Raelle shrugged. "I know my family isn't like that. But everyone had to be careful after Ignace's...accident. She still doesn't deal with fire well. And I can barely conjure up a spark. Chara likes to play with fire like that, but she only does it when she thinks no one is looking."
"We are quite probably the most messed up family of firebirds ever."
"And I, for one, wouldn't have you any other way."Vai finishes Raelle's thought with a smile."And it's not like my side of the family is normal, even for dragons. I don't need to go down the list do I? Would it make you feel better?"Vai says with a sly grin.
Raelle giggled. "No, that's okay. We're all just one big happy messed up family."
"It gets extra challenging sometimes with the other firebirds. But hopefully with classes starting they'll be busy with more important things than tormenting me."
Ignace took the flower gingerly and admired it, bringing it to her nose to smell it. It was a very beautiful flower. But why was he giving her a flower? Was this supposed to be a .... a courtship gesture? But she was too young for that. Wasn't she? She suddenly felt rather nervous. And what was she supposed to do with the flower now anyways?
"Thank you for the flower," she said solemnly. "It is very beautiful."
She looked at the pod with interest when he showed it to her.
When he introduced her to Sun she felt like she was finally back on familiar ground. Introductions she knew how to handle. She gave a polite curtsy.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Sun Wukong."
Sun was was wondering if he could join us there is room in the pod thingy but told him only if you said ok
"Maybe they actually like you a lot,"Vai whispered conspiratorially, "But they don't know how to deal with it, so they pester you instead. Boys get some thick-headed ideas sometimes."

Raelle nearly fell over laughing. "Oh, my gosh....that would just be priceless."
"And they'd never ever be able to admit to liking a smoke mage. It's just not done," she said, wiping away tears of laughter.
A tall, muscular man in dirty robes approaches the gates of the school.
"This must be the place. It doesn't look so much unlike a temple, although it is a bit fancy for my tastes. I must approach the master teacher" he said, proceeding further.
He circled the main building, taking in the sights while giving everything a wide berth. A lake, a garden, the place certainly wasn't an eyesore.
He entered the main building, looking for indications of where the master teacher would be. A set of arrows appeared in front of him.
Fortuitous, he thought, following the arrows.
he will either continue to the headmaster's office, or to the basement if the headmaster is already headed that way, or he will be intercepted by a teacher or something.
Vai couldn't help having a few giggles herself. The idea that the pompous Firebirds were head over heels was too much. She tries, somewhat unsuccessfully, to calm down and adopt a bad impression of one of them."Oh, Raelle,"she begins haughtily,"your smokiness is so strangely attractive. I cannot *snrk* contain myself!"This time Vai was the one to burst out laughing, barely able to finish the terrible impression.

