She blushed and smiled. "I do believe you are getting the hang of this flirting thing," she teased as they started walking towards the wooded area near the edge of the school grounds.
"I was flirting? Perhaps I should start making note of when I do. Or is it just telling the truth?" Instead of taking in the beauty of the woods now surrounding them he instead watches Ori. "This place is quite beautiful. It suits you well."

She blushes again. "That was flirting too. Possibly flattery, unless sincerely meant."

"Excuse me, Ryuzo, but it seems that I need to go to the infirmary. One of the students in Ephebe's class need a psionic healer. I'll be back as soon as I can," she said apologetically before teleporting to the infirmary.

"Where is the patient? Er, the one you asked for help with? His name is Hew Ward."

A nurse walks over to Nala and bows slightly. "Yes he is over here in the bed. We believe that he has over exerted his psyonic power. Currently he is unconscious and is unresponsive. This young girl was with him in the sim rooms when it happened. I am unclear of the events but she should be able to give you a better interpretation of what happened." She motions to Zilla who is weeping while looking at Hew.

Salis thought about what she said for a moment. "You have a hard time thinking? I don't think I understand. I know what I am thinking though most of my thought are only of you and even if try to think of other things I have a difficult time pushing you out of mind. Perhaps it is something of that sort? This is all new to me and this is the first time I have found a subject invading all my other thoughts."

She stays there in his arms for a couple of minutes, holding him tight, reassuring herself that he was in fact still there. Eventually she does draw back a little.

"Okay, I didn't follow all of that too closely after the part you said you kind of died for a little while. I think you might need to repeat some of that. You went to the Abyss? And got some kind of demon mark there? That went away when you saw me? I'm a little confused here."

Ehos looks into her eyes briefly, and then... before continuing, gently slides her off his lap into the seat next to him. 'Sorry... it's a bit.. distracting to have you in my lap.'

'Okay, I'll slow down a bit. Um. I think there some dumb kids from Avalon which summoned a Marilith. I... wasn't really thinking and charged in... hence the wooden plank. But there was... others that came through from the Abyss, and took Phaeze there. I couldn't let them take him. So I chased afterwards... I didn't do any of the real work though - I didn't even have a weapon. Anyway... after it was done... we came back to the infirmary and... Phaezeriel said I had a mark. Some kind of demon mark. We were going to get some privacy when you saw me. Apparently when you ran away, the mark flared and disappeared. I couldn't see it though, so maybe Phaeze can explain it better.'

One thing Jaiye notices perhaps - something which Ehos himself has not noticed - his birth control charm, the infertility charm which keeps him effectively sterile is /gone/ from it's usual place.

Anahita bint Tariq wrote:

Anahita nods a few times and considers Vare for a few moments, a mixture of thoughts on her expressive face.

For the most part, though, she's completely ignoring the where or who is near the two while standing outside the observatory.

"What are we to do now? I am anxious -- yet, uncertain." She gives no reaction to the initial question and response just now, at least, not on this plane of existence.

Luckily, at least for the moment, Vare and Anahita are alone at the top of the tower which the observatory rests atop of.

Vare looks side to side with his head, then back to Anahita - as always with those eyes that never seem to fix properly on her. "Perhaps I should go shave and tend to... my hygiene. Given that there are no classes for me to teach today, I thought I might try to get some research done - using those datapad devices you mentioned... in addition. Rena has expressed a wish to attend Avalon as a student - a result of an evening spent last night - apparently he suggested as much. I am going to polymorph her into a humanoid form... it will be easier for her, we both believe."

Vare pauses and thinks further, his hand once again finding it's way to his somewhat scruffy chin. "Or... perhaps we can meet with Bradley, and the find someone willing to help us with his problems? That seems a more immediate task."

But I am confident that the best person currently available for the job is taking care of it."

Koizumi and Yuki both nod at this, but seem to be out of things to say - a stoic people no doubt, used to silence.

Kosuke though, Midori's brother, suddenly pipes up. "Blackscales-sama. Pardon my interruption. Is there a way I can send Midori letters while she is here? If she is staying a long time I am going to miss her." he says concisely before falling silent again.

"Maybe we should ask him if he wants to be brought back to life. He was a living person - not just some tool for us to find out what happened here. Avalon has the resources." Vai says, just a little sarcastically. She hadn't wanted to be so overt about it... but Keme had shown her that the best way to get people's attention was to defy their expectations.

She laughed, surprised by the sheer honesty of his words. His lack of pretensions was certainly a large part of his charm. She slid her arms around his neck, giving in to the temptation to play with his hair. It was such beautiful hair. "Yeah, that's what I mean," she admitted, blushing again when his hand against her back brushed up against bare skin since her top left her midriff bare. "I find you very distracting." She kissed him lightly on the lips, not completely able to avoid temptation, but still trying to be good.

"You will need to show me where this is. I haven't been yet." She gets up and picks up her bag. She takes Midori's hand as they leave. Once in the hallway. "Someone named Kitty likes animals too? Maybe she can teach me. Can you take me to her later, maybe?"

