Like angels of vengeance, Grafire and Hadarai strike back at their attackers, Grafire throwing himself in front of Sister Naenia. His opponent is on his last legs, and panting like a mad dog, glares at Grafire as the blood streams from his wounds. The tieflings lash out with their scimitars.

Eyes whirling with outrage, Akahale extricates himself daintily from the surrounding banditry and attempts to blast one of them into nothingness.

The succubus slinks through the woods and her eyes glow and lock with those of one of the warriors. The pilgrims continue to run, some defiantly if hopelessly running to the effigy cart as if by their faith they can protect the relic.

Magical effects fly through the air, as the mages in the wood attack the heroes.

Manny mumbles and grumbles as the battle rages around him. He seems, distracted. When he finally gets his rope belt re-tied, he looks up and into the face of his opponent.

"Oh. Hello. Aaaaaand, goodbye!" He says with a smile, his bushy white beard bristling. He leans sideways, and disappears.

He reappears on the far side of the wagon, where he takes in the bandit attacking the child on the other wagon.

"Hey!" He shouts, waving his staff as his other hand dips into his robe and pulls out a small sphere.

"Hey! Teacher! Leave those kids alone!" He cries as he touches his small orb to his staff, and then uses the staff to send a brilliant bolt of shimmering magic towards the villain.

Manny suddenly finds himself charged by two burly men, as the wizards in the wood try to destroy the succubus.
