Technically I believe this is more accurate. I think the main question is : Do you believe Damien threatens the second square from the left on the top row?

as for threatening, I say lets go with what makes for a great scene and not worry too much on exact technicalities.

At home I go fast and loose/cinematic/theater of the mind sometimes because I know who i'm playing with really well.
With a big pool of players online best to stay mostly RAW for now, so everyone knows what to expect. D got his AoO, took us moments to figure out.

Exactly! Since we're all here it didn't slow anything down to figure it out and I'm pretty sure that was one that was going to come up again.
I'm less concerned with what answer I get when I ask rules questions like that and more interested in simply setting a precedent we can work from in future.
Janna and Vhillish got the headers right despite my typo looks like. Good save.

Hey Damien, your AoO that hit was kosher but you can't attack adjacent creatures with that hammer can you? The creature is adjacent to you now.

But, with a readied action to attack as soon as it came within reach, I actually attacked before it became adjacent. Even before it provoked the AoO actually :)

Yep, hence I need the good sergeant to relocate before I can take my round 4 actions.
Even in this game, combat is a delicate dance. No one appreciates this more than Mr.Winters.

Adjacent to G5, yes. G4 and F5 are not however. Soft cover will most certainly apply but I'll take the -4 to hit over not being able to attack.
Short version : Reach weapons are tricky vs large opponents.
Of course this is just RAW, if you have any changes you'd like to make about how things work now is probably a great time. Frankly, I find some of the reach weapon rules odd/clumsy.
Oh I see, you can wack him on the butt from H6? I thought if any square he occupied was adjacent to you, reach weapons got shut down.
Soft cover is fair though. Little counter-intuitive to me but if that's how it works let's do it that way.

Yeah it gets kind of clunky but with large+ opponents you can designate which of the squares they occupy as the target of your attack.

Sorry for missing a few things. I feel like I'm constantly playing catch up and I've missed a few important posts. I'll try to read a little more carefully from now on!
I would say just don't rush. Even if you feel you are holding things up, it's unlikely anyone minds.
1 post a day is enough to keep the game alive and healthy, and when it exelerates in bursts beyond that there will be recaps to get you back in stride.
This is still a tense fight. I'm not sure if you guys have any way of dealing with ability damage? Leoven?
Anyone take the gnoll-priests bundle of herbs?

Ooh look Jerrid did...or at least he has them on his alias now! just for safekeeping of course.