Raelle had to stop walking and lean against a fencepost for support as she was laughing too hard to breathe let alone stand up.
::I think it needs just a touch more pompousness.:: ;P
Lang offers to help her to her seat in the pod then takes his own seat.
He shows her about the refreshments
Here is the drinks if you get thirsty and this pod is also loaded with snacks. he push some button and some popcorn comes out See, isn't this great?
He soon remembers what she just said about snacks
Oh, I'm sorry you don't like sweets Lang hads the popcorn to Sun. Looking disappointed at himself for not remembering what she just said.
before we go, are you afraid of heights or flying? I forgot to ask because I was going to have this pod hover over the audience for a balcony style seat to see and hear everything. I think Rosa may have given an option for others to be able to see us but I turned it off unless you want it on.
Ace looks unsure "I'm not sure what exactly a soul vampire is, but I am guessing that instead of feeding on blood, you feed on souls. Succubi don't actually feed on them, as far as I know. Hopefully I can find out more when I can devote some serious time to research. I'd do it tonight, but I want to help Tyrrin with her telescope, as I love looking at the stars. Did you know on Eberron we have twelve moons? Its really phenomenal, especially when you can see a few more than normal. I also want to find out if I can see our draconic constellations here. Its one of the things I miss the most from home. Hopefully I can make the concert too, as I don't know when Tyrrin wanted to meet. Will you continue to keep me company? Please?" He says with a smile.
The second blow knocks the shield out of Gavin's hands, and he lays there helpless but glares at the creature in defiance as the third blow lands and knocks him unconscious, a deep gash carved into his chest.
What happens next depends on the creature...would it continue it's attacks?
Ok then... As the fourth blow is about to land, it stops just short as four crossed luminescent greenish red swords appear out of no where and block the blow. Gavin stirs, and as he rises a form takes shape around his body, a large bipedal reptilian creature with four arms getting up from a kneel. The entire creature is the same greenish red, but slightly translucent, with an unconscious Gavin at it's core.
It's about 9 and ahalf feet tall, with a long sinuous tail, and what part of it's armor you can make out seem like very functional laminate.
It's eyes are simply pools of the deepest green with a slight glow to them, and they are fully focused on the cat in front of it. With it's swords crossed it attempts to push the creature back away as it attempts to stand...
Bull Rush attempt
1d20 + 36 ⇒ (16) + 36 = 52 CMB
It hisses as it's pushing the creature back"Thiss one iss under my protection...sstand down or face oblivion."
need to sign off hopefully we can continue tomorrow. if not lang will help but I am afraid that the pod will not take any more than us three. If the show starts before I can get back online then Lang will be going to the show.
I'm sorry Kiara Lang will try to help you if he can as long as you are not playing a trick on him. (possibly retcon the conversation)
this encounter with Ignace is REALLY important to Lang and he does not want to mess anything up
Ehos smiled with a twinkle in his eye. Anahita's wonder at even the smallest thing would cheer even the darkest mood wouldn't it? Ehos deposits his tray in the receptacle, and makes his way out of the cafeteria, touching a wall on the way out, thinking of the Professor Sunwake. The arrows light up, and the pair follow them through the school.
Anahita will follow along with Ehos, she hasn't appeared to have any reason to abandon or part his company before, she's proving that again. She does, however, follow suite and drop the trash off into the appropriate receptacles.
"So who is this Professor we are venturing to see? What subjects are taught by he or she?"
As they walk out of the cafeteria, she does venture to peek back at the kobold, with the same curiosity on her features. Something about him was definitely making her curious.
As you look on you see the trolls are running in 4 groups of 5
each with a mountain Troll leading a group. They seem to have some kind of uniform on, Helmets and Armor of green, they have long maces and what look to be shields on there backs. 2 of the groups seem to be carrying some large cylinder objects, when the get with in half a mile the peale off stop and start erecting the Cylinders. The other 2 groups pull off there shields and brandish there maces.
Behind you the temple bell rings and you see human monks run around putting shutters over doors and windows.
As you the trolls seem intent on the Temple as the get close the split left and right, looking to flank the defenders.
Unless you act ->
Then the two teams with Cylinders open up, there its a dull thud sound and a scream as some thing falls and behind you part of the temple wall explodes.
If you do act before then, well me what you wish to do.

at 45D to left and right of you is the two front groups some 700' from you in front is the two groups firing on the temple.
on of the leader trolls calls back to the fring one and you start taking incoming, The blasts are area affect and will harm the Fire Elementals on a hit. Area is some 60'

once you get to 250' away from the two front group they put up a wall a spell of some kind and start to fire with there clubs. Some kind of add gun thing. So magic missile volleys will be coming your way now your in range.
After dropping his fabrics off in his room Tybalt finds his way to the newly added concert hall. "Ooh big piano!" After a quick look around to make sure no one official was on the stage, Tybalt flashes onto the stage and begins to play the four chords most people would recognize as the baseline to Journey's Don't Stop Believing which are actually applicable to nearly every pop song ever. YouTube search Axis of Awesome The Four Chord Song.
Dave makes it in time to see Kiara scream for help, he lands right beside her. "Is there a problem miss" as she looks at him Dave looks down and hastily reapplies his illusion.

'Her name is Professor Aananda Sunwake. She used to teach the Physical Education class, but she currently manages the security of the school, and has many projects beside. She's also a dragon.' Ehos tries to write that last part as non-chalantly as possible.

"Of course I'm not afraid of flying," she said, a touch indignantly. "I'm a bird."
"Oh," she says, surprised and concerned when someone started yelling for help. "Yes, of course, go see what's wrong. That's much more important than the show!"
Ignace may be a bit of a priss, but she's got a surprising compassionate streak there as well. :)

"Well, alright, since you ask so nicely," she conceded, smiling. "But if you're not going to the concert I'm bailing on you, at least for a bit. I already promised the girls to meet them there."
"I think *gasp* I think I'm at my pompousness *wheeze* limit."Vai responded between breaths for air. Her sides were hurting from all the laughing.
Eventually they were both able to get a hold of themselves, although it was difficult since every time Raelle would stop laughing she'd look at Vai and start all over again and vice versa.
"Alright," she gasped. "We'd better get going. I don't want to miss that concert."

