I may be able to aid with those Spellcraft checks as well! Here's some Aid Another for you:
Scimitar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Sepia Scroll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Cream Scroll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Stick: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Clock piece: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Ehh. But then again, you rolled really well on those checks anyway, so...

Between the party's combined scouring, they managed to ascertain the coffer's contents!
Wand of Lesser Restoration (17 charges left)
One Scroll of Blessing of Fervor
One scroll of Consecrate
2 Masterwork Mithril daggers
This gold-plated watch is divided
into five pieces. The weirding watch
keeps flawless time without ever
needing to be wound or repaired. In
addition, the bearer of any piece of
the watch can activate it to exercise
power over time for herself and her
allies. Once a watch piece is activated, the bearer gains the
benefits of haste and lesser age resistance for 3 rounds.
Anyone bearing a piece from the same weirding watch within
30 feet receives the same effect. Each piece of the watch
can be activated once per day. The price of a weirding watch
includes all five pieces. Pieces are rarely sold separately.
+1 Holy Scimitar
EVERYONE LOOK UNDER YOUR SEATS! EVERYONE GETS AN SUV, WOOO!!!!
Pipernortin
Pipernortin reiterates his earlier sentiment. "Ooh." He picks up one of daggers and assumes the posture of a warrior far more skilled than himself. "These are neat. But they're not really my style. Who wants cool stuff? And what do we do with that daemon we tied up? We need to handle that before it gets... well, angry."
This SUV's too big, I can't reach the pedals!
Zinthar Kanedrel
The wizard pauses for a moment, recalling what he knows about vulnadaemons. "Vulnas are known for deception and betrayal. Even if we do get something from it, I am not sure how much of it we could actually trust."
Zinthar glances over to look at the discarded parchment that was once his most powerful scroll. "And seeing how hard they were to subdue I am not sure we want to let it wake up."
Galoria Ginodesa
"That said, Stephen did wish to try his hand at interrogating the creature... Alas. We should keep close by in any case, and destroy the beast should it try anything."
"If we're going to make this kind of thing a habit, perhaps I should try my hand at the sword? It's been a while, but we seem to attract resilient game."
Stephen Rogerson
|
"My best interrogations are usually done mid-combat, then I don't feel guilty since I'm gonna, you know, kill them anyways." Stephen shrugs and swings the scimitar around. "I have no idea how to use this... It is beautiful, it should go to the most beautiful member of our party. Can this help our priest?" He indicates the wand.
Galoria Ginodesa
The ranger gave the warrior a bright smile. "Careful - words like those are sharper than the sword and cut into a lady's heart."
She palmed the scimitar, testing its balance with 2 deft slices, not as ornately-done as Stepen's. This will do.
Rafaello Lorenza
"Most certainly it will," Rafaello says, and gladly takes the wand. "A handy tool for any healer." He cracks a smile at a private joke between him and Streya the last time the pair of them had stumbled upon a wand- a crude joke involving a priest and his wand that might not be appropriate for just any crowd. "Remind me to thank Dern for this."
If nobody claims the scrolls, I'll bag those, too. :D
FratManCy
As soon as you palm the blade, you can feel a warm energy fill your being, as if Dern was fighting alongside of you. The holy scimitar is light, and its milky white metal shines in the light. It becomes clear that Dern was intelligent in his choice of weapons.
Wise choice in selecting this blade, Galoria. This might give you the edge that you need. :)
Zinthar Kanedrel
Zinthar nods his appreciation. "A fine blade, and it looks like it suits you well Galoria."
He turns his gaze back to the daemon. "How shall we prepare to deal with that?"
Ive got wands of blur and enlarge person at the ready, and one casting of cat's grace left.......anybody want to buff up before we start asking questions?
Pipernortin
Pip's only got a handful of spells left for the day, but he can also blur someone and play some amazing music. I think Stephen probably needs a blur if he's going to be the lead interrogator here. Just in case...

