"Oh, yeah, my hoverbike is a.... Romulus starts to talk excitedly, but stops awkwardly as Carl walks away, feeling self conscious, from the unhelpfulness of the overseer, and pops open the seat of his vehicle.
Inside of the storage compartment is a wide assortment of different pieces of machinery, gears, pistons, compressors, filters, belts, wheels, cogs, nuts, bolts... all sorts of random junk. Taking hold of a softball sized orb of brass, Romulus cranks a small handle, and a faint whirring comes from inside of it, after being wound, has the top half click open and bounce upwards, revealing a large amount of clockwork and a helicopter-esque set of rotors to sprout from the top. Floating jauntily just above Romulus' standout hairdo it awaits instruction.
As Carl comes back Romulus quickly tries to ask him a question, IheardthatthereisanindustryherethatbuildscomplexmachineryandneedsemployeesI wanttoapplyforajobatonebutIdontknowwhereanyareatIwassentherebymyteacher, Thorg ,becauseheknewawomanwhoworkedforhimonceandhesaidIhadtalentlikeshedidbutIcan 'trememberwhathernamewas!
Carl probably gets the feelings that Romulus is both extremely nervous, excited, and that he only stopped the sentences there because he ran out of breath...
And If you can understand anything but "Thorg" you have freakin superpowers :D

Carl stops and looks at Romulus as he gushes out words like bullets.
When he's done Carl slowly takes his unlit cigar out of his mouth, looks over the things in the bike over then smiles and says.
"I din-nee got a word of that Laddy. How about ye say all again, but this time try breath-in between ya worlds."
Behind Carl the townsfolk are are carrying the box's into he building.

"I'm looking for a job in this town." he says, fast, but actually comprehendable, "I need to find a factory. I was sent here from Lemuria."
You can almost see him mentally aligning every word and sentence before he says them aloud.
Romulus can't seem to hold still, as if he is filled with enough energy to power a dozen people... he has produced a bunch of wires and gears, and is currently fiddling with them, not really making anything, but just twisting the wire, or weaving it through the gears, and making a little crank to turn them. He seems to crackle with excitement, but seems uncomfortable with talking...
Carl Ironfist Prometheus.
"Well Laddy I have some good news and some bad news, the good news is the factory's are that way"
He points,
"and they are always looking for them with smarts like you seems to be, ya have to talk to Jiminy Sunwake. Hes the lad that runs em."
He puts his hands down
"Bad news is right now, no ones there, they came here to help. See a few hours ago this place was hell on earth. Real bad, some cutter had but a hex on the place and every one local went demon. Lot hurt and a few died."
He looks looks around
"I tell ya what laddy, I could really use ya help for a wile. Things to bring and stuff to fix here, all really urgent. How about ya give me a hand for a wile and after Ill take ya to the factory's. What ya say?"

C60, Go to the factory and wait for a "Jiminy Sunwake"
*Whirrrrrrrr....Clickk Hissss* the helicopter creation's complex system of gears and blades, rotors and pistons propels the device seems to go into overdrive as it takes off at high speed to find the factory, and hopefully the one known as 'Jiminy Sunwake'
I don't know how to help... he says quietly... but you could tell me? he says hopefully

He Smiles,
"Handy thing that. Right then, well see laddy the main hospital here in town was damaged in the chaos. So the warehouse behind me is being made into a temporary one. Now I have on me ship carats of old medical stuff. Me and Arthur picked it up as part payment in a deal. Scarp I thought, but I think I have enough parts in them crates to make three full auto medical bays. Their magic is depleted so we need to find power, and some parts are broken. I need you to have a look at the parts in the crates, build the bays if you can. I have a full tool shop on the Hammershift, take what ever ya need, then once we have a pay made ill teleport it here for the medics. What ya say"

Carl looks over you and your bike, then brings up his arm, on it is one of his arm bands. they look odd, hard to read what kind of devices they are. He taps it a few times.
"Its..."
There is a shifting feeling then, the town is gone and your in the hold of a ship. Well hold is a nice way to put it. Who ever designed this hold had a think for military type Bunkers. The walls are massively solid. All plating, rivets and ships systems, back up ships systems, back ups to the back up and then some more back ups just in case. There is mining kit on racks, and Can of rock. This is a work space. The only odd thing is a half eaten cake off to one side and what looks to be used party hats and streamer. Carl points to a door,
"That's the tool shop in there. and that door."
He points to another door the a a pile of boxs in the bay area.
"Power room over there, and that rack there has the Medical stuff on it"
12 boxs with a medical symbol on them sit there.
"Ill ya have a look ill got get us a drink and eat, ya like coffee?"
He heads up some steps, a sign above says flight deck, then he stops and looks round.
"buy the way never got ya name laddy. Me names Carl Ironfist of from the Prometheus clan, nice ta meet ya."

