I'm not quite sure yet. On the one wing it would be interesting if they were half-siblings. But on the other wing it might be nice to introduce a character that doesn't know the Sunwakes in some way.
Of course, I'm also toying around with the idea of him being a Champion with the means to hide the fact he is a Champion.
Well, if it helps, even if they were half-siblings they wouldn't know each other. Fieri's parents have refused to be in the same room together after their wedding night. She's only ever seen her father from a distance and doesn't really know him at all. So he could easily have another family that she knew nothing about. But I understand why you might want him to be less connected to the Sunwakes. If you want him to be a champion, Light is still available. I was toying with the idea of having Embre be Light, but I'm not committed to it. He might be better off as a pawn of Madness. *shrug* Or you could have some other idea in mind.

Or you could have some other idea in mind.
When I said he might have a way to hide the fact he is a Chamipon, I did not mean I was going to blind them! ;P
Also, even if they were related, you are acting like there is a chance he wouldn't know or have a way too learn about it. I'm all devious like that. ;)

I said she wouldn't know silly. Fieri would be totally blindsided. :)
If her father did have another family, chances are they would be perfectly well aware of his marriage and the existence of a daughter. But it would be odd if Fieri knew about the existence of her father's secret family.

I have a question what are champions? Well other than they have cool powers and represent something?
The idea is that there are concepts, like Death, Time, Love, etc. And these are where the gods draw their powers from. But there is often an imbalance of power between them. But because the gods keep playing for power themselves they aren't reliable as means of keeping balance. So each concept chooses a mortal Champion (mortal technically, they always choose very long lived races, lifespan measured in centuries) to represent their interests and keep balance. Champions get special abilities based on their concept as well as some universal special abilities like being able to recognize other champions on sight and flawless travel to anywhere that their concept exists no matter what kind of wards or whatever there are (no passengers). They also get a lot of responsibility to go with that power. Currently the Champion of Madness has been on a killing spree so there are a lot of new Champions turning up.
Time = Ephebe
Death = Krays
Song = Gaelvin
Darkness = Asch
Love = Amada
Creation = Solivala
Deception = Ryuzo
Hope = Keme
Dreams = [redacted]
Fear = that derro whose name I haven't memorized yet
Courage = Fei
Light = not assigned yet
Madness = Big Bad

Krays |

Already got me once :(

Well, now that I've done my homework, I feel a bit bad about having Fear affect reality. It was only a bit of nervousness, but it's still the largest direct intervention any patron has made so far. I'll be a bit more careful.
With that in mind, can an Champion conceal things from their patron?

My character was just reincarnated as a quickling. I am now as fast as Ephebe. I heard "Your base speed is 120ft." and immediately thought "Spring Attack".
My character has grown progressively more fey with each reincarnation. Azlaanti human to gnome to quickling. My party is starting to get worried.

It wasn't too bad, but yeah, the idea is that they don't act directly. That's what the Champions are for. (Although I was getting the impression that Fear might be on the other side in which case he'd be about as unconcerned with things like balance as Madness is.)
And I don't think that a Champion can conceal things from their own patron, no. It's a pretty close relationship.

lol. This is awesome. They should have a race sometime. ;P
I had a character that I played from 1st to 20th that got more fey and less human with each level, so at 20th she became completely fey. Playing a fey champion of chaos is FUN! :D

lynora |

Which book is that class from?
And the Dream Champion would win the race anyway.
The book of I totally made this up and will the DM please, pretty please approve this. :)
She had different features that showed up as her humanity drained away. Her eyes changed at tenth level, and her hair at 13th started changing color based on her mood, and at sixteenth level she got butterfly wings. But she was also a fey-based warlock so it totally fit flavorwise.

(Although I was getting the impression that Fear might be on the other side in which case he'd be about as unconcerned with things like balance as Madness is.)
That's great. Here I was, not sure if that was an option. But Fear isn't the type to ally with the others. He doesn't trust any of them and believes them all to be enemies. I don't see him working with Madness--Madness is the most dangerous of them all--so I think it likely he's working against everybody. He's determined to take power, so as to avoid destruction.
That being said, he still shouldn't be interfering all direct-like, so I'll be more careful there.
Now to decide between two potential evil schemes for him...
...and thanks to this medium, I decided while I reviewed this post for typos. I'm laughing all deranged right now, really freaking out the neighbors.

C'mon, I'm being nice here! :P

Headmaster Ryo |

I think it's time for Ryo to get a secretary already.
Of course, since his one duty seems to be humoring the newcomers, maybe a secretary would threaten his job security. ;D
You, sir, obviously do not know just what I have to do to keep this school up and running during all the frakkin' chaos my students and/or family cause.

[Raises hand tentatively]
Fei doesn't have Spring Attack, but his base speed is 120 feet as well, if that helps (well, at least until his next level-up...)
Though I'm not sure what the heck we're talking about, to be completely honest here.... (=^.^=)
Aaaaaaaaaaand Happy Tuesday everybody (*.*)

Speaking of purging, that prune juice you put in my bottle sure did a number on me, so you have to clean me up, or not, and I'll just prop myself up on that nice leather sofa of yours. Glad you went for the real leather and not that fake stuff, 'cause it's a whole lot softer, though it my chubby little legs get stuck on it sometimes, and it hurts a bit when I pull them free, but what's a little pain every now and then? Which is just what I was telling my new puppy, but she didn't want to seem like she agreed, 'cause she ran away, at least for a little while, 'cause she really couldn't get too far, and all the yelping in the Agartha isn't going to unlock a door, I mean really, do puppies have any brains at all? Well, of course they do, and I have some still from my last puppy if you want to take a look, but I have to warn you, they don't really taste like candy, so you better not believe that smelly old kobold, 'cause he lies, other than that he's kinda fun 'cause he has these little knives that he likes to hide, and knives are handy for cutting...birthday cake! Yeah, birthday cake, even if it is a few days old. Do we sing now?
