Gather your resolve, Thorgrim! If the spirits are evil, its our duty to dispatch the vileness from this temple and town. If they are honorable spirits, left to eternal turmoil, we are honor-bound to find the cause of their unrest and return the spirits to their deserved slumber.

Argyros, I didn't say open the sepulcher. In fact, I said the opposite, until we have a better understanding of what we are dealing with. But, we do need to do something. You seem to have information about what resides in this crypt, why not share it with the group?

Knowledge (local):
There is a tale that is told of a momentous battle fought long ago, where the swamp meets the mountains in the north. A sinister evil was corrupting the land, uniting its resident creatures under the teachings of Saklas, the Lord of Chaos. A force was assembled under the banner of Septimus to confront this threat, led by a band of clerics from throughout the area. They called themselves The Army of Great Friends.
The clerics sped forth ahead of the main force, believing their faith would protect them and bring a quick triumph. When the armed force arrived, and eventually defeated the evil at great cost, the clerics were seen to have all been killed, either as the result of battle or by being captured and sacrificed to Saklas.
The bodies of the slain clerics were brought back to the town and interred as a group in a sepulcher under the Temple of Septimus.

Or they could be the clerics of the Army of Great Friends, cursed by the demon lord Saklas. Either way, Nastrod, we need to find the source of this corruption, for it appears to be affecting more then just the living.
Gezzo walks over to the other door and examines it closely, looking for any traps, locks or indication of what may be on the other side.
Move to R4.
Take 20 on the Perception roll: Take 20+11=31

I examine Serena and see if she is still living and what happened. Also examining the Parchment.
Healing: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
I also examine the area for tracks. Cayden and anyone else.
survival: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29

Healing: Sirena is alive...barely. Shallow respirations, and bleeding from multiple stab wounds.
Perception and Survival: A trail of trodden pasture grass leads northeast until it reaches the wagon trail, then heads north.
The Parchment:
The boy is mine! Modoq paid the price of his betrayal. You will pay the same price if you follow or try to get him back!
If you are going to share the parchment with the others, I will upload a copy to the FB group. If you are not, then I will not. Let me know.

Gezzo runs out of the crypt at top speed with the group.
Move it, Flug! Sirena needs help!
Once in the pasture, he scans the area for threats and any indication of where the attackers escaped.

You leave the temple and make your way over to the pasture area where Sirena and Cayden went to practice using a sling. You don't immediately see them, so you walk farther into the pasture. There is no sign of Cayden, but you see Sirena laying facedown in some tall grass, with a dagger protruding out of her back. The dagger pierces a piece of parchment, holding it in place. The dagger looks familiar - it's the one given to Cayden by Argyros.

Fener has provided some healing to Sarina to stabilize her, but she is still unconscious (less than 0 hit points).
A trail is evident in the tall pasture grass, leading northeast until it meets the wagon road that heads north from the village.

Flug stands still inside the crypt for a few moments, looking at the sepulcher before following Gezzo and the others outside.

Fener explains what he has found and what he suspects. He also removes the dagger from Serena and shows the group the parchment. ( I assumed that I would have removed the dagger before as part of stabilizing, although I didn't say that}
Someone has attacked Serena and has taken the boy. I have discovered clear tracks heading north. I can track them but we should move shortly as soon as we can get Serena healthy. I have provided healing but she needs more, Can anyone provide some additional assistance to her.

"..."
When Flug arrives, he looks around, staying still, before kneeling next to Sirena and placing his hand over her wound. He makes a sound that has no meaning that can be understood and his eyes turn black, the area around him seeming to darken for a brief moment despite the light not changing.
A sickly black light covers the hand touching Sirena's wound and it sluggishly creeps down into her skin, where it disappears.

Gezzo walks around Sirena, at a rough 10 foot radius, with arms out stretched and palms down.
There is some sort of Enchantment aura surrounding Sirena. I don't recognize this as a your typical healing conjuration and it seems to spread too far away her, perhaps in a burst. I can't tell the exact spell, maybe one of you can better determine what type of enchantment. Fener, did you use any other healing spells before we arrived?

The combined healing powers of Fener and Flug revive Sirena to consciousness. Max Roll Flug! Sweet!
She sits up, and sees that her leathers have blood on them -- then has a look of dismay when she realizes it is HER blood! What is this? What has happened to me?

Sirena: Cayden and I came out here so I could help him learn how to use a sling. We were doing that...and then I don't remember anything! The next thing I know, I'm waking up...bloody! Where is Cayden? I don't see him? Someone, or something knocked me out...made me helpless. Thank you all, for coming to my aid.

I think wee need to get moving, we should travel light and fast. lets take our packs and leave the wagon. We can take one horse to help us with the goods.
Once we are ready, I will move ahead and start tracking. we should be carful and move as quiet as possible.
| Nästród, Oracle of the Dasun |
Nästród reads the parchment and the rage builds within his eyes. He throws the parchment down.
"They. . . will. . . pay." He says slowly and deliberately.
He starts down the trail, his lame leg trailing behind him. As he removes his axe and brandishes it, he picks up more and more speed with his shambling gait.
