Having shoulder surgery today, will not be on again today, and tomorrow might be spotty at best. Bot as needed. Vars isn't real complicated.

PFS # 10468
Sovereign Court
Day Job roll: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (20) + 20 = 40 (!)
that must have been a mighty fine dance move Mr McKeener came up with whilst he was in the Maze -- he calls it his a-Mazing dance move!

Craft (books): 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (4) + 29 = 33
Thanks GM!
You'll need to report the game through the PFS reporting system and send out chronicle sheets to everyone. If you need help with any of that, let us know. I think we can all offer our help with that.

Still not sure how the 1/2 xp works.. You can only swap at a brand new level?
Avoreal is 18.2 atm so i dont think she can take 1/2 xp, which means she becomes a 19.2 and will not longer get to adventure unless some new material comes out..
Isn't there something you can run at any level that give 1 xp so i can hit 20th?

The only thing left for PFS I think caps at 18 which is why we were going to do 1/2 rate on this one so we could do it. Shattered Star final section is it. There's nothing else.
Basically we'd need to drop PFS and just find a GM willing to invent meat grinders for us.
Of course, were I going to GM this, I would prefer to drop PFS so I wouldn't be shackled by the creampuff as written encounters.

@Avoreal: I believe you are correct about only being able to do 1/2 XP at a new level, so it looks like you have to take the full 3 XP and be at 19.2
The only thing you can do at level 19 at the moment is Race for the Runecarved Key, the season 4 special. Unfortunately you have to have multiple tables to run that special legally. If you are at 19.2 like Avoreal and then play Runecarved Key, that's actually the only way to get to level 20 in PFS.
Trotter will be taking the full 3 XP to rest at level 19.0 and will sit out if you guys take on Shattered Star book 6. Unfortunately he has already played Runecarved Key so he will be waiting for that level 19 module or AP to come out some day so he can hit level 20.

@GM: The first step is to get the game reported. You'll have to go to "My Account" at the top of the page and then the "Pathfinder Society" section. From there click on the "GM/Event Coordinator Tab" and create a new event with whatever title you want. The most important thing is to note the number it gives you for that event (because you will need to write this on the chronicle sheet) and to check off "Spires of Xin Shalast" as one of the games you are running at that event.
Once you've created the event, there is a button to "Report". This will bring up a form that is pretty self-explanatory. You'll have to put in the date, choose the adventure, enter your own PFS# (and the character number you are applying it to, even if you don't really care about that).
Then you just have to input everyone else's character numbers. The other fields should auto-populate since we all have our characters registered already. Under "Prestige" everyone will get 4 unless they are going slow-track (1/2 XP), in which case they will get 2 prestige.
Then just hit "save and exit" and the game is reported!
And if you ever run more PFS in the future, you can keep reusing the same event and event number by just adding those games to that event. I've been using the same event for all of my games for over a year.

@GM (continued): You can get the chronicle sheet for this adventure from here. It is at the top under the Rise of the Runelords where there is a link to download the chronicle sheets.
You'll only need the last sheet for this adventure. You'll have to print it and sign it at the bottom, writing down the event number for the event you just created above. Along the side you will also need to fill out that we got 3 XP, 4 Prestige, and however much gold the sheet says in the top right corner. The people who are doing slow-track will get 1.5 XP, 2 Prestige, and however much gold is listed under "slow" in the top right corner.
The day job rolls people made above earn them a little extra gold which you'll have to note along the side too:
DC Result GP Award
5 1 gp
10 5 gp
15 10 gp
20 20 gp
25 50 gp
30 75 gp
35 100 gp
40 150 gp
Then just scan them and send them out however you want. Some people just print and sign one copy, then scan it, and then fill out the numbers along the side through Adobe rather than print and sign six copies individually but however you want to do it is up to you.

Yea i thought so.. I shoulda thought it out better when i was leveling so i coulda switched to 1/2 xp and done Shattered Star..
How would a multitable scenerio be ran on pbp? Is it possible to solo the adventure lol..

They don't write modules for any optimized characters. They write modules for 15 point buy, very sub optimal characters. You just have to look at the sample characters in the APs to see what they target. The fighter, for example is a sorry joke.
But really, I'm only running a fighter, and they are not exactly the high end of the power curve at this level. I could have been much more obnoxious with a barbarian or paladin for example.
Heck, Avoreal would eat Vars as a light snack.

That said im not sure how a 4-5 character 15pt buy group and level 16-17 would beat Karzoug.. That dude had a lot of options and hella high hps..

I would be game to just continue on however we chose. I would love to hit 20, of course I am only 18 so not sure how to manage that.

I'm at 18 now. If I take full for this I get 19 and stop. If I take half I can so Shattered Star but we're losing so many people I doubt we can even get a table together.
Wouldn't mind making 20th some day, but it's not easy running at this level, and without Avoreal, I don't particularly like our odds, without a high level divine at that.
Avoreal Starseeker

Im pretty sure eveyone was 18 when we started, which means everyone is 19 now so we could still do Shattered Star it would be just for fun..
Being outside of pfs the gm could alter combat to make it challenging as well..

Who is on the slow track, who is on the normal track?
And Avoreal, if you play through the AP you get special weapons called dominant weapons; if you attack the Karzoug images with these you give him a negative level he can't save. That gives you the opportunity to give him six negative levels before you fight.

Trotter is on normal track, as is Avoreal and Vuvu. I think Vars is on slow track, not sure about Duh.
