Jazismus Kanon

Don't know what the PFS table is so will make the roll and let you sort it out. Thanks.
Backtracking a little...
Jazismus checks his harp in his backpack as they approach the gate. He thinks back to the other night and the performance he had given to keep himself conditioned.
Finding an opening to perform at a small opera house during an intermission Jazismus takes center stage alone and sits on a stool. He brings his harp up to his lap with a flourish and begins a tune called The Green.
The wonderful piece is suppose to remind people of wind rustling through the trees and of water babbling over rocks. The calming effect it has is one that eases the bards mind as well.
Perform: String - 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29
Xara Ozolins
Jazismus plays a light tune while the group moves witht the missionaries to Ecanus. His spirits are higher than every now that they are out of the manawastes.
"What do you think?" he asks the group. "Should we ask the guard about are contact or set about gathering info ourselves first, so as not to draw unwanted attention."
** spoiler omitted **
"Shhh." Xara replies to Jazismus. "First, let's try to listen to what they're saying without looking like we're listening. Who knows? Mor might be the most common last name in Nex! If it is our guy, we definitely shouldn't be talking to him (or asking about him) in front of a city guard."
Herani Reagald
Jazismuz and all else. Unless you need something +1 immediately, don't waste your money on it. I can magic if for nothing. Just buy whatever you want - mithral armor, sword, etc. And I can add a +1 or +2 to it. +3 when I get level 3 spells in a while.
@DM Nimon - please let me know how many days traveling is taking and how long we are out of the Mana Wastes so that I can keep track of what I have made. I assume that I have a normal crossbow while my original crossbow is with some mage in the last town being Keened.
I carefully watch Mor to see if there is anything out of place.

Day job table in case anyone has a craft/profession they wish to employ while back at the camp just make a check using the appropriate skill, you can only use one skill. Table is from PFS guide. So Jazismus looks like you made 50g doing your bard thing, not bad.

As you are talking amongest yourselfs and deciding what to do this is what you overhear- I Do not care Sergeant, this has gone on for too long. Find them now and bring them back to be reset. I do not know how you are going to do it, you lost them you figure it out.
The tall black-blue skinned man says in an angry tone.
Yyes Sir! The sergeant replies and marches off.
"Master Vor" notices the procession of monks coming into the city among you and humbly bows Welcome to Ecanus disciples of Irori, the temple has been increased in size to accomidate you
Returning a bow the Abbot of the procession respondes Pleased to be among you. Is it true Master Vor that you have enhanced your panther technique?
Master Vor smiles just slightly and says Yes, how fast news travels. I have also heard you are very effective with your Jinn style. Perhaps we can spar in the temple later this evening when we introduce the rules for the tournament.
Yes, I would like that. May Irori make us stronger for it. His blessing be with you The Abbot says with a flat open palm.
Herani Reagald
Ok - on day 1, this was the day we arrived at the first town. I would have used the first level spells to create a +1 crossbow for myself. If I can find someone to upgrade my crossbow to Keen, then I will use my other level 1 spells and my level 2 spells to create two magic scimitars (or whatever other weapon appears popular in the area.) and will sell these to generate enough cash to pay to have the crossbow Keened.
If no such person appears available or we are unlikely to return to the town, then I will hold off on the selling weapons, and instead create a +2 Headband of Intellect for myself and a suit of +1 Studded Leather for Jaz.
Once I identify a viable mage who can upgrade my Crossbow in a town we are likely to be in for 3-6 days, I will create the selling weapons.
Sorry for the confusion, it would be much easier if we were staying in one place, but I will get this figured out. I think what I will do in the future is to create the items right before bedtime since this is when I will know what spells, if any, I have used.
Also, can I craft an item using my Craft Wondrous Items and also create an item with my skills the same day? My Headband of Mental Prowess +2 will require that I use Owl's Wisdom each day that I am crafting, essentially using up one spell. Does this mean that I cannot create a +2 item that day?

Akor Scourgebane
Upon hearing that there appears to be something lost Akor asks the rest of the group "Sounds like that sergeant could use some help tracking down things that have gone missing. That happens to be my specialty. Think I could offer to help? Or do we not have time?"
Xideus Delorne
"Indeed. I would not help the guards either. Velznic Mor is the one that wants, whatever it is, found. We should help him directly." Xideus tries to blend in with the monks and travelers entering Ecanus. "Let's not initiate trade talk here. It is entirely too public."

Happy Halloween from Colorado
Sounds like you want to find a place to rest for a bit. You quickly find most Inns are full-up. Apparently there is a martial-arts and magical tournament in town with competitors from all over Golarion. You can all find rooms, but not in the same Inn and they are pretty poor rooms (10s a night).

