Ah, I see.

Sven and Desmond head back down into the mine to find the "ancient evil" and kill it or die trying.

You enter the tunnel, same as before, the same canary. It does not past much time until you find the flame again waiting for you.

So, you came, I shouldn't be surprised but is still unbelievable how unwise mortals are...I SHOULD! - He became orange/Red but then he calm down to blue again - Whatever, just follow the tunnel and meet your doom

"Thank you for your kind vote of confidence."

@ Seven, Desmond

THe flame doesn't seems to be in the mood of replying to Sven. You follow the tunnels and etc. The air becomes heavy, the cannary is having problems to breathe but it is still alive. Mirelle is scared as always.

I don't think this is a good idea boys -

Then you reach wider hall filled with stalagmites and stalactites, the floor is very rough (difficult terrain)

Suddenly something moves a little. You see four black creatures resembles a man-sized jellyfish with twelve long tentacles. They are there in the ground almost motionless, 20 ft ahead of you.

A fifth one is like the others but large and is 10 ft farther.

When they get touched by the light (I assuming you have light) they seems to be disturbed and move a little.

Say hello to the tome of horror and the advanced bestiary ;D

@ Vendrick

Yes, Tuskkeep is an ally, the relation is tense but with so many dangers in the vale we really need each other.

Before Mythakilis other halfling enter the room, a servant. -Excuseme sir.. - She approach Mythakilis and say something to his ear and then leave.

Talking about goblins, It seems we have a visit from an Emissary from Tuskkeep, I have to go, we should meet later, unless you want to come

It is a very unusual nasty predator called Belabra. It fly, its tentacles can grab it victims and impale them, and when they bleed their acidic blood sprays hurting and blind the attacker. They like to torture victim before eating them. Tales of Belabras hunting in the vale are not unheard every decade or so.

The bigger one is a more matured and unusual one, they have grown to developed some strange mental powers but you are not sure what powers. The fluff of the creature have been changed for the campaign

"I would be delighted to join you though I will likely keep my silence unless spoken to." El'druin replies as he sips from his glass.

@ Vendrick

That's ok - You accompany Mythakilis to the city's castle. In the way he told you that the current Marquiss is not in town, so Mythakilis is in charge for the tiem being, he dislike that.

You both enter the conference room and there are 2 goblins waiting for you. The fat one seems somewhat intrigued by your presence.

The fat one stands up and say with a deep voice (deep for a goblin I mean)

Greetings Lord Mythakilis, I present to you to Vilkas Fizzleblast who have a message from our king to the Marquiss, but since lord dragonheart is not available he will deliver it to you...but before, If I might ask, who is the noble lord elf that accompany us today?

The two goblins are well dressed in fine clothes. The one that spoke was the ambassador who live in tusskeep. he is somewhat fat and big for a goblin, the other one is smaller and thinner and use a cane made of bone.

Sage 7 HP: /51|50% Fortification| AC: 22(26 with Shield) Touch: 16 Flatfooted: 16 CMD 22| Fort +7, Ref +6, Will +7| Perception +11; Sense Motive +1; Low-Light Vision

"Vendrick El'druin, a colleague of Lord Mythakilis. A Pleasure." El'druin says before bowing. Then he takes a seat.

@ Desmond, Sven

Guys?

@ Vendrick

I'm Zeedald Pepperclamp, and The pleasure is Our lord Elf,. Now, mr Fizzleblast can you deliver the message? -

The ambassador sit down and the other goblin stand up and with a raspign voice eloquently say

For many years our clans have benefit from a mutual friendship. We help each other in time of war, we trade and we respect our independence. I have to say that for us at Tuskkeep is of the most interest to keep our relation as friendly as always. However, recently a couple of our knights were intercepted and threatened by one of your guards. They were chasing a criminal and were unable to capture her. So, in the name of the magnanimous name of our king Kayiqard Manyblades I'm here to demand you honorable people of Aldwall honour the agreements among our clans and give to us the criminal we are looking for

You can clearly see how Mythakilis and Zeedald are very surprised when Vilkas mention the name of the goblin king.

"Oh dear." El'druin says quietly to himself as he sips his drink and eyes the others for their response to the declaration.

Criminals fleeing into other lands are always a nasty nasty problem...

Male Human Monk 5 (Qinggong Master of Many Styles from the Sacred Mountain)/Fighter (Brawler) 3

Just wanted to make sure they weren't going to immediately murder us.

Are they intelligent? I.E. can we communicate with them, or would capitalizing on our element of sort-of-surprise not be out of the question?

They have some intelligence but nobody have been able to communicate with them, they always attack first. Not sure if I'm understanding the second part, it is too early my brain just begins to switch on

I was just asking "can I communicate with them" and if the answer was "no" or "it wouldn't be worthwhile" , I was just going to attack.

Also stop making things that I can't trip. =(

"Desmond, hit them hard and fast before they have time to react."

Sven moves in and strikes.