"Let's get to it then. I don't want to waste time with this thing, we need to hurry and..." He looks to his rather bedraggled comrades. "Hurry and rest. You guys need to rest, then we move. Hopefully it will be in a sharing mood. We should also see if the competing lovers we met will carry a warning to Cassomir for us as soon as possible. You all could see to that while I talk to our friend, then maybe find somewhere to bed down. Do demons happen to be particularly afraid of anything?"
Pipernortin
Pipernortin sits himself down, right in the middle of the floor, with a contemplative look about him. He knew he hear a song, or legend, or poem, or something about daemons. He just couldn't recall what it said...
Using bard powers to take 20 on a knowledgr check for daemons and weaknesses.
FratManCy
In your mind, you imagined yourself rummaging through what seemed like the preparation room of a stage. Several musical stands complete with books stood haphazardly as sheets of music lay strewn about the floor like a child's playroom. You were searching for something related to daemons.
My there was alotta of dust and books lying around!
It took sometime, but you managed to find a tattered book labeled, daemons: a nocturne of their ilk. Pouring through the pages, you remembered that each daemon had a note in common -
Daemons are neutral evil outsiders that eat souls and thrive on disaster and ruin.
Daemons have the following traits (unless otherwise noted):
Immunity to acid, death effects, disease, and poison.
Resistance to cold 10, electricity 10, and fire 10.
they are weak to good and in some cases, silver.
Armed with this knowledge, you return to your allies.
Pipernortin
Abruptly jumping up from his sitting position, Pip exclaims his excitement. It is only after doing so that he realizes it is terribly inappropriate. He's still very happy, though.
"I remembered! Mostly! Daemons are afraid of silver. Not always, but maybe half the time. Or more. And like Galoria said, angels. Good-aligned creatures, weapons, spells, and the like will cause them to burst into unholy flame from Abbadon itself!" He stops to make little explosion sounds and motions. Seeing that no one except himself was amused, he continued. "Though, like Zin said back there, fire's a no-go. They're highly resistant to fire, ice, and zappy. And the green goo that burns stuff doesn't do anything at all. Same with poisons. That should help- actually, that just sounds like a lot of bad. How do we kill these things?"
Rafaello Lorenza
"Only the power of goodness can dee-stroy these mon-sterrrrs!" /Troll2Reference
"Perhaps, then, after a rest, we might find time to shop around for some tool that might work better against them. I cannot help but imagine that these are not the last daemons we will encounter on this adventure!" Rafaello scratches his chin. "I would think the 'Align Weapon' spell might be of use, as well. I shall convene with my Goddess and prepare the use of this spell, but perhaps we might find a scroll or wand while we're at it..."
FratManCy
Some time has passed since the adventures had checked their hard earned loot. Upon returning to Mother's Care, they heard scratching and horse breathing.
The vulnadaemon had awakened and it was not happy. Having been tied up, it struggled against its bindings, snarling and yelping like a trapped animal. When it saw the party, it's voice cracked into a cacophony of guttural sounds!
Stephen Rogerson

Yeah, Stephen's not well educated in the difference.
Stephen sits down next to the monster and adopts a soft tone, still unsure if it can understand him or not. "You've already lost, and I've had a very bad day. Yelling isn't going to help you. You're gonna have a bad day too if we can't get a nice conversation going."
Stephen looks at Pip. "You're so full of surprises, I was half expecting you to be able to spontaneously learn a language. I guess you can't do everything."
Pipernortin
Pip averts his eyes and glances towards the wall. "Uh, I tried that once. Had a whole party babbling in some awful sounding tongue. Some strange dialect of Aklo, I've since been told. Too bad none of them actually knew that language."
Zinthar Kanedrel
"I know a few languages, but nothing from the Pit like that. If it cannot speak Common it has nothing for us, lets finish it off and be done with it."
Sense Motive (untrained): 1d20 ⇒ 5 to (not) see if it reacts like it understands the comment.
Rafaello Lorenza
"I may not know the language of these fiends, but I do know some wonderful curses in Celestial that might offend it greatly," Rafaello offers unhelpfully. "Sorry. There are no curses in Celestial. That was dishonest of me."
As he says this, he levels the gleaming point of his glaive toward the captive daemon and shoots it a threatening glare.
Galoria Ginodesa

"I agree with the necromancer," intoned Galoria, referring to their original meeting.