1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34 Herani's gather intell +13 dip/+2 since have Knowledge local
Herani asks around and finds that there is indeed a small house for rent. When the owner is told you only want it for a week to a month, he is hesitant. Well, right now I'd rather hold out for someone that plans on staying a bit longer. This tournament has brought a lot of people to town I bet I could find someone to rent it for six months, or even buy it outright. Tell you what, you rent it for a month for 20g, and include a damage deposit of 100g and we will call it a deal.
Jazismus Kanon

"Your offer is fair goodman," Jazismus says behind a smile. He looks to the others before continuing... Anyone may but in before the next part...
"We will take it and pay the deposit as well. But I hope for a quiet stay before we set off once more. Thank you."

Cost of living is extremly variable on location and events, such as a large tournement in town. After you pay rent though I will not make you pay for food ect, that is too much munutia for a PbP.
Then we have a deal good man. Are you fellas competing in the competition then? The older man asks with intrest.
Herani Reagald
I turn and give Akor a hard glare:
Yes, I have come for the tournament. I have enjoyed watching martial competitions since I was a young girl and this one has the reputation of attracting some of the best. As my dark friend mentioned, he is considering entering if the reward is suitable.
I believe most of the rest of us are also here to watch the tournament, although the archer there is more interested in hunting rare scorpions that are supposed to live near here.

The old man smiles Well this a special one because it is the 100th year it has been put on. If you want to compete you should talk to the Magistrate, he is in charge of the competition this year.Normaly Master Vor is in-charge, but he is actually going to compete this year against the Abbots of several promenate monestaries. I even heard school from Tian-Xia are coming for this special event! The old man explains with enthusiasm. Then he adds As for the magial tournement there is much debate about it because for the first time since the ancient war, Gebbites are going to be invited to participate in the tournament. The old human spits after saying the word Gebbites.
Akor Scourgebane
Where are the X buddies? Neither have posted since Monday :(
Not sure what time it is. If its still mid day Akor will attempt to find somebody to sell the armor he took and to buy a mithral chainshirt from. If its evening, he'll make his way to a busy tavern and see what he can learn about the mood of the town, any rules of the tournament, and potential favorite combatants.
Let me know what rolls I need to make
Xara Ozolins
Never fear, Xara is still here. Every time I have something for her to say, somebody else posts something that I want a response to first before having her say anything.
Xara seems uninterested in the tournament herself, although she smiles and nods encouragingly at the others' interest. She readily offers up her share of the rental fee for the party house.
"That was a good idea. Better to be together."
Xideus Delorne
I'm here. Just been really busy lately and haven't sat down to post.
Xideus keeps unusually quiet around the old man while they discuss the tournament. Once the man leaves he vents his frustration, "Damned highway robbery if you ask me. 20 gold for this shanty, and a 100 gold damage deposit. Ludicrous." He strokes Sindri's scaly body as he watches the others.
"Lets just quickly be done with what we came here to do. I'm starting to miss Absalom."
Herani Reagald
Listening to Xidieus - You are welcome to find a styling room in one of the better hotels. I am sure that we can keep this fine home neat and clean and this way we do not have to worry about the hotel admitting guests below your standards. My guess is that we may be on the road for a while so either you need to acquire a means of transporting goods to make you living conditions of a higher standard, or learn to work with what we have been given.
Now then, I am going to get a room and start working on seeing what I can improve of our equipment so that the next time we meed mutated giants, the balance of power is even more in our favor.
Please let me know if there is anything that I can assist you all with, either magic or knowledge wise.

Like Akor, Xara would like to do some shopping. She'll take the ring of climbing and find a buyer, then find a seller of a ring of sustenance.
I believe once the 5% price reductions are taken into account, she'll have to cough up 1187.5 gp for her new ring.
If it's too late to go shopping, she and Trig will likewise follow Akor, getting a feel for the mood of the town, and watching his back at the same time.
She'll also pick up a wand of [i]cure light wounds[/u] for Trig to use.
Trig Eidolon
Trig follows along, using his fancy new staff as a walking stick.
"I feel I should get myself some sort of hooded black cloak to go with my necromancy badness."
Trig amuses himself casting detect magic out of the staff on everybody they meet.
He auto succeeds on his Use Magic Device to activate wands and staves.
Xideus Delorne
"Oh now you are going to lecture me Herani? You must have missed my point somewhere in that 'craft' this and 'craft' that mind of yours. I was simply stating that the man ripped us off simply due to the lack of other accommodations, but good on him. I would have done the same in his shoes. But you are absolutely right, I must find a way to bring a higher standard of living with me. Maybe I could start with earplugs." He huffs a laugh as he leaves the house through the back.
Exiting, he looks around the area seeing if it is somewhat secluded. If the area is a bit obscure from normal traffic he will draw Io and begin to go into a very calibrated and finely tuned training routine. During this training he is stabbing at imaginary foes, drawing and sheathing the scimitar, placing his feet at precise locations. It is the dervish dance he learned while under the tutelage of a Qadiran (Qelish?) Harbringer. The training was a payment from Arodeth for his service to the Harbringers.

