Hi there, checking in! Thanks a bunch for selecting me. I'm looking forward to this! Disclaimer: I have read the first chapter of this as I intended to run it for my home group some years ago, but the game fell through and I honestly forget most of the details, so I shouldn't have to worry about metagaming.

I'm about to head to class, so please ignore the stuff on this avatar (co-opted an abandoned character idea). I'll be doing the stats and stuff later tonight sometime.

To the rest of the party: Hi, all! As I said in my application, I'm happy to play either a Paladin or an Inquisitor as the party needs. Either suits my character perfectly. :)

Anyhoo, glad to have everyone, and I'm looking to see what we end up playing.

My disclaimer is that I have played a bit of the campaign, but it was about 4 years ago. I haven't a clue about most of the plot other than remembering that there is a play at some point early on.

Lucina is a paladin of Cayden Cailean, and CG at that, thanks to the GM kindly allowing some flexibility in this regard. So... she'll probably get into some trouble with him, don't you worry. ;)

I'll have to work up a code of conduct for her when I get a chance. *hums*

Tervon needs to stick close to Leeka. With Dirty Trick, she can spend her time blinding enemies for Tervon to sneak attack.

Despite the fact that she will have very few if any rogue levels, I think of Leeka as a rogue in terms of her role, and the halfling opportunist prestige class does give her a bit of sneak attack. She can also aid another on traps and searching.

I think Leeka's next three levels will be Lore Warden, then one level of either rogue or Empyreal Sorcerer, before starting the Opportunist prestige class, if that changes your mind about paladin vs inquisitor. However, Leeka will never be a big damage dealer--she's a melee debuffer.

Hey, thanks for including me! This is by no means my first Pathfinder game, and it's certainly not my first play-by-post game, but this is my very first play-by-post Pathfinder game. (My previous play-by-post experience was all 4e.)

Enera is going to be a melee-focused alchemist, although she'll probably use some bombs, especially in the first two levels, when she doesn't have Power Attack. She will probably take Alchemist for a while, but switch to Master Chymist at the first opportunity.


Glad to see 5/6 of the party has checked in already.

I've never played with a melee alchemist, so I'm hoping the party isn't too weak when it comes to combat. That said, I like odd parties who work together to overcome their obstacles and deficiencies.

Can't wait to see that code, Lucina!

Enera, tanglefoot bombs would be crazy useful for a melee-focused alchemist. With a witch and a Dirty Trick expert, this group looks like the debuffer squad.

Hmm, I'll have to think about that for my 4th or 6th level discovery. But if we already have debuffing covered, I might go for infusion and spread some of my extracts around.

ICT, I've never played a melee alchemist either, but I hear good things! We'll see how it goes!

Not really sure where I plan on taking Stanley, progression-wise. I guess I'll see based on what plays out. I do know he is built for a bit of heal focus for now. He is also all about reading people and making friends.

EDIT: Okay, looking at the witch stuff, I can't take both beast-bonded, and hedge witch. I think it was either something HeroLabs let me do, or a decision I had to make. Either way, I will remove the beast-bonded.

Lucina's stats should be just about done. My intention is to get the Step Up line as well as Combat Reflexes into some Crit related feats at higher levels for fun swashbuckling shenanigans. Not the most damage until I can get an agile rapier, but I should be damn hard to hit and a general pain in the backside.

Will work on a code of conduct tomorrow.

I plan to stay straight rogue overall. Some unarmed combat tricks/grappling will be very handy in the future, and I think Leeka and Tervon will be a mean melee combo.


Good morning, folks. We're still waiting on one more to check in, so please let me know when you're ready for me to review each of your profiles.

A couple of things I'd like to discuss:

1. Initiative. I intend to roll initiative whenever we enter combat. In order to honor efforts to boost initiative, we will use individual initiative until it becomes a bottle-neck for progress. If we discover that it's slowing things down too much to act in order, we will transition to group initiative where the average initiative will act first - whether . I'd prefer to never make this transition.

2. Perception. There will be times that I'll "roll" or take a look at passive perception to point things out to individuals. You're welcome to roll perception on your own when you want to specifically "activate" it, but I've found it can be difficult to know when to roll for that skill in particular in PBP games.

3. Skill checks. I'm currently GM'ing an Edge of the Empire game in real life (and loving it), and so I'm currently in a heavily narrative-focused mindset. I'm not going to break the rules or anything, but I'm also going to reward creativity alongside successful roles. When you take an action, such as Diplomacy, Survival or perhaps even some attacks outside of combat, please roll the dice in the same post as you take the action. I will then determine if your roll was necessary. Don't take the action and then wait for me to ask for your roll - that can bog things down, too.

4. Posting schedule. The pace of the game will be determined by the players. I'd prefer at least one post a day, but if a majority (4) of players can post more than that (and I can keep up), we will move at their pace. I don't want to leave any players behind, but if 2 of the six are holding us back, I may ask them to leave the game. Again, I'm not trying to be mean at all - I just don't want this game to die!

Any questions about the above items? None of them are set in stone, and I'm more than happy to negotiate or discuss any of them. Also, I hope these don't come across as restrictive or mean - particularly #4. I want us to have fun.

Hi hi! I (Iolana) am here! I'm sorry I've been MIA up to now--your decision happens to have fallen at a very bad, very busy time (I'm lucky I thought to check this; I had told the group I DM that yesterday and today would be bad, but totally blanked on this campaign since it wasn't yet in my campaigns tab). Tomorrow things should be smoother, and generally I'm a once-a-day poster; but a show I directed just opened earlier tonight, so things are crazy. I'll be back, with an alias and in full form, tomorrow night.

In the meantime, all those items look good, and I can't wait to start!

We're going to try a mix of abstracted and mapped out combat - I'm not adding grid numbers, so just do your best describing where you end up and I'll do my best to interpret it. The two round tokens are Janiven and Morosino (just in case that wasn't clear).

For future combats, will you all please add your initiative modifier to your stat block below your name (if you haven't already)?

It has only been 8 days. Sometimes I know I get bogged down, and I have had games where I couldn't post for a week. I'm fine with giving him a little more time. Though if he is delayed further, it would be nice for him to pop in and say so.
