I am still getting intermittent display issues with standard desktop browsers as well, so it isn't just mobile browsers. Granted it they are far less than a few days ago, but I still get them.

I can't download any of my scenarios or books.
I minimized them the last round before the site updates but now I can't get at them at all as the links are gone!

Nightdeath: I would try a different browser and if the problem persists post something in the website feedback forums.

Update: I have noticed that when I do this and I'm at the bottom of a thread and I click in blank space, it appears to click one of the buttons at the top of the page (which are not even visible!). Post carefully or you'll lose your text!

Hello! I have a question maybe one of you may be able to answer.
I currently have a PFS character, Fifi, at level 1 (2 EXP total). She has gone through two wonderful adventures in these forums through the PbP format.

Two weeks ago, I incorrectly thought I could use her both in PbP and in normal PFS play, and so completed 2 scenarios with her. (My mistake for not explaining the situation to the GMs). Does anyone know if I can do anything about those 2 points of EXP that I gained two weeks ago? Can I assign them to another character? Or can I retro-actively duplicate Fifi? (One for PbP, one for normal PFS play)

You can use a character in both PbP and normal play. What you cannot do is use the PC in face to face games while that same PC is in the middle of a pbp game, just like you couldn't play two games simultaneously with the PC.

It's alright if they are. Just wanted to get a definite answer from you experienced people. Additionally, in the case the answer is yes, those scenarios are lost, can I have two PFS character that are basically the same? (different EXP, Fame and all that)

Is your PC still in a pbp game?

The general guideline is when you make an honest mistake like this, don't undo it. Just know what the rule is and follow it from now on.

If you are still playing a pbp game, then continue doing so, but nothing you earned from the two games you played at a face to face table is available to your PC until you finish the pbp game.

That's how we've handled this in the past.

She is currently finishing up the first scenario in a series of 5 tied scenarios. (The GM wanted to do a 5-course game that's been awesome so far!)

I thought PbP characters couldn't be played in face-to-face games. If that's not the case, I'll keep the experience on Fifi, and refer to my GM if he finds it fitting that I can apply the XP to her in-between scenarios.

If he thinks it'll break the storyline structure, I believe it's best to stick with his decision, and continue using Fifi without taking into account face-to-face games during his 5-course game run.

Cup was born in the PbP world, but has played in 3 or 4 live games as well.

Fifi, characters can indeed be played in both Play by Post games and in person games, but not at the same time. In other words, if a character is in a PbP game, they can't do an in person game until that PbP game ends. It sounds like in this case you didn't know about that limitation, and so played two in person scenarios when you were in the middle of a PbP game. If this is true, since you're so new here (and to PFS in general), we'll go with the more lenient solution. When Fifi's current PbP game ends, apply her PbP game credit, and then the two in person game credits. (and don't do it again :) )

As for your mistake, it was -- as Mike and Redelia said -- an honest one. Just don't do it again! If your GM wants an official VC ruling on this, we'll treat those two misassigned adventures exactly as if they were GM credits. They'll apply at the end of your current adventure.

It's a bigger issue if your character died in one of the games. But hopefully that didn't happen.

Could she create a duplicate of the character and get the respective GMs to change who the chronicle is allocated to? I think that would be possible as long as you were not playing the character in a more advanced state, such as having 600 gp of equipment when the duplicate would have only had 150 gp.

Example: I play Omnipresent, char xxxx-1 in a PBP game and a F2F game. In both instances it was a character with 0 XP and 150 GP. The GMs both allocated their chronicles to Omnipresent. So I create FooBar, char xxxx-2, and ask the GM from one of the two to change the allocation of the Chronicle to FooBar xxxx-2. I think that would be OK, particularly since a level 1 character is so morphic.

Of course that would depend on the GM and whether they want to put forth that kind of effort.

The color tags are not from Paizo's code, so anyone without the PCT won't be able to see color, they'll only see the tag.

And PCT (Paizo Campaign Tools extension) is a bit borked with the most recent changes to the site (e.g., auto alias select isn't working). Oladon is working on a new feature and plans to fix the issues with PCT and the new site when that feature rolls out.

With the new season 10 guide available... has anyone been able to download the season 10 faction jounral cards?

Sure can, Aerondor. I just had to have the downloads section in my digital content recreate the file for me. Though when I got them they were labeled backwards (Half sheets under full and vice versa).

Yep, I had the same issue. I just had to click the "Problem with downloading this file" link and then it rebuilt it with the new season 10 cards.

Hello, is there a ‘track changes’ document that just explains what changed in the PFS guide?

I read the new PFS guide and want to confirm my assumption on the Scarab Sages faction.

As the faction is ‘inactive’ and not ‘retired’ PCs who remain in the faction

- earn Scarab Sages boons from past seasons and

- can continue to fulfill goals on their faction journal cards from past seasons?

"Halfway through Season 9, the Scarab Sages faction became inactive. While the Pathfinder Society campaign is unlikely to produce more content to support this faction, characters who are already members of the Scarab Sages can retain their membership in the faction and continue to spend Prestige Points on faction benefits. Characters who are members of the Scarab Sages can also switch to another faction at a cost of 0 Prestige Points at the beginning of the next adventure they play after August 2, 2018.“

That is my understanding as well. No new characters can join, but you are not forced to leave it either.

Hey, everyone, there have been some reports of people not getting notifications of posts in gameplay threads. This happened to me; there were several games I did a dot and delete a few weeks ago, and they started yesterday, and I didn't get any notification. So if you have a game that you expected would have started yesterday and did not, check on it.

Thanks for this! Only one of my tables was neglecting the notifications, and with all of the other activity it was easy to not even think to look at it (!!)

It seems like Paizo’s servers have a sense of humor. Whenever we have a convention, they go astray!

We’ve had some shuffling and changes of personnel in the VO team. Chis Marsh (aka Dungeon Master S) is a popular guy, and so his New Hampshire Venture team has asked him to return back to them. However, he’s not giving up his Play-by-Posts, merely which team has first call on him.

Redelia is stepping up as our newest Venture Lieutenant, and will be working alongside Magabeus. Yay! I hope everyone congratulates her.

We also have 3 new VAs starting.

Stephen Glicker is the VA of our newest Lodge, Roll for Combat. It’s a PBP lodge in a discord channel, specializing in Starfinder and Playtest. It’s a bit of an experiment for us, but they have been going for eight months now and have numerous tables doing asynchronous play!

Elinnea is our new VA for Flaxseed Lodge. She’s been a helpful presence behind the scenes with us for some time. If you’ve used the Pregen templates in the PBP GM Kit, half of them were her work. Like a skittermander, she’s always here to help!

Tyranius is a familiar face, especially for those doing the Starfinder special. He’ll be the new VA in charge of Castamir’s Station.

Discord is a free voice and text chat app. It is used in video gaming a lot for voice chat. It is similar to Skype or Teamspeak in some ways.
