That's the plan, so I'll level him up this weekend.
Just wondering, does the adventure have any contingency if you have a party like ours with no true spellcasters?
Chay Heliot |
OK, Level 5 Chay now up and ready to serve the crew.
He's got two Water Breathing spells memorized. (each lasts 10 hours divisible any way they want.)
4 touch of the seas (Each lasts 5 minutes)
He also has a continual Flame Memorized, so you all can see underwater and invisibility if anyone wants that for the initial scouting.
In addition, in the 17 hours (or so) Since the fight, he has brewed four touch of the sea potions for the crew to take with them.
Also He is in effect a full service magic shop for this crew now.
He can:
Scribe Scrolls
Brew Potions
Craft Wondrous Items
Craft Magic Arms & Armor.
So in the future start putting in your orders :)
There you go GM Foxy, you have a built in story reason to keep us out of port and still have a way to hand over the magic items you want.

Hi there.
I noticed that it is going slow in all games. But here I got nothing save the one post from Noonan in the last four days.
So here the question: Is it only real life interfering or is the game getting boring.
And if it's the latter which option would you prefer:
- skip that boring underwater stuff and continue afterwards?
- change something else that makes this game tedious?
- scrap the whole game?
Estelle Numbduster |
I am here, Estelle had already gone so I was waiting for Lito to go.
Foxy Quickpaw |
It is a new round and only Besmara has used up her actions so far. And Lito is a bit disadvantaged here, as he can't inspire in any easy way when no one can hear him. And none of his language based spells work.
But there is still the question how much fun this underwater stuff is. I have about 20 nondescript caves like this one coming up. I guess I collect one reasonable end boss fight from this dungeon for the next cave and then we call it a day about this AP book.
But first you have to kill that one sahuagin that Besmara has not yet stabbed to death.
Estelle Numbduster |
Maybe just a few caves, the interesting bits of the caves brought into a few. Underwater combat is interesting and hard, it makes you really think about what you can do.
Foxy Quickpaw |
Why don't you message your inspiring song?
Also: I haven't done the math, but killing some of the smaller threats might be more effective, because of the action economy. If you all stand around the king, then you'd get three flanking sahuagins. Which would also help the king. Not that he needs it.
Lito de'Anora |
Honestly because the the thought of someone doing in effect water ballet to inspire a bunch o of rough and tumble pirates amuses me. It's like an old 50's musical.
Estelle Numbduster |
Says the Gillman haha, they are pretty fit to do all that though. I don't think Estelle is pretty enough for it, nor does she like to restrain her crazy red mop
Estelle Numbduster |
copper = 250.5 gp
Silver = 1890 gp
gold = 2083 gp
Total = 4223.5 in coinage
Estelle Numbduster |
No that is total, I haven't divided it up yet.
If each PC takes 750 gold that leaves 1223.5 for crew and boat stuff. That is just petty cash. Lito is going to have to do his thing for selling the other stuff.
Estelle Numbduster |
Crown 5000 gold
Jeweled Box 500 gold
Assorted Jewelry 2500gp
Another 8000 gold here depending on prices for selling.
Estelle Numbduster |
Got somethign hot you want to buy?
If we are going to help with building up the area around The Rock how do we get money for that, or is that the Plunder?
Also are we using the Infamy tracker?
Estelle Numbduster |
Can Lito just make the rolls and we can figure out loot and such whilst thou reads the next book?
Foxy Quickpaw |
We don't need to stop playing. You just have to suggest what to do next. Ignore the throne or take care of it? Select a town to sail to, to sell all that stuff. Do more pirating. Do an identify spell on the unidentified stuff. Tell stories in harbours to increase your infamy. Whatever.
It is just that Besmara won't command you in a direction, as I don't have one for that yet.
Lito de'Anora |
Is that it for the caves? Are there more dangers we have to deal with for the Sahaguin?
My thoughts are:
We level up
Take care of the throne
Tackle another ship (If there's a fun one left in the book) or loot the town that was rude to us
Find a town near the Rock and offer protection if they pay us.
(protection racket?)
head to a big town sell off the plunder and recruit carpenters and gain infamy
Head back to the rock to start on the town
What if that sounds fun?
Foxy Quickpaw |
The most fun is probably between the books anyway.
You've cleared out the caves no. D9, D19, D20 and D21. If you're into fighting sahuagin through numerous nondescript caves you can guess how many of them are left.
I'd be fine with Lito commanding the order of events. Besides some personal feuds Besmara is captain mostly for the benefits it comes with. For the time being she's going to bug Chay to finally get her some magic gear.
Estelle Numbduster |
We could tackle another ship on the way to a town if that just happens that way.
Once in the town as Lito suggest, we sell off plunder, buy some carpenters, buy supplies, head to the rock and begin construction of a town.
While that is underway we can sail about increasing our infamy by raiding and telling our tale.
The throne I think we just leave alone since there isn't to much we can do about it.
Estelle Numbduster |
She won't be giving them much option, come with me or I break you fingers.
I am mad that I keep rolling crap for HP. I am going to have to take the toughness feat hah
