Vasu's Personality

Raised from birth to be a soldier of the cult known as the Order of the Immaculate Tyto, Vasu has never been capable of independent reasoning, reverting to an unquestioning state that allows her to do whatever she is told without raising any questions of morality within her. The cult is entirely made up of Syrinx, who share the universal Syrinx ideal of the species ruling over the entire earthen world, lording over all species incapable of flight.

While her head is stuffed full of the ideals of her racial superiority complex, however, her personality still can show through the indoctrination. Vasu generally gives the cold-shoulder to those who cannot fly, but occasionally makes the exception, and speaks in a soft, breathy voice when she does utter her language. She speaks perfect Syrinx, but having only learned from non-native speakers, speaks in broken non-racial languages.

She enjoys nature, and her hobby of hunting helped support her cult throughout her adolescent years. Birds are her preferred company, even over other Syrinx, as she slightly envies their simple, wild lives, and is comfortable in their nonjudgmental presence.

Vasu is a shy creature. Anger doesn't come naturally to her, but fear, cautious optimism, and sadness do. Her annoyance and mistrust around others are often misinterpreted as anger, but they in fact stem from her terror. Her happiness tends to hide in the dark corners of her mind, but she can feel elated for days after even a brief moment of joy overcomes her.
