"Well, the Anizari are essentially an all female race. We're for the most part human but a bit more than that as well." the magus says as they enter the house.
"Those marking on your body are of great physical, social and sexual significance among the Anizari. Part of the blessing that Aroden provided us is the gift of being able to procreate. Once a year, the possibility of a..change comes to every Anizari, along with the urge to start a family. On the last day of the year with the rise of the new moon you’ll feel it well up. Embracing the change will enable a certain change in…anatomy that would enable impregnating another. The transformation lasts from the rising of the new moon until sunrise the following day."

"Not everyone gets what you have and it's very hard to understand," Dillon says.
She sighs a little before finishing her tea, "Yeah...that makes sense too. I know that my mother, aunt, and sister have had some really bad experiences where men are concerned so I guess I can understand if they're a little more than concerned about my decisions. I also know that I might be a little less emotionally developed than others...but that doesn't mean I don't know what real love looks like. I guess I need to go back and try to explain a different way and just understand that they've been hurt so much that they don't trust men in general and have issues with their daughters rushing into relationships with people they haven't known for very long. I'm trying to understand...I really am...it's just...it's really important to me that they understand how much you mean to me and that I'm not just being reckless. I'd like it if they could be happy for us...but I know the worry makes that difficult. Uggghhhh...why does this have to be so difficult?!" She says in a frustrated tone as she leans her head against his shoulder, "Maybe they just need to get to know you better. I think part of the problem is that they don't know you the way I do. Maybe if they got to know you better they would see what I see...or something like that and then maybe they wouldn't be so worried and could be happy for us. I don't know why their approval is so important to me...it just is. I love you Dillon...more than anything in this world or any other....but....I don't want to hurt them. I know they say I'm an adult and I can do what I want...but that's not what they mean." She puts her hand against his cheek as she leans back to look into his eyes, "I will marry you at the end of the month...as long as they're okay with it....but I'd really like for you to spend more time with me at home and really get to know each other so they know you're not going to hurt me. Is that okay love? Can we do that?" She says as she feels her emotions welling up again. She wanted to marry him...more than anything...but she didn't want to hurt her family...the only other people other than Dillon to really show her what love was.

Giving Rhy one more kiss on the cheek she gives her a little smile as they finish getting their things together. She actually has to force herself to stay focused on what they needed to do, they didn't have time to get distracted. Blushing slightly as she gets the last of their things together she sighs, "Alright, we better get downstairs and go with Ammon to the common house so he can get his things. There will time for other things later...but if we don't get going soon..." She leaves her suggestion open as she opens the door and giving her wife one more glance over her shoulder and a little half smirk, heads back down the stairs to where Ammon waits for them. Giving him a nod she asks, "Alright...I think we're ready, let's go get your stuff so we can meet up with the others."

Going back out to the living room she sees Celine just sort of laying on the couch holding her bear and looking bored. Sighing she goes and sits next to her little girl, resting her hand on the small of her back and rubbing in slow circles. Finally she picks up Celine and holds her in her lap, "What's wrong Celine?"
Arista Milocathe
She sighs and looks out the window. The snow had slowed down and looked like it was about to stop...but there was quite a bit of it outside. She knew that Magnus wouldn't have Hjorr out in this weather...at least she didn't think it was very likely. She couldn't just expect Celine to stay inside all the time either though with so little to do. If the weather was going to start getting bad already, she needed to make sure that Celine had things that she could do inside that would keep her entertained. The snow wasn't horribly deep and she needed to get some things for Celine and talk to the others. Maybe they'd go out for just a little while so that Celine could work off some energy and she could get some things for her. Maybe halfpocket would even have a little sled she could get that Celine could play in the snow with. Who knows what he had, he seemed to have more things every time she went in there. She also needed to find some warmer snow boots for herself, Alethiro, and Celine. She thought she had seen a new shop nearby that made things out of different kind of furs, maybe they would stop by there first.
Making up her mind she turns Celine around to look at her and gives her daughter a little smile, "Look honey, I know you miss Hjorr and want to go out and play.....but I'm sure Hjorr's daddy is keeping him inside right now. Mommy needs to get a few things and we need some warmer winter boots. Want to go shopping with me? We can stop by Mr. Halfpocket's store and see if he has some new things you can play with in the snow. Okay? I know you don't want to be inside all day...but we need to make sure we stay warm too okay? Let's go put on some warm things and then we can go." She says giving a much happier looking Celine a hug. Standing up she carries her back to her and Alethiro's bedroom. She still had all of Celine's things in her wardrobe since she hadn't gotten them switched over to her room yet. Just something else she needed to do, but right now she needed to get her out of the house for a little bit and get some things that they would need if things kept up like this.
Making sure she double layers Celine, she puts her boots back on her which are now a little loose since she didn't need to wear the braces anymore. Sighing she realizes that she would have to carry Celine to the Furriers store if she didn't want her boots coming off of her in the snow. Oh well...just one more reason to go out. Once Celine is ready she puts on another layer as well as two pairs of socks before putting on her heavy hooded cloak and boots. Making sure Celine was bundled up well she picks up her daughter and heads to the furrier first to see if they would have some warmer boots that would fit Celine better now. She might even need to see Asha about some warmer underthings and sleepwear for all of them. She just loved the little outfits she had gotten from her for Celine...but she needed warmer ones and things she could layer so that Celine could still play outside without worrying as much about her getting too cold. They would all need some mittens, or gloves for their hands as well as scarves. She thinks as she heads to the furrier while trying not to have Celine pressed to hard against her still very tender and swollen chest area. She was glad the shop wasn't too far from the house.
Stomping her feet outside the door to knock of the snow she opens the door and goes inside.