I might be back in time to catch the tail end of Fieri's concert, but if not tell her I said sorry, kay?."
he looks like a normal human with the illusion up right?
"They're after me," she said in a panicked voice, "The orcs and their vile cleric!"
normal winged aasimar, he has pure white angle wings and has a red-blond wavy hair, the illusion makes him not look like he's made of diamond and gold with gold wings, and the illusion also hides the glowing draconic eyes, the light scale pattern on his skin and the fact that his fingers are clawed, of course he only remembered due to you looking at him funny, if you didn't look at him funny then I'm almost certain Lang did.
Dave looks to where she came from perception check, with true seeing 1d20 + 38 ⇒ (15) + 38 = 53and gathers a ball of fire in his hand prepared action to firebolt "why, and where" ::Skeets, problem, conflict highly probable, come now, I'm here:: he then gives a telepathic pulse for him to home in on ::what's your ETA::
::I'm on my way, I just finished and was on rout to the concert, I'll be there in under 5 minutes, 2, maybe less if I hurry::
::hurry::
EDIT: also Dave has Scent so if that would be applied then add an additional +8 to that perception check and blind sight and blindsense, he has good senses, it's mostly the linnorm blood in him
Inside the magical world of Agartha is a school. A very special school for teaching gifted youngsters to control their abilities. Another school year has just begun and things are as always interesting, chaotic, and occasionally out of control...
Still trying to figure out an actual race for Marra but I'm here! I'm leaning a bit more towards my combined Warforged/Earth Elemental type being idea unless anyone has some other cool suggestion. and if taht does not work i'm cool with being an Oread. Otherwise I also need some help with a class I suppose since nothing really seems to fit the style I want with Marra.
Don't worry about them then. Make up a race. Forget class levels and make stuff up as you go along(Ryo was a Seer and a Cardcaster, neither of which had classes at the time, though Oracle could fit now. I'm still not going to stat him out yet!).

If you go for warforged be prepared to fend off tinkering attempts. ^.^
(Don't let that discourage you...more o a friendly heads up.) :D
As for the class thing....I ended up using a mish mash. I went with monk as the base cause that had most of the right feel, but pared off some monk abilities and added in the rock stuff as spell-like abilities. The spell transmute rock to mud and vice versa and the psionic powers involving telekinesis make a good base to give you some idea of what you could expect to be transforming/ tossing around at what level. I don't think per day limits are really fitting with the earthbender theme, so don't worry about that.

And yes, this. Don't sweat the details. It's important to give yourself limits, but don't get too hung up about it.

The reason I said Warforged was more because I intended her to be a sort of metal on the outside, rock on the inside type of creature and Warforged are the best thing I could think of that are sentient hehe people can TRY tinkering with her, they just best be prepared for a paunch to the face xD!
As for the class stuff that actually sounds pretty good, not exactly sure how far I'll be able to go with it at whatever level i'm allowed to be but if anything I'll probably be told no if I try something waaaaay out of my power league xD and just fix it(or perhaps fail spectacularly which could end up being far more fun hehe)
For Krays I was thinking I don;t even really need to take True Necro levels, as the "feel" is pretty well covered by the oracle mystery and the undead bloodline from sorceror. I'm still gonna choose some feats and spells from Libris Mortis...that stuff is full of flavorful win.

If you have access to the Advanced Bestiary from Green Ronin, you should check out the metal-clad template. You could apply that to an Oread and get what you're looking for with that possibly...
[EDIT:] Good News - someone over at the Pathfinder OGC site has actually converted the template. Check it out here for some possible inspiration. :)

Awesome :D I think I'll do as you mentioned and go Ionclad Oread but I'm just gonna call it a Ironbound which shall be her last name and race. ^_^
Nasima sort of ducks, chagrined, and immediately stops waving her hand and slowly pulls it back down to her side. She doesn't move anything except her eyes, which slowly scan back and forth to see if anyone spotted her faux pas. She gives a tight and embarrassed little smile as her cheeks flush.

