Still here, though with limited internet access.
My character has a ton of poisons, but I don't know if any are good for interrogation. I suspect those that depress WIS and thus drop will saves might be helpful?
Owen's got some interesting stuff in his bag as well. Not very nice stuff, and also not that exotic, but still possibly useful.

We have our moving sale tomorrow, then are packing and selling big stuff Sunday/Monday/Tuesday, then will be moving (driving) Wednesday and possibly Thursday, depending if we make enough during the sale for both gas and a hotel room.
We'll try to check in from time to time, but may not be around until Thursday, particularly with the short library hours on Saturday and Sunday.

UPDATE: Work continues to take up a huge amount of time. I do not see it letting up in the near future. I want to wrap up this encounter and then put the game on hiatus until I can devote more consistent time to it. I appreciate your participation and I look forward to returning to this game in the future, if you are still interested at that time.

We haven't really started this encounter. If you want to put this on hold now, it works well for me.
Unfortunately, I think I will have to take you up on your offer and put the game on hold now. It's been nearly two weeks and I am still having difficulty finding the time to post. Between working weekends, 12 hour days, and 2 hours of commuting, I find there isn't much time for anything else. Sorry everyone.

* Shakes dust off the thread. *
I have the time now to restart this campaign if there is still interest. I plan to run the campaign at home with my family as well.
As we restart, what are your thoughts on taking a mythic turn with this campaign. The rules are available here.
I'll also send out pm's pointing back to here.
My goal is to start in the next two weeks.

"Harumph, now lets see how healthy I am...."
Hit Points: 8 + 3d8 + 8 ⇒ 8 + (3, 2, 8) + 8 = 29
Nearly got all the dull crunch done. Then I'll get the background (& responses) out of my head, along with all that dust.

** spoiler omitted **
Excellent idea. Go ahead and roll initiative and I'll insert you in. We can work out the background while the encounter plays out.

David M Mallon |

We may need a mass effect intervention. Owen is beginning to sound very much like Mordin.
I was trying to go for Rorschach, but I can see where you'd get that. He monologues way less than either of them, though.

I believe you mean, "Grammar is a superfluous addition to the language," and "you have no use for it." I disagree.

But you still knew what I meant. Your move.

Still somewhat unsure of how Mythic works.
Mythic in a nutshell.
PC's start out as normal characters. At some point, something big happens and the PCs "ascend" to mythic status. This something big could take many forms, exposure to a very powerful force, a gift granted by gods, obtaining items containing mythic powers, etc.
When the PCs ascend, they choose one of 6 paths (or have the option to choose a dual path.) These paths grant special abilities depending on the path chosen. (Owen very likely will choose the Archmage path).
Ascension can occur at any point during the PC's career. The general rule of thumb is that you should have half the number of mythic tiers as your character level.
To continue to advance the mythic part of your character, you need to go through a series of mythic trials. It is up to the GM's discretion when you complete a mythic trials. The number of mythic trials required to achieve a mythic tier increases as your tiers increase.
Here is the table.
Tier Trial
1st* —
2nd 1
3rd 2
4th 2
5th 3
6th 3
7th 4
8th 4
9th 5
10th 5
As you achieve each tier, you can take mythic abilities, feats, and gain new powers.
Let me know if you have some specific questions, and I will help along the way.

Sorry for being AWOL for a little while-- I was doing a remodeling job that took about twice as long as I thought it would.
not a problem. I was busy helping my wife get her new classrooms (note the plural) ready before students arrived Monday. She found out two weeks before school started she had to move.

This upcoming weekend in the US is Labor Day. I'll be spending my weekend driving my son back to college in Minnesota (I live in Texas). It's a 19 hour drive one way and we are leaving Friday and returning Sunday. Needless to say, I may not have much access to the internet.
Before I leave, I'd like to finish up this segment with Cerpera. I still need Owen, Ilias and Ulath to post. This will give you all time to add mythic abilities to your characters over the weekend.
