Alright guys, SO-
I'm going to start getting busy again here soon, once this bronchitis takes a one way trip to "Go F*uck Yourself" land.
SO, here's what imma do-
Monday through Friday we are going to have "intensive" posting, really this means that I'm going to try and keep up with you guys as fast as I can, since I'm at a desk all day half my shifts and work from home the other half.
On *weekends* I'm going to get my head straight and take the notes I need to take on everything that happens, then open up shop again on Monday.
Sorry about that- don't hate the player, hate the game! xD

Hahaha, I'm flattered. The snorting of coffee is the highest compliment that one could possibly offer. :D
To be clear, Vasu definetly is still having troubles saying Sealith properly, and avoids calling creatures by a name or pronoun whenever possible. My own personal interpretation of the Syrinx society and language focuses very much on the collective instead of the individual. The word "I" is nonexistent in the language. One uses their name to refer to themselves. Others, however, will typically refer to a friend by their rank or social status compared to them. Vasu would address the high ranking of the clergy as "Pure One," and would address any ranking below her as "soldier," "commoner," or something of the like. Vasu would refer to a friend simply as "friend." Instances when one must differentiate between friends or commoners is rare at best, meaning that two syrinx could have the same best friend and never know it. If Vasu were to speak about a friend in conversation, she would probably just say "A friend of Vasu did blah blah blah." Individuals are not interesting in the society, but stories of those individuals are.
The whole point of this is that the syrinx would never call an outsider by their name, as they often don't even know the name of their leader. Outsiders are usually just called "outsiders." In the special case that Vasu is currently in, having to speak with outsiders constantly, she's almost making an effort to differentiate between "scaly lizard thing" and "demon spawn."
Vasu's trying really hard to memorize Sealith's name, and is most likely weirded out by everyone calling her Vasu instead of "scout."

ok the size or population of this city is wrong, a 3 hour was means at an average walking speed of 2mph its a 6 miles away. from where you are, a 6 hour walk to a bar from a hotel. thats 12 miles away, so where talking of a city thats is at lease 12 miles across. With a pollution density of a typical "village" 1 human family of 5 per 250x3" mile=5280' = 2,230 per mile. a twon dencity is x 4 city x 8 so 8x2,230x[12milesx12miles] = population range = 2,500,000 to 650,000 thats a big old city or its really really sparsely populated or its as 4 times the size of rome at its hayday.

woah woah woah, it's 3 miles per hour, 1 mile per 20 minutes
city is a day by a day across. Hours are sometimes crunched to make things easier for you guys, since it's downtime, not war time- just like how NONE of you have suffered fatigue from sleeping, moving, and walking about at odd hours.
24 hours x 3 = 72 miles by 72 miles in a perfect square, give or take.
your Inn is not on the farthest side of the North West Quadrant, and Logan's Flood is not on the farthest side of the North East Quadrant, closer to the middle than not.
Prison is *almost* smackdab in the mild and up of both the North East and North West Quadrants of 42.
It is a large and very populous city, being that it is essentially the *only* civilized city in all of Terra Nix in regards to humans, and has been around for hundreds of years already, through generations of Mothers.
It is, as you said-
A big old city.
