Please clarify my perception
Were we heading down spiral, thereby have the upper ground on the dreaugar? (ya I never could spell this right nor consistantly, you'll get used to it.) This does have an influence on my negotiating believe it or not.

From the door there is a five foot wide and fifteen foot deep rectangular passage that leads to the spiral stairs up. The last part of the fifteen foot rectangle begins to spiral up the stairs so that person number four in line is on the stairs and lacks line of sight to the door. Numbers 4 and higher in line from the door are 'snaked' up the spiral staircase and have total cover from the door (and the door has total cover from them). There is no advantage of height at the door. Had this place been designed for defense, it would have easily been possible to put the door ten feet down the hallway so only one person at a time could get in the doorway with all the others stuck on the stairs.
Hope that helps.

1) Any chance I can get an AoO for the Roarforge weapon draw? Not sure if it works when we are possibly back to back. No big either way.
2) Since Hon is sandwiched between two(three?) baddies, wouldn't Hon also be affected by the web? Hon reflex 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 vs DC13.
3) So there is room enough behind Roarforge for Hon to face against two combatants? One of them now stuck in webs?

Hey, just a heads up, I'm going to be gone most of tomorrow, so no posting until late tomorrow night.
I also wanted to let you know that I'm still here, just waiting for my chance to reappear.

I'm back. Trip took longer than I thought it would due to a really bad wreck on US 80. Two west-bound cars lost control and swerved onto the east-bound lane. It looks like both vehicles rolled and one of them was rally bad and it's likely that the driver in that one died. An officer came and told us that they were trying to get traffic flowing again and that this was the worst accident he had seen in a long time. When my mother asked him if anyone had died, he said, "We are still trying to determine that."
The scary thing is that could have been my mother, my sister, and I if we had been two or three minutes quicker on the road to see some family in Georgia. Please keep the families of those involved in your prayers. If you don't believe in God, then just keep them in your thoughts. Death is not an easy thing to deal with. It doesn't get any easier the more you experience. I know there are people in Denver morning right now, and I will keep them in my prayers as well, but I thought that you should know that I am okay and that my family and I are safe.

Don't want to clog up the play thread.
Just so we are clear: We are just removing the bodies(&clothes). Staging the gear (armor, weapons, coins) in such a way that they remain on post guarding a locked door. I say all of these because undead have no need. I suspect there is no shortage of weapons, a few more won't hurt.
Hon will close and lock door.
Backtrack to the eastern corridor, erasing tracks as observed, await the return of the bodysnatchers.

Actually I was going with remove everything armor gear and all and worry about looting later at the surface so we can try another pay. This reduces how much they know about us and protects the gear from being used again. Have ou search and explore while the, bodies are removed to save time.

You know we just converted this stealth mission to ambush, hit and run. Ideas?
1) Avoid easy targets, get behind the high alert lines
2) Feint, deflect, misinformation, bribe, blackmail
3) So much for diplomacy. My excuse? I was IC... And yes this will happen again. He is a nice guy what can I say?

Just one teensy, weensy, tiiiiiiiiiiiny problem with that.
Joan's back and she don't take too kindly to ambushes against allies and friends. :)

Yeah, now Nar's go three Dwarves on him potentially. and Joan's a Sitting Duck.
I will say this. Chainmail's encounters are by far some of the best I've had.

They used the Maul? How uncouth. I prefer the "leave no trace" method. If Hon had a portable hole, it would be brimming with bodies and evidence. Emptied at opportune times, of course. Don't think of me as evil, perhaps a "cleaner".
And FWIW, Hon is sensitive regarding facing his own death. He hates facing it.

For those about to die

Ahhh It all comes together. Soon I'll no longer have to maintain my facade of kowtowing to you surface dwarves and spitgnomes. Today I shall ascend my rightful place as the hier apparent of DarkOwl and all his dark dwarven progeny. Tomorrow the world! MuHahahaaha!*

No, why?
Perhaps we're not understanding it properly though? Did Kib not have enough movement to get a bead on the hallway where the Cleric and Fighter are?
I don't actually see him on the map at all, so wasn't sure