The dead tailor's corpse says nothing, since not asked a direct question. Ace's spell is running out of time.

I don't suppose you know who started these rumors do you? she asks with the thought of revenge on her mind.

I'm sorry, I'm not more helpful, I have always looked to music to make me feel better but that does not work for everyone.

after a few minutes and ensuring Hew is in good hands and out of danger, Lang goes to Pyra.

I was informed about a book, or several books, left in your family's care. they were the memoirs of Avatar Tehru. Do you know anything about them?

Considering various of his suggestions, Anahita says, "If you wish to be clean shaven, this is welcomed yet not demanded, Vare. As for hygiene, perhaps a quick bathing or cantrip to clean up with? There are some wonderful metal gears that make hot water pour from the wall's pipes, along with soap and other liquids that smell of good things in the restroom area of one's quarters. Have you tried these yet? A shower, I believe using plumbing."

Looking around, once again surveying the area since the view was different she asked, "What is it you wish to research? And how long would your spell allow Rena to remain humanoid? Perhaps just a size changing spell and a device to provide her with the equal manual dexterity of hands instead? So many choices. Who is this person she spoke with? His mere suggestion sounds very powerful. Does that excite you, to have Rena join as a student?"

Glancing up and across the roof, Anahita then says, "Visiting Bradley may be beneficial, but my opinion, while not infallible, is he requires assistance or study by someone who can see the relation he has to Fate or Luck, or perhaps mental abilities. I am of the thought his subconscious is key here. A bit stumped people appear not too concerned, though, the school's ability to stave off death is ..." She pauses for a moment in thought on this, "dangerously potent. It makes me dwell on it often. Too much power corrupts, as the saying goes."

Exhaling with a deep sigh she adds, "I should .. Rather, I must work on my aggression."

This results in a frown.

"I am thinking and speaking too much. Again. Odd."

The corpse cannot look at Ace, obviously, nor do much more than answer his question. When asked, the corpse says, "I have no memories of wishing to be dead, nor being dead. Living is my preference."

'Is that before or after you kissed her?' Ehos tries to joke again, but his heart isn't really in it - that much is obvious from his expression - especially given what he was about to say. 'Um. Since we're going "all cards on the table" here... Phaeze said I picked up a disease somewhere... um. I probably got it from her... it's cured now, according to Phaeze. But... I thought that was something you should know. I... I think we should hold off on sex for a while - and obviously not only because of that. I want to learn about you, not just your body.'

He sighs and looks down at the ground, defeated for the moment. He takes a deep breath. 'Alright. I'm going to do my best to learn and be better Jaiye. For my sake as well as yours. If there's anything I've learned today it's that I'm too gullible and easily manipulated... and it's not just me on the line when I make stupid choices.'

"I think that's a good idea, Ehos, for us to spend some time getting to know each other in other ways for now. I...I had this idea stuck in my head that you were too good for me, way out of my league. And now...well...I think I'm getting to know you better now, as yourself and not just my idea of you. I think...I think we're actually pretty well equal. And I think that's how it's supposed to be."

"It's hard learning that your choices matter, that your choices effect other people...I'm just starting to get that lesson myself. Courtesy of your mom actually. Do you know what I did this morning after I took your sister for an emergency pregnancy test, honestly she knows better, I really can't believe she got so caught up in the moment like that and she's really lucky that she didn't have to deal with consequences, and since when am I the responsible one around here?...uh, anyways...after that and breakfast I actually went and did my homework. Because it finally got through to me that I couldn't afford to pass up this opportunity to get an education."
"I think that in our own ways, we've both been doing a lot of growing up in the last couple days. And the more we help each other with that the better off we'll be."

The teenaged boy breaths a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Blackscales-sama. Midori is watashi no taisetsu hitori. Ah.... I mean, she's very important to me." he bows his head to her in thanks

"And I'm sure that you are very important to her too," she said with a smile.

"If you don't have any other questions, would you like to take a tour of the school before you go?"

"That would be my husband's family. He took the family record book, but if those books are still in the possession of the del Sols, then Sorchan's parents will have them. Which is a bit of a problem since he's not really on good terms with them after their role in the execution of the Fuerte family. I'll tell him to look for them. He's capable of putting his personal feelings aside for something this important."

She kissed him lightly on the lips, not completely able to avoid temptation, but still trying to be good.

When her lips touched his a surge of energy shot through him. He hadn't realized how much he wanted feel her lips embracing his. He looked into her eyes as the kiss ended. All his thoughts of anything else bled away as his thoughts filled with his desire for her. His body was starting to lose control to his desires. Slowly his hand slid up the small of her back. Where he pulled her closer so he could press his lips to here.

After a moment that seemed an eternity. He pulled away from her. "I'm sorry I should have asked permission."

Nala seems unable to make a connection to Hew's mind. Though she can feel his mind it seems weak and distant.
