at all, or even an Ogre. But strange Golians are viewed as Ogres if they side with the likes of Orcs methinks.

Looks like Olrune and Garmack are half-orcs as well, heh.
Not to worry, Dergosh does not hold it against the half-breeds and non-orcs. His loyalty is, in order:
1. Clan Wolftooth
2. His mates in Clan Wolftooth, especially those proven in war

6,413. Humans

I assure you, loud one, I am not a Goblin. Horrible little pyromaniacs, they are. Also so puntable that I managed to kick one thirty feet... at MY size.

Odak the Iron Giant |

I've managed to make some meaningful connections between Tigerwolf and Dergosh but haven't done so for anyone else, even Garmack who could use Odak as a firing platform. Odak gravitates more to help his friends than with strangers, even if they're in the same team.
I'd like to make Odak as interactive with the party members as possible, given his size and strength.

I think the Chief gets to decide leader though who knows how that will really go. I think if the group chooses it has to be someone everyone want's or is willing to follow.
I will have crunch done in time and I will have to take laptop to game tonight to make sure to be on to post. On the phone will not cut it.

Indeed, Dergosh's boisterous ways are not the fancy of everyone. And, his leadership would probably consist of runnning screaming into battle ahead of everyone, waving the orc bannor and trusting to his god to keep him safe...thereby providing that distraction for Tigerwolf.

Odak will have to stride after him to keep him out of trouble, although he's huge, he's not as fast as everyone else, only 20ft per move action. For a guy his size, he must be restricted to a mere few steps at a time!

Dergosh the Loud |

@Gadget Would you rule that this feat affects half-orcs as well, or only orcs?
Foment the Blood
You can unleash a wave of energy that drives orcs into a frenzy.
Prerequisites: Channel energy class feature, orc.
Benefit: When you channel energy, instead of creating its normal effect, you can give orcs a bonus on weapon damage and critical hit confirmation rolls until your next turn. This bonus is equal to the number of dice your channeled energy normally heals or harms. Your channel has its normal effect on other creatures in the area.

So, it's almost showtime and I'm here. Anyone else?
Also, if you haven't talked to me about Odak knowing your character personally before our official game start, better do it quick. I'll treat anybody who hasn't befriended Odak in the past to be an acquaintance who has to earn his trust the hard way. The giant is very loyal to his friends and puts them as a higher priority than anything else, including other party members.

So um, are we just waiting for this chieftain to arrive? Or some of the other players? I wonder if they even know, I remember you said you'd start the game on Saturday so doing this on a friday was quite sudden!
And on this very post, you began the game, haha!