Thunder can be heard in the distance.
The kobold glances towards the sound, and looks similarly abashed. He coughs. "Well, I suppose you're entitled to a little frivolity. Go on, wave and bounce as much as you like."
'Sima's eyes go wide at the sound of thunder, especially since it's a gloriously sunny day outside. Oh no, not now, not HIM, not on the first day!
"hnnnnn...haaaaaaaa...hnnnnn...hhhaaaaaa" The teen closes her eyes and tucks her legs up into lotus position and begins breathing deeply in an effort to regain calm. If that was just some weather-kid or something pranking his friends I am gonna be SO embarrassed...
ok...giving it more thought...
I'm thinking something more like a mix between a summoner a sorc and an oracle...
mystery and bloodline abilities from bone oracle and undead sorc, spells from both sources, and undead summon SLAs and a beefed up undead pet...
Kinda like a necromancer from EQ2...
is this over the top?
EDIT: How do we do gear?
If the story is we're gifted youngsters that are mechanicly teens level in power, it'd make sense to not have much gear...

"I find that the cafeteria is a better place to meditate. There's this one spot nobody sits in cause Jimmy rigged the ventilation system for a prank and now nobody can fix it...well, they made the stink go away, but it still blows cold air right there....anyways, that's where I go when I need some alone time. So, you know, if you..uh, need to use it sometimes...that's uh, okay with me," she finished, suddenly staring at her feet and wishing she could just stop talking.

Let's see...how do we do gear? Ummm.....mostly we make stuff up. Seriously if there's something you need for your character concept then you have it, within reason, use your good judgement. But don't worry about being tricked out. You are in a school after all. :)
As for over the top....that's what this game is for. :)
Give yourself reasonable limits, but cool factor always wins here.
Marra lets out a sigh as she opens her eyes to look at the others in the general area, she had been getting a bit of rest after working out earlier but the talking was far to frequent now for her to stay asleep. "Whats going on?" She asks as she pulls herself to her feet as she casts an annoyed look upon any in the area.
Nasima's eyes snap open. "Oh I wasn't...er..." well maybe i was meditating, good a word as any I guess that's a kind of 'deep thinking' or something i think right? "I don't wanna take your spot, I mean, that'ssuperniceofyou! Thank you! But...well if it's yours...uh...I'm Nasima by the way." Not knowing what else to do, and feeling completely stupid the whole while, 'Sima extends her hand. Shadows move on her chestnut skin like clouds over mountains, part of why she always wears sneakers, socks, pants, long-sleeve mock turtlenecks with arm warmers underneath to help cover her hands, and has her cloud-white hair in her face. Unfortunately her lineage means that various winds are constantly blowing her hair all over the place, but she can mostly keep it in her face if she concentrates.
"I'm from the Air plane." She winces. oh and that didn't sound moronic at all "I mean, not AN airplane, but the Plane of Air. Sort of an intersection of it really, but, uh, but where are you from?"
It's a common occurrence, entering an IC conversation while on the Discussion Thread. I personally don't see it as a problem, since it gives people eager to roleplay a chance to do so, without pressuring others to finish quickly.
Vakkler watches the exchange from a distance. "I aught to demand a raise..." he mutters.

It's not that. Ephebe's difficulty making friend is a bit of a plot point. Realized I needed to save this bit for the start of the game.:)

Vakkler, we have a request from someone wishing to play a janitor. You okay with going more the gamekeeper/teacher route? Don't want to step on your toes with concept. I gave a tentative okay, but I can try to steer things another direction if you object.

That's fine. I actually preferred Vakkler be a gamekeeper than a janitor.

Cool. I just wanted to make sure. Then I will tell the other potential new person that their concept is solid. :)
And that, sister dear, is where you would be wrong! The succubus I got rid of was not a student! I was simply stating that Uncle seems to just let all kinds of megalomaniacs into the school!
I know, ironic as it may be, that it is not that boring here!
Yes, Tare, but I didn't say she was a student. I was simply commenting on the fact that over the years I think one or the other of us has picked a fight with practically everything at one time or another. And admit it, you love how not boring it is here. :)
A grey-robed kobold walks in, looking down at his papers...he is followed by a slightly larger individual, wearing a hooded cloak, packed to the hilt like a mule. He mumbles to himself with a confused look on his face...then notices others around him. He strightens up a bit, clears his throat, then...
Draconic Umm...excuse me. Does anyone know where the dorms are?