I'm not spoiling her am I? I just...I don't want her to be stuck inside all the time and if the weather is going to be getting this bad this soon...I want her to have things she can do inside as well. A bored toddler is never a good thing and is a recipe for disaster or at the very least a very frustrated mommy. I don't mind her playing out in it...I just want to make sure she had the right kind of protective wear and appropriate shoes so that she doesn't get sick. We were't expecting it this soon so we weren't really prepared and now I need to get ready at the last minute and that means taking her out and doing what I do best....well aside from beating the crap out of people....shopping. It'll be okay...it's not like we're gonna freeze just going from shop to shop right?
Arista Milocathe
I don't like being bored either....I don't mind being a house wife for a while....but I'm not gonna just sit around twiddling my thumbs. I already cleaned the house, gave her a bath, took a bath....there's not much else to do. I can't do laundry when it's this cold because I have no where warm enough to hang it so it'll dry. So...when there's nothing else to do...I shop. Maybe I should find some things for me to do when we're stuck in the house on a bad weather day....maybe I'll get some kind of cookie cook book from Halfpocket or something and some stuff so that when we're stuck inside we can bake cookies or something. I don't know....sorry...I'm tired so I'm rambling. I think I'm just trying to justify going out again in the cold.

Drago stumbled back a bit. "Whew, that was.......intense." Catching his breath, "I feel so.....empty. I.....I don't know what to do now."
Maybe this would be a good time to retire? Stay home with Yulia.
Arista Milocathe
I thought you were going to change things up and be some kind of psychic detective or whatever you call it? Or was that something you were thinking of doing with yet another character? Just because you're not a house summoner now...doesn't mean that you're nothing or useless. It might take some time...but there are other ways that you could contribute. Instead of assuming things...why don't you actually talk to your baby mama and find out what she wants and how she feels? You can stay at home and still train to do something meaningful...just because things didn't go the way you thought they should...or would...doesn't mean that your life is over or that it has no meaning.
Drago Zakharov
Retiring was more or less a random thought. I still intend to convert him, I even have an RP way to 'flash level' the process. Got to run it by Henry first of course. Still though, retiring is definitely not outside the realm of his thought process.
Arista Milocathe
*sigh* Maybe you don't need to full on retire...but you at least need to spend some time with Yulia and make sure she knows that she's part of your life and valued by you, not just someone you go to when you don't have anything else to do, or are feeling lost. Instead of just assuming things...why not just talk to her and see what she thinks. It might be nice for her if she thinks that you actually value her opinion. I'm just talking of course as someone's who's been watching from the outside and seeing you do a lot of the same things with Yulia that you did with Elena and letting you know so you don't repeat your mistakes. Not everything that happens has to be this great big played out melodramatic thing...just talk to her. I...I don't know what else to say. What do you mean flash level? Things take time...I don't think this is a process that should be rushed...besides, we got lots of other stuff to deal with before we deal with the summoner stuff. The summoner part of this story is just a small part of the bigger picture, it isn't the whole story.
Drago Zakharov
I get what you're saying, I really do, as a player. As a character, it might take just a little more to sink in. I do intend on talking to Yulia, see what she says.
As to what I mean by 'Flash Level' is gain all 12 levels at the same time. But like I said, got to run that by Henry first.
Arista Milocathe
Hmmmm....I really hope I don't have to become the town therapist...but I'm starting to think that with all the trauma most of our characters have been through that it might become necessary....Drago needs therapy to deal with what his mother put him through alone before he goes totally nutters. I really don't see the 'flash leveling' happening...but that's up to Henry. Just sayin' So now...on top of house wife and mother and kicker of much ass...it looks like I'm also going to be becoming the town social worker, therapist and whatever other hats they think they can fit on my head. *le sigh, le mon petite sigh*
Arista Milocathe
Oh...guess I'm closer to the general store than the fur place? That's cool. We can work with this.
Putting Celine down she walks right up to Halfpocket with an easy smile, "Good afternoon Halfpocket, how is everything?" She asks as she looks at the man trying to pass off his tired goods as "quality merchandise", her smile never faltering as she sets Celine down beside her. She studies the man for a moment even though she's pretty sure that he's trying to pull something and tries to make sure he's not just trying to distract Halfpocket. For some reason he just seemed a little shady to her.

