Kurt Irving: No I do not, but if you're going to suggest a Jotun being press ganged, I expect an amazing story as to why.
Um..'cause ye be wantin' some one big t'help with haulin' an' stowin' an' thumpin' an' carryin' an' stuffs? (>_>)
Y'know, it'd be rilly handy havin' some bod who's got th' grunt t' heave-a-way an' haul-a-way.......
Now, as fer actually keepin' said big thumper in line? Yah...that be a different type o' question.
Just' sayin', is all....

Llaelian: its cool; looked it over, and I really don't mind if you go that route
Lucia: cool. Either way its fine, and great backstory, personality and description.

Backstory
In most places on Golarion, it is true to say that those with fiendish blood would do well to hide it. Sadly, for Lucien Demark, this was never an option. With stark, blue-white skin that would make a Winter Witch look rosy of countenance by comparison, piercing black pupil-less eyes like those of a reptile or insect, and an oddly symmetrical body, only the blind could mistake him for human.
Given these unearthly origins, it is hardly surprising that he was abandoned as a baby by his mortal parent on the doorstep of the local temple of Nethys; presumably on the assumption that they would be used to dealing with the unusual and otherworldly. Happily this proved correct, and Lucien's formidable intelligence and natural talent for magic; especially conjuration, made him a most promising novice in the eyes of his superiors.
Yet in spite of receiving a far more promising start than most fiend-blooded could ever hope for, a lingering desire to discover how and why he came to be burned within him. Given the many ships within his home town and the tales brought back by sailors of mysterious lands filled with great wealth and magic, Lucien saw a potential opportunity to accumulate the knowledge and power he would require to, in turn, discover and summon his infernal progenitor; and demand answers to the questions that endlessly burned within him.
Praying to Nethys for guidance, an image of the Formidably Maid in Port Peril flashed briefly within his mind, and he journeyed there immediately; hoping fervently that the purpose behind the vision granted him by his mad god would become clear upon arrival.

I'm seeing lots of rolling on the Variant Tiefling Abilities table. I know in Calcifer's game everyone rolled, but in the rules you have up for this game it's not included.
In case I am supposed to have tiefling stuff:
1d100 ⇒ 25
1d100 ⇒ 51
1d100 ⇒ 73
I would choose speaking with birds.
If I'm not supposed to roll, disregard this :)
Also, I'm considering dropping to 25 point buy for extra skills and something else. How does the "extra spell known" work for prepared casters, is it a slot, or just useless for them?
Let me know if I'm being too high maintenance and I'll just go back to what I had. Certainly not trying to antagonize the DM with endless questions, I just like making sure my characters aren't going to need to be revised later.
[Also filling out a more complete backstory today.]

I'd love to get in on a Skull & Shackles game, but all I have for now is a concept. I'll post it for a chance at a slot if you do start a second game...or know someone who is going to start one.
Taize Vesper; Samsaran Cleric; true neutral (I want to take Versatile Channeler); or, if allowed the Divine Channeler from Rite Publishing
She follows no god/dess at this time, but will have the Chosen of Besmara trait; she has just recently reincarnated here in the Shackes; she beleives that something in a previous live brought this about and that she has a destiny assigned by the Gods.

Divine channeler is fine; Are you sure you want her to follow no deity and why would you do so?
Alexi "Crocodile" Montague
Here I'm posting Alexi "Crocodile" Montague, the Beastspawn Tiefling Rakshasa Blooded Sorcerer. I'm picking with my points
-2 for 25 Pt Buy.
-3 for the Extra Feat.
There's some stuff I'm going to need to change around with the character's backstory, personality, ect, but that should all be up by later tonight.
Deevor
Cecic the cabin boy halfling cleric of Besmara will be back ... who will take a couple of levels in either rogue or bard. Will take 2pts for 25 pts character creation and 3 pts for extra feat ... starting feats childlike and pass for human ...
Will add his stats and background, when I get to the laptop.

Fun. Well Deevort makes 20, and I said I would close off recruitment at 20 being enough to fill my initially stated party 2.5 times over. For those of you who haven't been able to post, sorry, the demand for this game is INSANE, and hope someone else agrees to run it (which they should, since the setting is hillarious and awesome).
For those of you who HAVE stated intent to run, get your character sheets finished by the weekend. I already have started choosing people, and have some people who I definitely want in and some who I want to exclude, but the largest group is still 'Maybe.' And anyone who hasn't submitted or finished their sheet is in that group. So yeah, get it done.

