Nathaniel nods curtly and takes off, circling the globe at a distance of 200ft.


It's only about 40 foot across. It's dark, but those of you with darkvision think you could make out what's inside if you were close enough.

Nathaniel Spellcraft 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19 Looks like a common darkness spell to you. Also, you realize at a distance of 200 feet you're taking -20 distance penalties to perception right? On top of the fact that you can't even see inside it from that far away, and that the rest of the party is only 70 feet away. It doesn't matter anyway, because...

Nathaniel begins to fly out to make a wide circle around the the darkness. He gets about a hundred feet from the group before a piercing screech fills the air and a large black and red form plummets down into him like a cruise missle.

Viorel you have no idea what it is. Rosa recognizes it as a Karadoon. Which is a half griffon-half fiend. It's resistant to magic, cold, fire, electricty, and acid. Only magical weapons can harm them easily.

It's 55' feet up, as stated on the map. You have no way of knowing if it's summoned Rosa, but since they are native outsiders it's highly unlikely.

Viorel thinks for a moment should he enhance his own defenses since this beast can fly or try to hurt it. He opts for the latter and unleashes the familiar four magical darts towards the beast, altough this time he modifies the spell overcharging it with power hoping it will hasten their victory.

Empowered Magic missile. Might as well use those 3rd spell slots once in a while.

Nathaniel - I didn't realize you had mage armor up. Your flat-footed AC (you haven't acted yet) should be 27 (11 NA, 4 armor, 2 shield) and your normal AC should be 29 (11 NA, 2 dex, 4 armor, 2 shield). Your sheet says you have +23 NA, I don't know why I didn't notice that until just now, but your AC has been wrong this entire game ~_~. Without mage armor your ac is 25. So the last attack didn't hit you, but the first two still did. If you have buffs up please list them in your combat post or on your sheet, otherwise I will forget them.

Rosa, you can do that this time. Next time if you don't put it up in your first post (or before I update) it won't happen.

Yes Rosa did say it was resistant to magic, don't have lot of choice. I do not carry magical weapons and I could not even hit that thing from this distance. I better just hope they can bring it down. As the thoughts ran trough his head he snatches alchemist fire in to his hand wanting to make sure that if he got the chance it would count. After he started to cast his spell and soon there were six more of him, of coarse they were illusions. That should free the others for offensive purposes.
