Thule, the demon simply laughs at you all, though looks especially at you Thule.
"You fools. If I wanted to destroy you, I could have done so already! I am offering a boon to the one I am connected to, as for the rest fo you, you are NOT to get involved, or risk invoking my ire."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (15) + 22 = 37
There is no statistical disadvantage for the intimidate check he made. I'm just using it to simulate how scary he looks... right now, he seems like he could eat the bones of the party five times over without getting tired."

Alistair Cooper |

I am wondering what the heck to use the wish for to be honest, I really have no idea, gaining lots of power is not really Cooper's thing. there is a wish he might wish for but I can easily see how it would really backfire big time.
Cooper just looks at the demon a bit dumbfounded, he was expecting the wrath of Hell be dumped upon him. this offer took him completely be surprise.
he removes his hand from his pistol. feeling as relaxed as he can be.
He was lost in thought, as he pulled a locket from around his neck. a opened it and looked at it for a bit wondering.
Rana, I could bring her back? but at what cost? perhaps one last chance to see her again, but at what cost to me?
Looking to the demon who had granted the wish, tell me, can you bring life do one that has been lost? but i truly fear what will be wrought upon me should the request be made wrong.

Doombringer the DM |

"I can sense you will have a grand adventure ahead of you. Truth be told, I wish to see Acererak crushed. If you can do that much, you will have Rana back... if that is your desire."

Alistair Cooper |

Cooper contemplates for a moment what to say.
It is niether your nor my right to to change the events that have happened. and though I would love for her to be returned to me. it is her loss that drives me today. it is her memory that fills my every dream.
he pauses a moment. I will look into Acererak, and if necessary I will eliminate him, but it will be by my choice, not by your command. If I do in fact destroy him, then the only wish I want is to see Rana one last time to say goodbye. to sya the words I could not say before she was taken. and only that. she has passed, and I have no right to bring her back. I only want closure in her loss. no more, no less.
on the flip side, If I fail to destroy Acererak, then you no longer have any binding to the wish, you are free to return to wherever you call home. and our deal will be void. neither of us gain nor loose anything.
Should I roll a diplomacy check?

Doombringer the DM |

Nope. The demon smirks and says only this. "So you wished it, so it shall be done." With that, it takes a look at the pillar it poured out of, and transforms into black blood once again, shifting back INTO the pillar. Once this is done, the pillar seems to shrink and shrink into the ground... until there is nothing left. The other pillars remain in place, however...

Alistair Cooper |

Cooper turns to the group, see, nothing to worry about. he says with a little bit of confidence, and a little bit of "thank the gods I didn't die" and a splash of "Do I need to change my underwear?"

max is NG, but it is not like anything bad came from the wish yet. see that wasn't so bad.

Ransaq |

Sorry I'm late to the game here, I've been pretty sick. Everyone in my house has been puking and crapping profusely the last couple days.
After watching the events unfold, Ransaq wonders what would happen if he cut into another of the obelisks.

Doombringer the DM |

I could accept a lot of things, and will try to keep the story on track if you simply get extremely unlucky... but trust me on this, you will not see a Deus ex Machina when it comes to death by stupidity. Fair warning.
That being said, there is no PvP. There will be enough time for that later.

Ransaq |

Ransaq cuts into the obelisk, somewhat fearful, but eager to meet a creature of such power. Would there be a similar effect? There was only one way to find out.
There are many reasons to take risky actions. Assuming I take them out of stupidity is pretty offensive. Being that my character is probably the smartest here, and that I as a person score in the 140's on any IQ test, I'm confident nothing I do is stupid. Foolish perhaps, but those are two different things. On a seperate note, each time someone insults me, it just makes me care less about this game. First I was reprimanded for wanting paid, now my actions are stupid. I'm to the point where I don't really care if I die here or not.

Doombringer the DM |

Needless to say, once you cut into the pillar, out pours black blood and once again does it form into the towering figure. It actually appears to be the same one, but right now, it looks PISSED.
"You dare?! You dare summon me again? I was amiable the first time, but now, you will know my wrath!"
Rnsaq you may roll initiative. The rest of you can IF YOU REALLY WANT TO, but from observations, this creature only appears to want to focus its rage on Ransaq, the one who summoned him.
Glabrezu Initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 11

Ransaq |

Ransaq sheathes his weapon and takes a knee.

Doombringer the DM |

Fort Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
And with a swift motion of its multiple hands, the demon casts a spell... and you find yourself polymorphing. You shrink and shrink and shrink, and change shape until the others can only see that you... have transformed into a single book.
With that, and without responding, the glabrezu once again forms into the black blood and shifts back into the pillar. This one too disappears.
This is essentially an enhanced version of Baleful Polymorph. You are now considered dead until someone reads you, in which case I will state that your magic item kicks in and you shift back into your normal form. This IS your use of the free life."

Ransaq |

So I roll my own initiative, but not my own saves? Seems funny that a 2 would have put me first in initiative either way, but then you switched up your method of resolve and forced your own roll upon me when it would fail. Not to mention you were granting wishes through the kindness of a demons heart, then had the nerve to call me stupid for assuming there was more to it. Plus, Rynjin's been a douchebag over and over. I think this is a good spot for me to exit where it won't ruin your game. Please, have fun with the last word and continue your game, but remove me and jimibones83 from the game in campaign info

I'm not initiating combat, unless I have too, since for the rest of us this is optional. Actually I'm hoping someone with diplomacy can resolve this peacfully