Time is mid-day, a few hours befor dawn.
Magic is easy to find here, you can find a ring and or a buyer. Jazsimus was not clear on what everyone had, I think 2050 was what was decided after the Hag's stash. I will post more on the tournement tonight when I get back from school, in about four hours. My posts this next week might be slim, I am starting a new job, but once I get use to new schedul it should remain at same pace.

First of all, this tournament sounds like it could be a ton of fun!!
Second, I suck at math. The armor I am trying to sell is 8,050g. How much will I make off that with the -5% factored in? Also, a mithral chainshirt with Shadow is 4,850g, how much would that be? Sorry, percentages n such were one of the things I always had trouble with.

You will get 7647.5. Are you trying to get magic armor? Mithral Chainmail is 4150. A mithral Chainshirt is 1100. If you buy the armor, I can give it a +1 or +2, but then you will have to pay for the shadow enchantment since I cannot do that. If it is the same 5%, then 95% of 3750 is 3562.50 So the total cost should be 4662.50 for a Mithral Shadow Chainshirt I would think (no discount on the initial armor purchase, but you will get the +1 or +2 when I have free spells, for free.)
Xideus Delorne
When does the tournament start and what's the tournament prize? =) Herani, you have that +2 AC ring, right? I took the +1, I think, based on the last loot recap. Just want to make sure everyone is using the items they have.
Xideus returns to the house around dinner time, his hair damp from sweat. He retreats to his room and cleans up, returning in a silk robe. He takes a swig of the water he had brought in earlier. Rummaging through the house he doesn't find much, so he sits down at the table in the common room and puts his feet up on it. He nurses his cup of water, staring off into the distance.
He speaks aloud, "It would be interesting for us to pose as traveling fighters. When we win, Velznic would be sure to meet with us to congratulate us. As the old adage goes, the best way to hide something is in plain sight."
Herani Reagald
The competition sounds interesting, I will have to consider the cross-discipline arcane competition.
My plan for today is to create Cloaks of Resistance +1 or Rings of Protection +1. Anyone who wants one of these, please let me know. I will also make a +2 Headband of Intellect for myself with the skill bonus in Acrobatics.
Xara Ozolins
"Perhaps Trig and I should consider the summoner competition. Might be fun to stick it some pompous devil-worshipper. What do you think, Trig?"
Trig Eidolon
Trig, who has been going around all day scanning people with his detect undead stick, doesn't seem to hear Xara, as he's currently watching Belros very intently (not taking his eyes off him) and closely (from about three feet away).
Once it looks like he's gotten on Belros' nerves enough, he asks casually, "So, Belros, is there perhaps something you should be telling the rest of us?"
He gestures meaningfully with the staff.
Bluff: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
His giant smirk gives himself away.
Xara Ozolins
"Of course, if Belros is going to enter the fighting competition, perhaps he'll need a green punching bag for practice?"
Akor Scourgebane
"I think I would do well in the cross discipline fights, of both the Magus division as well as in the magical one. Of course, if there's an archery contest, I would probably excel at that as well."
Trig Eidolon
"Un, oh," Xara whispers.
"Magical thingy pet!? Magical thingy pet!? Indeed! I will show you, pet!!
He sets aside his staff, unfurls his wings, and takes to the air...only to quickly bump his head on the low ceiling of their shanty. He growls at the roof beam a moment, then grabs on and pulls himself up on to it. "Come on then, mister Important Human. Take your best punch on the group pet. Ask Jazismus if he thinks all I am is some magic lap dog!"
Xideus Delorne
Xideus chuckles at the two. "Yes, you really should teach that devil-worshiper a thing or two, Xara." He huffs out disapproval for those who use demons, "Chelaxian dogs, becoming lazy and reliant on infernal power."
He turns to Akor with an eyebrow raised, "You know if we both enter the contest... He just smiles and leaves it at that.

According to the pamphlet the tournaments start once the procession from Geb arrives. This should be in 3 days time. There is also a proclaimation next about this on the boards
For the duration of the tournament, in accordance with Geb law, there is to be no channeling of positive energy outside the arenas, with the exception of the Temple district. Any one so guilty of this offense will be handed over to the magistrate and recieve a fine of 1,000 gold coins. this is signed by the Arch-Lords of Nex.
You hear on the street that an entire section of the city has been rented out to accomidate the Gebbites.
There is a bardic archery competiton, this is more of a display of personal skill/mixed with prestigitations to be entertaining rather than a line of archers competing. Though archers are allowed in the combat tournaments, one Zen archer has been mentioned on the streets to be a favorite in the Single combatant category.