Ok! Hope I'm making the submission deadline!
Am submitting a Kval Freebooter Ranger.
I can quickly whip up a backstory and character sheet, but just wanted to get this in and make sure this race is accepted.
Reading it up on it, it's seems a very unique and definitely not overpowered but very fun race to play. And most of all, PERFECT to be a pirate!
If Kval's won't be accepted though please let me know and I'll submit something else right away. (Hope it is though as I'm now dying to play one! )
PS I'm a very frequent (2-3/day average) and regular poster (a few of my games are into their 2nd or 3+ years)

Um...c'n we have a show of hands as t'who were folks who applied fer DM Calcifer first off?
I were one. (Sunny)
Who else? Maybe we c'n get a better 'feel' fer who's who in'a zoo? (^_^)
Don't worry I got a list from the other thread; also, I've closed off recruitment already, its just a wee bit too many players already (because really, I do have a responsibility to choose a feasible party for you guys too).
Lucia Rhitu
Because I'm bored, this is a list of everybody so far and my best guess as to their preferred method of operation.
Martial
- Sunny (CG Aquatic Elf . . . Fighter?)*
- Zoc Nightleaf (LN Half-Elf Monk)
- Aula Heartpiercer (CN Human Ranger)
- Sharice (CG Human Barbarian (Urban Barbarian))*

* Indicates someone who applied to Calcifer's game. May not have gotten everybody myself.
Sharice
Okay, profile fixed and updated, couple minor changes from Calcifer's thread.
* Skipped Extra Rage in favor of Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Elven Curve Blade. For finesse fighters that aren't going the two-weapon rogue style, it's pretty much the ultimate choice.
* Turns out Lamellar quirass has a max dex bonus of +4, so it's useless to her when she rages. Swapped back to regular leather, and even that's pushing it. She'll likely rely on magical armor bonuses later on.
* Herolab is an absolute pain in the nether regions when it comes to changing the gold you started out with and correctly reflecting that on your sheet. The ECB is the 'free masterwork weapon' Calcifer indicated in the rules; everything else adds up to less than 20 GP.

Amended the list. Also, my philosophy about the Offensive/Defensive caster is that it's really more about what you deal with - your enemies or your allies. Divine magic users, most Bards, and some Witches are primarily concerned with what their allies are doing (Buffs and healing). Sorcerers/Wizards, Summoners, most Witches, and Magi are generally focused on what the enemy wants to do to them (Blasting, Debuffing, and Controlling.) So that's how I generally chopped things up.
I know the Magus as a caster type will probably annoy some people, but as a general rule I find that they're mostly about using their weapons to deliver magic and use straight attacks as a backup. That's not universal, but I gave everybody a three-second glance at best when making the list, so I've probably misclassified some other people too.
Also, Not An Official List. Ace has the final say over who's in what category or even if he's considering them at all.
Lucille Bluth
I'd like to throw Lucille Bluth into the mix, as well. She didn't apply to the previous thread, but was developed for a RL game that never got off the ground.
Lucille is the daughter of the infamous buccaneer, George "Pop Pop" Bluth. Unfortunately for him - and subsequently Lucille - that infamy was not earned for being fearsome. Rather, it was for being a bumbling fool, incapable of plundering even the tamest of merchant vessels without serious mishap.
One such mishap occurred when Lucille was 16. It was the first time her father allowed her on board his latest vessel - The Seaward. He was working with a meager crew - as only the most desperate would sign on with "Pop Pop" - and so the work was spread quite thin. Lucille loved the work, however, and did everything as well or better than the rest of the crew.
While she was manning the crow's nest, she spotted a vessel approaching from their stern. She called down to her father, who was overseeing the swabbing of the deck, and he immediately ran to the rear of the ship to discover they were being pursued by Sargavan officials.
"Pop Pop," in an effort to rally his troops, fired his customary two pistol shots into the air (hence hisnickname, "Pop Pop"). Unfortunately, in his haste to reload the second cartridge, he didn't pack it correctly and the gun backfired, completely removing his face and ending his life. The Sargavan officials quickly overtook the ship, removed the distraught Lucille from her father's side and threw her in the sick bay.
Upon returning to Sargava, Lucille managed to escape the officials - who had no intention of keeping her locked up, any way - and found passage aboard a privateer's ship. She honed her abilities and swore that she would redeem the "Bluth" name.

Yeah; I have my own list too, but its FAAAAAR more complex since I have just roles, like 'Sneaky', 'Thief', 'Survival', the sadly neglected 'Knowledge' and everyone's favorite, 'Im not going to bother with you because your backstory does not interest me, or it doesn't have anywhere I can tie in extra stuff just for your character, or it would clash with other things.' Also my table has measures of how much someone will fill that role, so for the players I like, they are in multiple categories for most of them.
Also, while we're discussing these classifications, Magi tooootally count as casters. They're only about 2/3 wizard (reduced to 3/4 when I saw their limited spells, reduced to 2/3 since they focus on touch spells and not on being a 'controller'). The rest 1/3 is fighter, because they can do STUPID lots of damage, even though they're relatively frail (At 5th level my one friend kept pulling off 100+ damage combos; he was TERRIFYING.)
Also coming ever closer to completion; might have results as early as tonight for who did and didn't make it, if that's ok with everyone.
Also Sharice: All are good, except the herolab thing, which is why I do my sheets by hand.

ah the dm had a bad experience with magus, that does not bode well for me. Still excited to give it a go.

Hey! Whaddija do that for? It's a waste of perfectly good rum!