Arista notices the man is shaking a little. He also exhibits the physical signs of a habitual drunkard.
The man grunts. "It's fine..."
Halfpocket sighs and hands the man five silver. "Business never ends today."
The man walks out of the shop after pocketing the silver. The halfling shakes his head. "How can I help you?"

She nods, "Thank you love. I know you would and I just love you that much more for it. I think maybe tonight though I just need to talk to mama alone. Maybe we can set up sometime for you to come by the house? I'll talk to her about it and let you know when...or maybe you should just start dropping by? I'm not sure just yet, but we'll work it out. I just...I think if they got to know you better then maybe they wouldn't worry so much. I love you so much Dillon....so much." She says as she leans her head against his arm.
Arista Milocathe
She sighs as she shakes her head, she didn't quite know how yet but there were things in this town that needed to be addressed and the watch couldn't be expected to handle every single problem. She guessed she needed to start making checks on the people around town sooner rather than later, but it would wait till the weather was a little better. Turning her attention back to Halfpocket she says, "I was wondering if you had gotten anymore things in appropriate for children Celine's age? This weather isn't really conducive to playing outside very much and she's getting really bored at home and I was wondering if maybe you had some puzzles, or coloring books, regular picture books..you know, things like that. Then I was also wondering if you might have a book that has recipes in it for baked goods like cookies and such? I was also wanting to see if you maybe had a plain little childrens sled or something else that she can maybe play with in the snow? We also need something warm for our hands, and maybe some kind of scarf or something? I don't know how much of that stuff you might have...but I thought I'd check here first before dragging Celine around all over the place in this weather." She says, then stopping to catch her breath while giving Halfpocket time to figure just how much of what she asked for he actually had.
Drago Zakharov
Drago was a little wobbly as he walked, "We'll see." The Dhampir followed the otherworldly woman back into the cafe.
Ammon Safar
Getting to the Common House, Ammon went up to his room, grabbed his pre-packed gear and came back down stairs.

Nodding she says, "Alright, I guess we're all ready to go now. Let's head to Cyna's and wait for the others there. I'm sure it won't take them long." Giving their newest acquaintance a smile she leads the way to Cyna and Sienna's place, her arm comfortably around Rhy's waist as they walk through the snow together.
GM Henry Fortuna
"Enjoy your day," Marla says. "I love you, Elsa."
---
Halfpocket flips through the dirty books, which are old children's books. "You can have these. I have a few puzzles but nothing for coloring yet. I don't have any sleds, either. Hopefully, the next boat will bring some of those. Didn't really plan for this kind of weather. I have some gloves and scarves and there are some cookbooks on the bookshelf over there. Just have a look."
Arista Milocathe
She nods, "Oh thank you for the books Halfpocket. I know what you mean about this crazy weather. I don't think any of us expected it this soon. It's not usually this cold around here this early. I thought we'd at least have anther or week or two at least of decent weather...but here it is. Oh well..what can you do? I guess everyone has been scrambling to get supplies huh?" She says as she hands one of the books to Celine and puts the others in her bag, "We can wait on the sled...I didn't think you'd have it this soon anyways, but it never hurts to ask. Anwyays...I'd better get what I need and move on to the next stop. Celine doesn't need to wear her braces anymore so now her boots are a little too big for her. I need to find some appropriate boots that will fit properly and keep her feet dry and warm." Leaving him to his work she goes through the store while Celine finds a place to sit down and looks at her book.
Arista picks out a dark blue and white scarf for Alethiro. This would look lovely with his vestments. She thinks to herself as she pulls out a lovely deep red one for herself, and a pretty green one for Celine. She then goes and picks out blue, red, and green gloves for them to go with the scarves. Going to his growing children's section she picks out two of the wooden puzzles that she thinks Celine should be able to manage without it being a choking hazard. Finally, going over to his bookshelf she takes a look at the books and picks out one that boasts to have 'Fun and Simple Cookie Recipes'. Taking her basket up front she unloads the contents, "Alright...I think that's all I needed for now."
Rajni
Taking a deep breath she lets it out slowly before sitting up, "Alright...I think I better get back home now. If you..." She stops and seems to think for a minute, "If there's anything open later, would you like to maybe go out for dinner...just the two of us and just a short walk on the beach? I mean...once I have time to talk to mama and everything? You could pick me up at the house? "
