It was a pretty hot hike. I knew it was hilly, but wasn't expecting it to be quite such a vertically oriented site. The stadium at the top was quite a surprise.

BTW, can I get a check on Alkast the staff. I've written down "holy" but I think earlier I was assuming it was evil outsider bane. While they are very similar, there are some subtle differences, and I want to make sure I have it right.

It's a +1 evil outsider bane quarterstaff, but additionally it deals damage as a good aligned weapon. Both extremes of the staff have these enhancements.

Fuss up time. If the salamander is a normal (albeit big) one, then Alakast won't do bonus damage to him. Evil outsider bane only does extra damage to outsiders with the evil subtype. Alignment itself is not enough :-(

Of course he may have a template that also adds the evil subtype, in which case, roll on extra damage!

They placed here a Noble Salamander, which is a type of salamander not ported to Pathfinder Bestiaries. I am thus applying the D&D3.5 statsblock. It seems on D&D the salamanders where evil (in most cases) so that is why the bane ended up applied ;)

Though it shouldn't affect my posting too much, my work schedule has been shifted to solely night shifts in the wake of our one dedicated night shift person quitting unexpectedly. I do not know whether Juraan's Ram's ring should face Spell Resistance. I am inclined to think so, but I have no idea what rules govern magic items and spell resistance, but I do not think all items have to face SR :/

^Yeah, according to posts in Website Feedback it's an unintended result of some of the code fixes they rolled out earlier today and will be fixed...hopefully sooner rather than later.

Most of mine take a refresh or two before I'll see them show up but I don't think I've ever had any of mine disappear later after the fact.
