She puts a hand on his arm, "I'm sorry Magnus. Maybe some other time then. When I go to the temple to pick up Alethiro I'll offer up a prayer as well. I'm just really glad that we found you and Hjorr and that you're here now. It's the start of a new life, for the both of you....but, I understand what it is to lose someone you love. My thoughts are with you Magnus. Be safe and have a good day." She says as she stands with Celine in her arms. Looking at Toni she asks, "So...you have plans as well?"
"I guess I can stop by," Toni says. "I don't really have any plans for the day."
Pandi finishes her breakfast. "Alright, I'm off to join the town guard and find a place to live."
She takes her plate to the sink, rinses it off and heads out the door.
"Do you want me to go with you?" Gwen asks Cyna.
"Thank you, Arista," Magnus says. "Si farvel til alle, Hjörr."
"Ha det," Hjörr says, waving at Toni, Arista and Celine.
"Bye bye."
Charity rides Toppen up to Kierk and then dismounts. "Good morning, Kierk."
"Good mornin'," Kierk says, looking over the pony. "Well, what sort of bardin' do ya want?"
"I think full barding, but you can skip the chanfron. I'll see a leather worker about that," Charity answers. "I suppose I'll also need a good breastplate and a decent lance for myself."
"Ah 'ave a few pieces tha' migh' work fer you already," Kierk says, directing Charity to his racks of weapons and armor of different shapes and sizes. "Look aroun'."
Charity nods and peruses Kierk's goods.
Pandi asks for directions to Amélie and Gerard's house. After a couple inquiries, she finds the place and knocks on the door.
She nods, "Of course Magnus. Celine...say goodbye to Hjorr honey. He has to go now."
Celine looks up from her mommy's shoulder and waves to him. With a sad little voice she says, "Bye bye Hjorr." Before putting her head back down and sniffling.
Arista sighs, "Bye Hjorr, have a good day okay?" Looking at Toni she says, "I'll see you later. I still have a couple of things to do before picking up Alethiro and doing the grocery shopping for lunch. Have a good morning Toni. Oh...Jelks and Michael's wedding is this evening at Sunset, but they're having the reception at Hadrinn's. If she shows up tonight then I can talk to her after the reception or you can bring her there. Either way...I'll take care of it. See you Toni." Bending down a little she gives her a light hug before heading off to the carpenter's shop.
Tesia stands back and wraps an arm around Rhy as they let Charity pick out what she needs.
"Actually, I'll go to Mr. Meacham's with you," Toni says. "I need to ask about a reputable carpenter who could add an extension to Asha and Priya's place."
After a few minutes she returns to the table looking a little better and sits back down next to Dillon, leaning her head into his arm.
Arista smiles, "Ahh...so I guess things are kinda working out then huh? That should make Rajni happy and it's good for her to have a friend around. I just can't believe how quickly things are changing around here." She says as they start heading towards Mr. Meacham's shop.
Hadrinn returns with the rest of the orders. "Alright, should I expect any other latecomers?"
Toni nods. "That lyre made a huge difference."
She just nods as her mind is already thinking about all the things she needs to do. Looking at Toni she asks, "So...how are you dealing with all of this? I mean the becoming Szef and making it all official and everything. Do you still feel really stressed out, or is it getting easier?"
Toni shrugs. "I think I've gotten used to being on Vesaria and having an eidolon. The rest is easier. As far as the Szef thing, it's no big deal yet."
"I hope not," Ylrhea replies.
Rajni add some sweetner and cream to her coffee before taking a sip and sighing. She then starts eating her sweet roll quietly.
She nods again as she hears snoring coming from her shoulder, "Oh dear...I guess that fit wore her out." She sighs, "That kid was the one that practically tortured her on the ride out here so I know there had to be some pent up anger behind that display....but she has to learn that she can't go around kicking people with those braces. I hope she hasn't kicked anyone else. I also need to see about getting a child's bed for her. We have got to break her of sleeping in our bed somehow....I just...it's...I just don't know and sometimes wonder if I've bitten off more than I can chew."
