Male Kitsune Rogue (Kitsune Trickster) 5 [ HP 34/34 | AC19 T 16 FF 14 | CMD 19 | F +2 R +9 W +3 | Init +6 | Per +9 low-light vision]

Right you are, Nyroba. I overlooked that possibility.

Hitoru prepares his rapier. He is ready to distract the enemies for his companions to better hit them.

Everyone set? Marching order and actions? Who opens the door?

F Human (Mwangi) cleric (evangelist) 3/fighter 1 | HP 33/33| AC 18 T 9 FF 18 | Ft +7 Rf +0 Wi +5 | Perc +3 | Liberation 3/3 | Performance 11/11

Nyroba is in front of the door, and will open it.

Island Elf(link)

Crouched besides the door an' ready ta' be lookin' in an' helpin'. out. (^_^)

You grip the handle and push the door. It doesnt budge. You believe it to be locked

Male Kitsune Rogue (Kitsune Trickster) 5 [ HP 34/34 | AC19 T 16 FF 14 | CMD 19 | F +2 R +9 W +3 | Init +6 | Per +9 low-light vision]

"I guess it is your area of expertise, Sunny"

Island Elf(link)

"Ah!" Sunny exclaims as the group finds themselves confronting a hurdle. Standing up and thence examining the door,

Perception:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25(To check for traps etc)

Disable device 1:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28(To remove any nasties before,)

Disable device:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13(To open the lock)

"Ooops...." She says as something goes 'plink' that maybe shouldn't have. :(

Sunny believes there to be no traps on the door, and easily picks the lock. a feint but agreeable 'CLICK' can be heard

Island Elf(link)

*Breathes a big 'Sigh' of relief that nothing bad happened* (^_^)

Slowly, gently pushes the door open enough to begin peering cautiously inside...

Perception:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

Inside is an empty office, except for a single almost decrepit discusting looking person or creature that seems to be sitting on some kind of trap door
Welcome he greets you in a raspy hissing voice. No emotion can be seen on his face

K.Religeon?

Island Elf(link)

Suny pulls back and indicates that there's something inside the door/room.

Suny has no Knowledge of religions...Other than stories, rumors and hearsay...

F Human (Mwangi) cleric (evangelist) 3/fighter 1 | HP 33/33| AC 18 T 9 FF 18 | Ft +7 Rf +0 Wi +5 | Perc +3 | Liberation 3/3 | Performance 11/11

Can you describe him more? Does he look like an old human?

Knowledge(religion): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Male Aasimar HP 78/79 (27/28temp), AC 28, Touch 16, FF 26, Fort +9 Reflex +8 WIll +13

Marcus has no knowledge of the creature either so he will greet it in return.

Hello...

Male Kitsune Rogue (Kitsune Trickster) 5 [ HP 34/34 | AC19 T 16 FF 14 | CMD 19 | F +2 R +9 W +3 | Init +6 | Per +9 low-light vision]

No knowledge here either...

Sorry guys, lots of things that goes with LIFE happened, but back again

Nyroba:
It is an undead, a ghoul you think. other than that, you arent sure

The creature grins
Welcome, it seems you have beaten some of my workers, sad, but unavoidable, will find ones soon enough. Now, I suppose you wish to go down to see our master. I will let you pass if you answer my riddles, or, well, i can replace my workers with you?

Island Elf(link)

Suny frowns at the...creature/person's words...

"That in't right..." She mumbles....

He is old looking, his skin grey and rimpled, his eyes sunk way too deep into his skull. his hair is almost all gone, some tufts remain, his teeth are yellow and very edgy, he has long arms, long fingers, and very vicious looking fingernails.his attire is ratty and almost falling off of him

Male Human Fighter 6 | HP 65/65 | AC 20 FF 16 Touch 14 | CMD 24 | Initiative +6 | Fort +8, Ref +7, Will +7

"So you created those monsters. Just for fun what is this first riddle?"

Ausk keeps his bow aimed squarely at the man in case he tries anything.

Male Aasimar HP 78/79 (27/28temp), AC 28, Touch 16, FF 26, Fort +9 Reflex +8 WIll +13

GIve us the riddle old man. We don't have time to waste.

F Human (Mwangi) cleric (evangelist) 3/fighter 1 | HP 33/33| AC 18 T 9 FF 18 | Ft +7 Rf +0 Wi +5 | Perc +3 | Liberation 3/3 | Performance 11/11

"Tell us the riddle, and then perhaps I will have one for you," Nyroba says coolly, keeping her hammer at hand.

Can we assume that the princess healed any of us who got hurt?

Yes. Healed up

He smirks and slowly stands up
Very well, my first riddle. Listen well mortals:
A natural state, I'm sought by all.
Go without me, and you shall fall.
You do me when you spend,
and use me when you eat to no end.

What am I?

F Human (Mwangi) cleric (evangelist) 3/fighter 1 | HP 33/33| AC 18 T 9 FF 18 | Ft +7 Rf +0 Wi +5 | Perc +3 | Liberation 3/3 | Performance 11/11

Int check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

I hate riddles, Nyroba thinks.

Island Elf(link)

Suny also has no time for riddles with creepy looking things in the dark as she begins to sidle around the walls of the room. Attempting to position herself to flank etc...