"Ohmygodthisplaceisamazingan...oh I don't feel good" Romulus proceeds to throw up on the floor
What is this place, How did we get here? he asks curiously after retching all over the floor
He doesn't seem too offput by the fact he just threw up or is in a new place, but he looks to be extremely curious.
Romulus wanders over to the medical crates and looks into the power room, and into the tool shop. Face lighting up like a dwarven child with a pint of lager and a plate of hardy potatoes
Carl Ironfist Prometheus.
"Sorry Laddy, some find teleporting upsets their insides some"
Carl dos not seem to mind about the sick, he comes back down and picking up a shovel, scoops up some sand from a can and covers it up.
"This is the hold of the Hammer-shaft me Space-mining scout ship. It's parked just outside of town at the fire-birds temporary camp site. She's here cus I help with moving the fire-birds move form where they used to live."
He go's over and hits a big red nob. A ramp starts to open down from the hold, you can see grass and light below, clean air blows in taking away the smell of sick.
"I best just get a drink, milk tea I think, settle them guts a yours"
He heads up the steps again.

"Romulus" he says distractedly as he opens the boxes and crates of medical supplies, confused by the complexities of the machines within. The high level of technology is far too complex, with its electronic powered equipment, and motherboard driven command systems...
looking in the tool room, he takes only the simplest of tools, like wrenches, spanners, cutters, hammers, pliers and other similar things. He begins to take spare metals and create gears and pistons so that he can do things the way that makes sense to his specialized form of crafting.
In the power room Romulus looks confusedly at the generator, which just sits there... no moving gears or anything....

Kaetar snatches a strange looking Harrow deck from Iolth's pocket. If one examines it, you can see that all of the cards are twisted, somehow, distorted into a dark reflection.
The azata's mouth goes wide as you schism your mind, but makes no comment.
** spoiler omitted **...
Phaezeriel watches the scene for a time, then his primary mind begins examining the strange bonding between Iolth and the Horseman to see if there are any foci of the mingled aura.
His secondary mind resurfaces and his head turns to look at a point on the wall. Kaetar may notice that it is in the direction of the room he had been in before.

As you delve deeper into Iolth's psyche, you begin to see a sort of psychic parasitism between Szuriel and Iolth. When Iolth overcharges, the Seed feeds off of the destructive energy generated by the blast, getting it more powerful. However, it overdraws the energy, draining Iolth from his wellspring of psychic power, leaving him unable to refine his psychic talent.
As you walk through Iolth's mind, however, you can feel a great eye observing you. You get one though: ::PUNY.:: before a massive wave of psionic energy rocks the chamber...

Carl comes on with mugs of tea,
"here ya go..Romulus. Drink that it will make ya feel better"
The tea is as strong as gravy and very sweet.
"Main power core is an elemental reactor, linked to a number of elemental planes. "so what ya think, any thing of use in them medical box's?

yeah Mel is definitely not in the room, she only just arrived at the infirmary, I thought most of the infirmary was blasted
Mel was still scanning when the orderly questions her.
quickly putting the scanner away, ahhh yeah, I started picking up some strange energy readings, they seemed to have some sort of Temporal energy signature. They seemed a bit similar to what I found during.... cutting herself short, not wanting to stir up bad memories, Mel quickly changes the subject, How's Vai?

ahhh, yes, well, sort of, well, not quite, but similar, she seems hesitant on her answer, not entirely out of lack of understanding but more about not sure about who she is talking to.

Cultist City Assualt
Jeran shifted into his wolf form and paced back and forth.
::He's saying that he's taken Tryko'Sam? I know we can't trust him, but should we believe him?:: he asked Casseus.
Jeran gets the mental equivalent of a shrug, but the level of possible concern for 'Sam would probably surprise him.
"Well, I'm known as Casseus Rex. I'm not giving you my real name. You can tell by looking at me that I'm a prince, that will have to do.
Who is it that you claim to have taken?"
A chuckle is heard, through the thoughts, at the comment of, 'that will have to do.'
As for the question posed to the entity, the response is, "To be clear, even I am unsure, and I am as old as Reality, spawned at the moment of existence and moved by the trumpet heralding its inevitable death. I trust this clarifies my position with regards to your title-- but, I am ever gracious, if there are relations, your Highness. We cannot exist without some rules, yes?"
After a moment it continues, "But, that was vague, and unclear, with regards to who I possess. The humanoid, dark hair, green eyes, unable to be unravelled. He calls himself Tryko'Sam, but, I know that is not his True Name. In time, I could learn it. Quite the painful quandary, really. If I did not have other pressing matters and interests, I might even just keep him and call it a day. Do you fancy him? I fancy the Chosen One, so the offer is presented once more. We can go old school, a being for a being. What say you? Get me the girl, and in return, I will return the one who started all this to you. Your role in all this, Prince Casseus, forgotten. You don't care about goodness, nor evil, it would appear Prince Casseus. Are you going to take a stand today? Choose one side or the other, or are you just in this for shits and giggles? I can respect that."
The swirling meld of Abyssal and current plane doesn't seem to be growing any more, but it would be clear to whoever is sensitive to such, that this reality is holding off further warping, for now, from the Gate.
"Oh, did you want the door shut? The souls of those you slew fed it's being kept open. Here, allow me. A gesture of good faith."
With that, the last Gate swirls and shuts as a iris closing would. The room seems to shudder, even though an inanimate thing, in relief. Dust falling in the aftermath of extra planar energies and winds stopping their foul caresses.