Toni chuckles as they enter Meacham's wood shop.
"Of course, I could use your help. Let's start with Hadrinn and see about food for the event maybe we can catch a few of the others there." Cyna says.
Sienna gathers up the dishes and washes them quickly. "Alright, let's go."
Gwen puts on her coat. "I'm ready."
As she goes inside the shop she hails Mr. Meacham, "Good morning Mr. Meacham. How are you today?"
Meacham steps away from a table he was sanding. "Good morning. I am well. What can I do for you today?"
"Well...I was sort of hoping that you might have a large table in stock? Maybe one large enough to seat about twelve people or so? I also need a pretty child's bed for Celine. She's been getting into bed at night and I need something that she might like to sleep in so we can break her of sleeping in the bed with us. If you need time to work on that, that's okay. I could let you have the regular sized bed that's in that room as a trade in if you want it. I was also wondering if you might have any booster type seats with straps or anything that I can sit Celine in at the dining table since she's not quite tall enough to reach it?" She asks as she rubs Celine's back while she snores on her shoulder.
"I have a few tables in the back that might work for you," Meacham says. "Also a few children's beds. I don't really have a child's seat. I'd have to make one."
She nods, "That would be great. I can wait on the seat, I'll just try to boost her up with some pillows until you can make it. I'll just go have a look in the back and Ms. Toni can talk to you about what she needs." Arista heads off into the back to look at the tables and beds.
Arista sees various tables of many shapes and sizes in the back that would accommodate her needs (not necessarily her door). There are also children's beds with carvings of flowers on the headboard. There are two that are plain.
Arista goes to look at a long square table made of dark wood that seems to have sections that come out so that the table can be made smaller for less company and to save space. Looking at the leaf carvings in the table she nods to herself before going over to the children's beds. She finds one made from a light pretty wood with the flowers on the headboard. She thinks that maybe if she asked Asha that she could make a pretty canopy to hang over the four posts of the bed. Making her decision she walks back out into the main work room.
"Find something?" Meacham asks.
She nods, "Yes Sir, I'd like the long rectangle table that's made of the dark wood with the leaf pattern. The one that has the two sections that can come out? I'll need the twelve chairs that go with it of course, and I'd like that four post bed that's made with the lighter wood with the flower carvings in it. So, how much do I owe you for all three items now, plus whatever it would cost to have them delivered today? You can have the seat sent to my house whenever it's done, but I'll go ahead and pay for everything right now if that's okay?" She says as she pulls out her coin purse.
"That'll be a hundred and twenty gold," Meacham answers.
Toni whistles.
She nods and counts out one hundred and twenty gold from her pouch and puts them on the counter. Giving him a smile she says, "It's worth every gold to me. Now I just gotta get sheets and pillows and stuff for it."
Meacham stows the coin in a box. "I'll have your furniture delivered in a couple of hours. If Toni would be so kind when she's talking to the paladins."
"Sure thing," Toni says. "Thank you for the tip."
She takes his hand and gives it a squeeze, "Thank you so much Mr. Meacham. Have a nice day." She heads out of the shop with Toni, "So, you gotta go talk to the paladins now?"
Charity selects a sturdy lance and a simple breastplate. "These'll do."
"Yeah, they're the ones who put up the first houses here, so they're the best bet for getting an extension put on," Toni answers. "If Barclay can spare them, that is. But I'll tell them to fetch your furniture and bring it your house."
She smiles and gives her a one armed hug, "Thanks Toni, I'll see you in a few hours then I guess. Good luck, I hope they can get it worked out for you." She says before turning and heading for Asha's, she really needed something she could push Celine around in. She got heavy after a while.
"That'll be two hundred an' ten gold," Kierk says. "It'll take a week t' make the bardin' fer yer pony, but Ah've got the measurements."
Charity looks at Tesia and Rhadaya, knowing this wasn't cheap. "I can give you a camel..."