"Can't say we didn't try." Stephen abruptly jumps to his feet, snatches the scimitar from Galoria, and drives it into the top of the demons head.
Coup: 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 = 10

The daemon smiles wickedly as Captain Andoren draws near.
"არა, თქვენ მოკვდება?" it says in a questioning tone as Cap brings forth a strange looking blade.
The captive laughs for a bit, and tries to struggle from its bonds once more, going so far as to spit and cough blood. However, the moment that Stephen brings forth the blade, the daemon shrieked like cat!
"რატომ"
And in that instant, the Cap drove his blade further and the daemon exploded into a plume smoke!
THE POWER OF SARENRAE COMPELS YOU!
As you vanquished the daemon, somehow, you felt as if something was right. It was almost as if the blade agreed with your actions. Perhaps Dern's blade was more than a weapon.
Rafaello Lorenza
"Hmm. Well, now that this distasteful business is over, we know both that the daemons are not to be reasoned with, and that this blade does seem rather effective against them. Well met, friend Dern." Rafaello draws the Wand and goes to Dern's side, then uses it to hopefully heal some of the damage the poison had caused him.
I'll use a few charges of this thing. Once he seems to be doing better, I'll stop and save the rest.

Stephen draws the scimitar from the monsters head and cleans the blade on a table cloth before returning it to Galoria. "This is a... very nice blade. It will serve you well."
I do believe Mr Pipernortin took some ability damage as well. Does he want a shot of the wand?
Zinthar Kanedrel
"I agree with the necromancer," intoned Galoria, referring to their original meeting.
The weary wizard smiles, hard pressed to believe that their meeting, and that silly misconception, had only taken place a short time before.
"No accusations of being some kind of demon-worshipping summoner? You must be tired......."
Pipernortin
"Aren't we all... These things suck." Pip leans against the wall, weary and worn.
He would certainly not complain. 4 Strength is a little low even for Mr. Gnome. And a point of Cha damage... And a point of Cha drain! It has not been a good day for Pipernortin.
FratManCy
A sigh of relief passes from the Sarenrite as Rafaello had cured some of Dern's mental impairments. His eyes opened a slowly, and a smile had surfaced upon the veteran.
"I see you have found my old tools. Thank you, I had feared that what they had done to me was permanent."
Looking about the group, Dern noticed that Galoria had taken possession of his special blade.
"Young woman, I am honored you have given my blade a proper use. However, there are mysteries of that particular scimitar you are unaware of." A kindhearted smile appears on Dern's face as he continues his speech. "I see you have met my friend, Clarity, she is a special blade, one forged with a spirit said to have been of Sarenrae's flock. Her voice is subtle, and she provides protection towards those who upholds their best effort and vows to vanquish evil. In times of great duress, she had protected me in my darkest hours. Take good care of her and she will serve you well."
Stephen Rogerson
|
"I'm sorry to push you sir, but we don't have a lot of time. What was going on here? Where did all these demons come from? What happened to the town, the people in it? What is Flinn doing?" He offers a waterskin to the sickly priest.
I think you're as sexy as you've ever been, Pip. Maybe sexier.
Galoria Ginodesa
"I was unaware the sword was of such meaning to you. Please, keep it - it is not my place to take something you've bonded with."
For all her sticky-fingered ways, she knew better than to publicly tarnish her reputation be seeming overly avaricious. Though he'll end up a few coins short if he wants this thing back, mark my words...
FratManCy
"Son, I know not where the deamons have come from except that in my very core, something is very wrong with Hope's Hollow. I had only known this town in passing from my time in Cassomir." Dern paused for a moment and searched his mind. "As for Flinn, it makes absolutely no sense as to why he would betray me."
Looking upon Galoria, he could see that she held the scimitar with fondness.
"In my better days, Clarity and I had faced great challenges. I feel that with what has transpired, she may be your best bet in stopping what evil lurks."
Galoria Ginodesa
"In my better days, Clarity and I had faced great challenges. I feel that with what has transpired, she may be your best bet in stopping what evil lurks."
"Then that we will do. Your help in finding where they lurk will be most valuable."