Romulus has created a boiler of some sort, and is currently filling it with water, his creation is starting to take shape as well.
the creation is apparently a torso-like piece of metal with a lot of tubing attached to it. Another segment has taken the reorienting mechanical servo arms of a large bed-like creation and attached them to a lot of cabling.
No, I'm not going to destroy your ship, I'm just saying that Romulus' creation skills are marvelous, but he doesn't seem to understand that most of what he has disassembled was in mostly working order.

Verris is still on call.
He's taking, what could be seen as a short break in the medical Admin office. This being him sitting on a rolling chair backwards and leaning on the back rest.
He's shocked out of 'resting his eyes' by the lights and sirens of an emergency in one of the single patient emergency wards, falling out of his chair.
"Ah!"
He stands quickly, looking at the call board for the report, reading it quickly under his breath.
"Biohazard, no, initial problem catatonic, emergency psychic outlash, doctor Phaezeriel, patient grimspawn, that's new, nurse- no. Gods no."
Chanting a mantra of "no, no, no...," he bolts from the office on his long legs, coat trailing behind him.
He grabs some thing from a drawer and cabinet, leaving them open and hanging, in disarray.
He gets to the locked door and almost stabs the scanner with his name tag.
He yanks the door open and rushes in and in as much time as it takes to cross the room, assess the situation. Julie is not breathing. Psychic shock gone too far. Buzz in the air means it started with the unconscious patient. Phaezeriel is there, solidifying the assessment. Both him and the other woman are still breathing.
He approaches Julie, going to his knees.
A flashlight checks her irises for response.
He turns around the flashlight, a tool of his own creation, no one else can figure out how to use. Too many accidentally injected themselves with various things trying to unclick the ink pen, or engaged the scalpel instead of the flashlight. But, he knows how to use it.
"OK, psychic shock, human, needs... DHA on 12, miniscule kick of adrenaline, positive energy 11 CC's, and that 14 CC's, with just one drop of that to make sure it's not rejected. Administer to... Jugular vein for immediate affect."
He gently as he can, cradles her head and tilts it away from him. He holds the tool next to her neck and a gentle discharging sound occurs. He removes the tool and ejects the head into a corner of the room. He twists it around and holds it up to her temple. A few seconds go by as he holds his breath, and he can see the very faint beginnings of brainwaves coming back.
He lets go of his breath as he looks around the room.
This is why he's first or second in line to succeed the deceased head of the infirmary.

