lol. You can probably see how I'm not naturally predisposed toward the Paladin end of the pool when it comes to class selection... I promise not to make him a demon summoner though.

No worries in either case, I made the comment about the party make up as a sort of tongue and cheek thing. I would not consider it lazy, I am sure you had a long day and I do my best to be helpful. It is how I was raised.

I have a question for you Scott: a shield with your deity's holy symbol on it, does it count as a holy symbol when using channel energy ability or it is just a pretty decoration?

Ok, I got him built. Now I'm gonna have to enter into the bone-crushing process of getting him to the required Scott format. This will probably take many days, so tomorrow I will work on writing and XSLT sheet to convert the output from XML into Scott Text.

Why not copy and paste the format from your bard to the new character and then fill in all the info. That is what I did with both my Aasimar and drow.

Perhaps I should clarify: I hate dealing with guns as a gm. In my humble opinion, they break the game. In this case, it's your problem, not mine. I'm ready to completely run amok! And besides, I consider myself a connoisseur of hypocrisy. Only the finest will do.

I spoke with Karl earlier today, he is going to be working on his character and he stated that he is going make his character a Fighter so as to get him up and going quickly.

I don't mind if he wants to take some time. I mean I know he was interested in playing a Summoner. I am fine with that.

lol, you bastard. Touché, Scott. That was a smooth recovery. Now that you mention it, I never listed the flint for the lock or the ramrod to load the bullets with. I didn't list his underpants, socks nor toothbrush. I recon he's missing lots of things...

I have not heard from Karl since we talked earlier in the week. I tried calling tonight and got his voicemail twice.

Everything is fine. He left his phone in the car Thursday night, ROFL. His business has been very busy as well. He is looking forward to Saturday. My weekend to work, I am off Monday though. I am chping on the bit to get started.

lol We will get there. It is end of the month for me at work so we are slammed. I know about Karl I had my wife call him lol I got worried. :-)

Curious... Is the "detect bard" a paladin ability or an Aasimar one?

I am actually wondering what reason Halvor has for detecting Evil? No where in his background or demeanor does it state he is overly suspicious or not trusting.

In fact it says that he listens to all sides first before making any decisions. I would think he would then not use detect evil unless he needed help making a decision.

If I am right I would ask that we ignore the detect evil. If you have a viable reason for using your ability I will allow the action and give you the alignments.

Also on the same note Halvor did not detect evil on Helga. Is there a reason for that as well? Neither background says that they know each other.

That's what I get for posting late at night or early in the morning...

Halvor does listen to all sides, and for the greater good he has allied with evil individuals to defeat a greater evil. What is not in his background story is that he did loose his paladin hood due to being tricked prior to joining the undead scourge. It is something that he does not discuss. It is also why when Professor Lorimorr instructed Halvor about the history of the Whispering Tyrant. Part of his atonement is to protect Lastwall and the Inner Sea from the whispering Tyrant.
