Galoria felt a similar blade strike at her from the darkness, but she managed to block its arc with her readied dagger.

From no where a small childlike creature join's Kien's flank, and slashes at him with a wicked blade. Her hair is a mottled mess, and a massive scar seeping with blood and ooze runs along her neck forming a demented smile upon her flesh. Catching her gaze, Kien noticed that this was something not from this world, and her form began to shift and vibrate, like ripples upon water. Before he could make sense of the situation, he felt as if something was trying to enter his mind.

OK, my plan is to move in to the room that held the female admin that attacked Pip. Into Galoria's square, then south one. Assuming the female admin is still in the doorway, acrobatics check vs her CMD to move through her square, ending movement to the space south of her and attacking her, assuming she's still there. Unless I don't know where Galoria is, then I guess Galoria is getting smacked.

1. Zinthar moves away, and notices that nothing from the shadows tries to murder him. As he gains a new foothold, he moves behind Kien's shape and directs a magical shot at the new creature.
Zinthar hits, but it has no effect!
2. Captain Andoren proves that he's of the heroic types, pushes back into the darkness and tries to gain footing within the maw of danger. As he felt a shape, he leaped over and firmly planted his shield within the creature's shape!
The Cap hits!
3. Pipernortin struggles to strum his instrument as the lingering pain throbs in his veins.
Pip beings summoning a monster.
4. Out of the shadows, Cap feels something pierce his side, and with it, a sickening sensation over comes his body.

Another childlike creature appears, covered in blood and stained clothing, it wields a wicked looking blade and homes in on Kien with its sibling, and abuse the Brawler, who seems to be under their spell.

From the western hallway emerges another Cacodaemon, who seems to be lolling in the eye, seizing up its prey.

7. Desperate to render more of Abaddon's minions to ribbons, he swiped and flourished his glaive with the grace of a calligrapher, making elaborate shapes in the air until his confidence had forsaken him. In a misturn, Raf ends up himself with the butt of his weapon.

While enjoying the sound of his own music, Pip searches for some way to open the window. Barring a latch or handle to open it, he shrugs and smashes it open with the back end of his fiddle.
Letting the fresh air and meager sunlight of Hope's Hollow flood in through the open window, Pip spins back around with an extravagant display of his bardic skill and enters into a crescendo.

@Cap: good news is Ive been counting it wrong and we have 1 round more than I originally thought. bad news is I cast it in round 2 so on my initiative we're at 3 of 6 remaining
Zinthar curses loudly in elven as his spell fails to affect the creature. He had hoped his familiarity with the obscuring spell would help him pierce the veil and hit the thing but his hubris cost him the wasted time. And the wasted spell. Resources are running out quickly as the group continues to get deeper and deeper into trouble.
The wizard wracks his brain for any knowledge that might help them gain the advantage.

The thought is gone as quickly as it came. There are simply too many factors here, he needs to focus on his primary weapon. From his position of safety behind Kien he begins casting again. Well, that was for nothing, it seems.
Galoria was back where she started, but the sounds of a skirmish remained. If the direct route won't work, I'll have to try something else. Disliking the close, dark quarters without knowledge of who predator and prey truly were, she made here way quickly to the East and turned towards the open door. Perhaps this room will lead around.
She does her best to close in on combat from the direction. Sorry she's not more useful, but a jungle gym in a 5' dark hallway has ways of jamming actions.

1. The baby things are Vulnadaemons. You understand that they're small childlike creatures from Abaddon that prey on the weak and miserly. They do happen to have some nasty resistances: DR 5/good or silver; Immune acid, death effects, disease, poison; Resist cold 10, electricity 10, fire 10
2. The flying meatball things are cacodaemons. Easily the lowest lifeform of Abaddon, they're apt at finding souls and sowing chaos!
2. Steven firmly plants his shield and flurries the female admin, rendering her to death! In a fit of a violent explosion, a loud pop occurs, sending for a wave of sonic energy!

3. Pip's magma elemental surges forth within the darkness and emits a ball of magma goo that strikes at the creature behind Cap. The Creature's sudden scream is all that the team needs to know that his strike was true.