he then runs to the teleporter.
"Look I has to go back to town and helps out for a wile. Ill be back soon as I can"
And with a press on his arm hes gone.
Romulus Wright
Hello, HRMS X, I'm Romulus, and I'm currently needing a little assistance in the movement of this boiler, I need to attach it to the right side of the torso... he says cheerfully as he clambers out from underneath the elemental reactor
the mass of metals in front of you is screaming impossibility and insanity. Thousands of dollars worth of technology has been disassembled for... An antique!
the tall creation's torso is as tall as the boy creating the clockwork and steam engine humanoid form
Vickory West
Vickory finally speaks from somewhere, "Honestly I just came because there was going to be a fight. But Tryko decided to risk his life in exchange for another's, that should be honored. I'm fine with calling it a day and leave it at that. Not that I particularly want to, but one can't always get everything they want."
Casseus Rex
"I really can't argue with that logic."
To the disembodied voice
"When did you nab him, out of curiosity?"
Melody Waverider
Given the directions, even though Mel knows the way, she heads in that direction but once the orderly isn't looking she starts to scan again and tries to slip off toward the source of the energy.
eventually she finds her way to the door where the energy source is. (she does not go in) rather she tries to peer in the room to see who or what is inside.
Nurse Julie
Julie is alive, but barely, she will need time to recover, now the nurse has become the patient.
Iolth Taknith
Mel sees a cambion convulsing with crackling red energy, a mostly-dead nurse, a blue-and-silver too-large quasit hovering over the cambion, and a wrecked room.
Phaezeriel
Mel sees a cambion convulsing with crackling red energy, a mostly-dead nurse, a blue-and-silver too-large quasit hovering? over the cambion, and a wrecked room.
Emphasis mine.
Again? Phaezeriel is in no way positioned with his feet not planted firmly on the ground. Not once in the infirmary scene have I described his movement as flying, hovering, flitting, swooping, or any other word that could mean flight. He has moved, led the way, staggered, and lowered the bed to more easily reach his patient. Do not worry, I will most assuredly describe his movement mode should it change.
Further, re-read the description of Ultrablast. As I stated at least once in the discussion thread, it specifically targets and damages the brains of enemies. The room, therefore, is perfectly fine; as is the entire infirmary.
Also, is Kaetar hurt?
Phaezeriel looks at Nurse Velis crouched beside Nurse Julie, ::Well done, Velis, please bring Nurse Julie outside the Null Psi field. Kaetar, if you are hurt you should step outside it as well. I cannot restore your health while we remain inside it.::
Phaezeriel walks over to the door and opens it to see Melody standing at the door. ::Melody? Can I help you?:: He seems to have not noticed the silver liquid that has made tracks down his face from eyes and nose.
Is the Wearer still there, or did he materialize briefly inside the room, or what?
Melody Waverider
Mel nearly falls over when Phaeze comes out. quickly putting away her sonic device. and taking a step back.
Oh, sorry, i, ahhh, I started to pick up on some strange temporal energy readings. I was tracking them to the source. I was worried that something was wrong with Vai, since the readings were not too much different than during the attack. I thought, maybe...I'm sorry. Is there anything I can do to help?
also if there is any visible energy, then Knowledge (xxx) to identify it. she can take 10 on knowledge checks, so that's a 50 if its a standard knowledge area, and a 31 for knowledge in everything else)
Phaezeriel
Phaezeriel nods, ::There is some time-related magic at play, and perhaps you can help. How much do you know about Chronomancy?:: As his thoughts are being sent, he walks a short distance down the hallway and beeckons to Nurse Velis to bring Nurse Julie to him.

Vickory finally speaks from somewhere, "Honestly I just came because there was going to be a fight. But Tryko decided to risk his life in exchange for another's, that should be honored. I'm fine with calling it a day and leave it at that. Not that I particularly want to, but one can't always get everything they want."
The voice chuckles in everyone's head, as it says, "Oh, you are, are you? Well... by all means, call it a day."
"I really can't argue with that logic."
To the disembodied voice
"When did you nab him, out of curiosity?"
"It's a pity that you, Prince, don't appear to be taking me seriously, or respectfully, even after I show you similar. Very well, I shall return the favor. It appears none of you truly are going to act on the offer I presented. Surprising, knowing full well that when I speak, it is understood-- unless you are insane. Leave the grounds you tread upon, or innocents will pay for your continued intrusion with each passage of time you remain. My offers and good graces cease, as does this parley."
With that, the room stays quiet for a few. The presence of Abyssal energies lingering, still, though it's obvious that will eventually fade without the open Gate now.
Casseus Rex
"Asking for more information is not disrespect. I have not called you names, and I'm listening. I am taking your deal into consideration. I'm trying to discern at what point you took 'Sam into your custody, is all.
And while we're being honest, I don't have custody of the girl. She is not mine to trade."

And while we're being honest, I don't have custody of the girl. She is not mine to trade."
There's the sense of a presence again, and the voice says once more in their minds, "So, the parley continues. Patience, at times, is not a virtue I embody, however timeless I am." There's a chuckle.
"I didn't think your capacity for slaughter was an indicator of whether or not you were interested in rules, Prince. The fact you did so well, made me think you were a perfect fighting power to get the Chosen One back. Intelligence would be a bonus, I suppose. I do not care if she is yours or not, I want her returned, /immediately/. So I care little for whether you wish or do not wish to return her, the question remains-- will you fetch her? In return, the humanoid, who I had captured moments after your assault started, is yours to do with as you wish. Quite simple terms, really. One being for another. Or leave."
Casseus Rex
"Understood. So as I understand things...you've entered into a sort of bet with those powers on the opposite side of the fence as you to see who could claim this girl first. 'Sam came by and took her before she could be delivered, and threw your plans into...chaos. So, you are now using this person as a bartering tool with us to get this girl, on the condition that you will release 'Sam once we've done so. Is this correct?"
he pauses
"Just so we're clear, you don't care about the rest of the cultists here, you just want the girl?"