Stealth:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

Well lets see, something sought by all in a natural state could be gold or silver... Maybe even gems, but those don't keep you from falling unless it is falling in the figurative sense and you need wealth to rise. Hmmm but you do me when you spend. Well when you spend you weigh you options to get a good price and bargain. Eating to no end... Well you use restraint for that. I have the answer old man.

The answer is balance. Balance is sought by all to live in peace with others and oneself. you need balance not to fall. You blance and weigh options when spending and you balance you want and need to eat. So Balance is the answer.

The creature nods at the answer given to him

Now for my second riddle:
We hurt without moving.
We poison without touching.
We bear the truth and the lies.
We are not to be judged by our size.

What are we?

F Human (Mwangi) cleric (evangelist) 3/fighter 1 | HP 33/33| AC 18 T 9 FF 18 | Ft +7 Rf +0 Wi +5 | Perc +3 | Liberation 3/3 | Performance 11/11

"My first thought is caltrops, but that can't be it."

Island Elf(link)

Suny continues to try and be sneaky around behind the...person...waiting for the inevitable combat to start...

Stealth:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

The creature waits patiently
When you are ready with your answer, i will be here

Male Aasimar HP 78/79 (27/28temp), AC 28, Touch 16, FF 26, Fort +9 Reflex +8 WIll +13

This one is too easy old man. Maybe without the truth and lies line, but put it all together and the answer is words. Words can hurt or sooth, and the wrong words can spread like posion. We have answered your riddles now let us pass.

That one was pretty easy. The first one not so much. This is fn though. Our home DM likes to use riddles sometimes as well.

he smirks, his yellow crooked teeth uneven in his mouth
One more human, one more he stands back, allowing access to the door, but still blocking it in a way
I fly, yet I have no wings. I cry, yet I have no eyes. Darkness follows me; lower light I never see.

What am I?

Male Aasimar HP 78/79 (27/28temp), AC 28, Touch 16, FF 26, Fort +9 Reflex +8 WIll +13

Clouds of course. It has to be a cloud. They fly through the air, they cry rain from the gods, and sometimes block out the sun providing shade.

The creature chuckles
Good work human, you may pass.
He walks out, with out a care in the world
Whats left is an empty office and a trap door

F Human (Mwangi) cleric (evangelist) 3/fighter 1 | HP 33/33| AC 18 T 9 FF 18 | Ft +7 Rf +0 Wi +5 | Perc +3 | Liberation 3/3 | Performance 11/11

"Wait. I have a question for you. Why did you create zombies? Were they building or making something for you? Who and what are you, exactly?"

He stops and turn, facing the one who spoke
I was bored, and there was no way i was going to work in this filthy place myself, zombies were the best option, since venturing out asking people to do it for me was way to much work and a much higher chance of failure

F Human (Mwangi) cleric (evangelist) 3/fighter 1 | HP 33/33| AC 18 T 9 FF 18 | Ft +7 Rf +0 Wi +5 | Perc +3 | Liberation 3/3 | Performance 11/11

I should have done this a long time ago, but detect evil?

"What were they doing for you?"

Yup, evil. :P

He looked puzzled
Cleaning. There was no way i was going to keep my place clean myself

F Human (Mwangi) cleric (evangelist) 3/fighter 1 | HP 33/33| AC 18 T 9 FF 18 | Ft +7 Rf +0 Wi +5 | Perc +3 | Liberation 3/3 | Performance 11/11

Sorry, thought I was waiting on a response.

"We were told a horrible monster was here, invisible. Do you know anything about that?"

He seems to think, then finally shrugs
No idea, I just keep this place tidy for myself, well goodbye

F Human (Mwangi) cleric (evangelist) 3/fighter 1 | HP 33/33| AC 18 T 9 FF 18 | Ft +7 Rf +0 Wi +5 | Perc +3 | Liberation 3/3 | Performance 11/11

"Why are you leaving? I did say I had a riddle for you. I'm not much for riddles, but I do remember this one."

Assuming he doesn't just leave:

Nyroba shifts her grip on her hammer, moving it from one hand to the other, as she recites the riddle:

"What is greater than the Gods, and fouler than the Abyss? Paupers have it, but the rich need it; the dead eat it always, and living men who eat it die slowly."

The creature laughs loudly. His laugh hollow and empty. His eyes showing no joy or mirth
Nothing my friend. Nothing is greater than the gods, nothing is fouler than abyss, paupers have nothing, the rich need nothing, the dead eat nothing... unless you're me or a zombie I guess, and the living will die slowly if they eat nothing

Hmm, is there a reason for this riddle? Does she want to fight the creature or just making conversation...?

Dunno. But the character asked, he answered :)

Island Elf(link)

Suny waits, poised...

F Human (Mwangi) cleric (evangelist) 3/fighter 1 | HP 33/33| AC 18 T 9 FF 18 | Ft +7 Rf +0 Wi +5 | Perc +3 | Liberation 3/3 | Performance 11/11

"Yes, Absolutely nothing..."

Nyroba suddenly charges the creature, swinging her hammer.

"...which is what you should be, and what you are about to become!"

charging, power attack: 1d20 + 9 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 9 - 2 + 2 = 20
damage: 1d12 + 6 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 6 = 19

Initiative please. Baddy 19dmg

Baddy Initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

Island Elf(link)

Initiative:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 (Plus Suny was waiting to go into action)

Acrobatics:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

As she tumbles into the fray.

Ausk, since you beat its initiative, you can probably go ahead and make an attack.
