Yar!
As for dealing with the goblins, we can't publicly claim credit since the Hellknights might get twitchy. Perhaps a 'Whisper' campaign where the members of our group+NPCs just spread talk about some commonfolk getting fed up with the goblins. Third hand knowledge and stuff. "I heard it from my cousin who heard it from his brother that the goblins were killed by some people."

This is just a heads up. I will have limited accessibility due to travel from 25 Jul until 9 Aug. I will have my computer, but will only be able to post as the wife and available internet access allow.

Thank you Iolana, Stanley and Leeka. I have recruited four more PC's, and I will be adding tokens to the Roll20 game soon. Those four have been instructed to post here, and they did not disappoint. None of those that posted did, in fact. I wish I could have taken them all, but I could not. As it was, with the apparent loss of Lucina, I decided to take four new recruits for the Free Citizens. We had some great entries, but these were the four that were chosen.
I think that it would be good for the current free citizens look to the recruiting thread as well, as the recruits were instructed to discuss what to do with whitechin and a symbol to use for the Free citizens.
I will post again later today, likely at my normal posting time, after 9:00 PM Central US time.

The scene with the mother I had began writing as an added scened (it's not in the AP, for those that don't have it).
It was very dark, and this is actually much brighter than the initial thought. I still consider this scene to be extremely dark, and I want to gauge everyone's comfort level with this scene. The AP has some other scenes that are on par with this, and I want to make sure it's enjoyable. It's a sad scene... even sadder given the time frame of the kidnapping and it being goblins.

No worries, Stanley, I have had (and remain to have) some personal issues cramping up my posting schedule. My apologies to all.
Full Disclosure:
Unfortunately, the siding on my home... failed... in a couple of spots. Therefore I have to fix it. The siding was slated to be done next year anyways, but this year forced the issue. Between that, and, when closing in a room, I found a 30-foot deep hand-dug well (note: my home was built sometime around 1870), which was not disclosed and was in a section of floor that was... damaged.
So, I've spent the last 2 weeks just FIXING that section of my home, and repairing all the water damage. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the issue, it's not worth putting in an insurance claim. The good news is that I'll be certain it's all fixed soon, and it will be done correctly because I am the one doing it (budget for hiring a contractor was next year, advancing it a year means I have to do it).
That, and finding the well darn near would have added about 1/3 as much as the siding to cover it and seal it properly like I did (450 pounds of concrete and rebar should fix that).

Tell me about it. My parents home went down in price hard. Really hard. A few years ago, my uncle sold his fathers home for about 12 times what we got now. Granted the garden was bigger, but Twelve times.....

I'll be moving back to the States on Friday and over the course of next week be catching up with family. Expect me to be gone completely over the weekend and intermittent at best until the 8th.

Well, I think Leeka wanted one of the masterwork short swords, assuming they're small sized (a good bet). That leaves one of the swords, a scroll that I don't think we managed to identify, and cash totaling 12.92 gp, which split seven ways means...
*quick math*
1.84 gp each! I'm guessing everyone can just add the gold.

I'd like to try something different to make my initiative tracking easier. I would like to use the party initiative, when appropriate (average of everyone), versus the average initiative of the enemies. Appropriate times include when the ENTIRE party is in combat, not just one or two (then it's those two's initiative).
Why? It gets confusing with the different initiatives in a PbP, and it's also harder to figure out how to adjucate. This way, whomever posts first goes first in that round (as far as the party is concerned). I'll still do the group 1, group 2, group 3, especially if we're waiting for someone.
I'd like a yay/nay on this one, please. I would like to try that with the current combat.
Now, onto maps... I'm barely getting time to run the game ATM. House project took my map making time away :( I know they were lousy maps, but they were my maps. I will be able to do maps again likely in Winter... provided I'm not outside freezing my butt off and still working on the project.

I thought about it for a long time, but I will bow out.
One reason is, we will start it at the table and I do not want to spoil a few surprises, the other is that I could never identify myself with my character. He sounded great on paper, but I somehow never connected inplay. It has been an honor and a joy writing with you, but you deserve my best and somehow.. I can not offer it. I just can not. And then I know I have to offer my spot to someone... who can.
@GM It has been a pleasure, maybe another day!

[Brief message to all games]
My apologies for the MIA over the last couple of games--work jumped me with a couple surprises earlier this week, I'm opening a show Sunday night, flying to a wedding in a different state Saturday, and helping run a huge fundraising event on Monday. So I may be out for a day or two more, though I will try to read and update as I can! Please feel free to bot me if needed.
All should be back to normal on the 21st! :)