4. The pair of administrators who had been toying w/ the heroes in the darkness had faced a greater foe – Captain Andoran. In mere moments, the female admin was bashed to death, leaving behind her crude form. Meanwhile, the Male Admin tried his best to strike at the Cap and found that his blade couldn't pierce the hero's armor.
Female Admin has been slain! And Male Admin had missed!
The childlike creatures have their fun at eviscerating the proud drow descended brawler, rendering his flesh like spaghetti. Reduced to the ground, it was a lone Cacodaemon that had delivered the final blow, ending Kien's life.
In seconds that followed, another Cacodaemon had appeared, its maw opened wide, and it began siphoning what appeared to be gossamer threads. In mere moments, Kien's dark form became a hollow husk, as the forces of evil had claimed another in their terror.
Kien is dead.
5. Sensing Pip's magma elemental was all that she needed to do to seek safety.
Galoria moves out of the way and heads into the hallway!
6. Rafaello's channel brightened the room, however, its rays failed upon Kien's flesh!

The wizard grits his teeth as he sees the divine magics have no affect on their fallen comrade. With grim determination he realizes that while the drow's fall is a horrible tragedy it also clears the battlefield a bit. Zinthar takes a step back, now shoulder to shoulder with Raf, taking out a scroll as he does so. He unrolls it with a flick of his wrist. "Almost everything, but not this.......
As he finishes the incantation with a loud shout, he raises his hand and a blast of shining slivers catches all the creatures in the hallway.
5' step straight down so no AOO from movement, pull out scroll of Diamond Spray during movement.

Stephen strikes out against the female admin. His blows are true and 'she' pops and blasts him with a wave of sound for the second time in this adventure.

Rafaello's words are lost in his throat as he realizes that Kien is beyond saving. It is not until Zinthar's spell goes off that he is able to get ahold of himself.
"Everyone, regroup immediately!" he shouts. "Kien is down! We're being swarmed!" And with that, he attacks the nearest enemy. Assuming Zinth wiped out the Cacodaemons, I'll target the nearest candy-muncher. If not... Well, I have unfinished business with Caco #2!

Still trapped between the window and the darkness, with only an old man (and apparently skillful sleeper) to keep him company, Pip hesitates.
Hesitation just enough to hear Rafaello's cry. Kien was down! Incapacitated? Unconscious? Or had the horrible creatures lurking in Mother's Care killed a good man? In his shock, Pip lets his song drop into a mournful, morose tune.
Unsure what to do - to dive into the darkness, or to stay back and wait - Pip settles for merely searching the room, hoping to find something of use.

1. Upon seeing his comrade fall, Zinthar moves down and produces a scroll that which showers the cluster of enemies with tiny sparks of diamond dust. In mere seconds he renders their flesh with grace!

2. Captain Andoran turns in his stead, and assaults the remaining Admin with his shield, bashing the person to a bloodly pulp. In mere seconds, he hears another pop, causing a small stur within the darkness.

3. Pipernortin sends his monster forth, but with no clear target, it awaits until something nears it!

4.Several of the monsters fell to the ground, bleeding and unconscious from the Wizard's trick.

However, the Vulnadeamons surged forth, and claimed each humanoid a target of their own! Vulna #1 attempts to swing its wicked sword at the cleric, catching only cloth, while its sibling channels forth dark and twisted energy!
Vulna #1 misses and Vulna #2 provokes an AoO from Raf
Zinthar needs to make a Will Save!
Meanwhile, Cacodaemon #3, barely affected by the Wizard's blast targets Captain Andoran as a free meal while being struck by the magma elemental. Its searing heat catches the daemon's flesh, but it seems to be enjoying the trick.

5. Galoria manages to find herself out of the darkness and joins her allies within the lobby. Though she was unsure which of the creatures had claimed Kien's life, she strikes at an easy target, Caco #2. Remembering her experience w/ the wily daemons was enough for her to end their existence. However, she had forgotten how resilient their hides were.

6. Rafaello swings his weapon widly as he's presented w/ 2 fresh targets – Vulnadaemons 1&2.. However, he notices that his blade seems to have little affect against the candy muncher.

Zinthar smiles as the scroll's magic rips through their enemies. Could have been better, but definitely helped! A quick glance tells him that the distorted daemon seems to have managed to avoid the spells affects and makes a note to use that spell himself a lot more frequently in the future.
Assuming he survives this battle, which is far from determined yet. Taking a step back to give himself some room he begins casting again, this time sending a beam of flame shooting toward the vulnadaemon that fell victim to his scroll. He knows the thing is resistant to fire but also knows that if the flames are intense enough they will still burn....
