"Kish - give Tarka the map Maurit started for us and ask him to draw where Firespeaker is, and all the possible routes to get there so we can make a good plan. Any information he has about traps, narrow passages, hidden ways, etc can be used to defeat the fake. Also ask him how many kobolds would fight for Firespeaker, and how many will fight for Tarka, and where each of these groups are located. He seems to like you..." Grim mutters to Kisara, with a sly wink at the end ;-)

THAT'S IT! THAT'S IT! He DIRTY THIEF! He stole your green sword, he stole, and now you coming to get sword he stole! THIEF! THIEF! We go get your sword! DIRTHY THIEF! He in next room right here! We gettim, you killim dead! Kobolds no interfere! They hear he THIEF and they join us!"
The kobolds start whooping and cheering, they seem very excited now as if on a crusade and they go for the door appearing both righteous and indignant, off to avenge a debt of honour - Tarka tuns and kicks open the door, yelling something commanding into the next room. The kobolds look like they are staying well out of this.

Move to D13 and ready action to attack first creature that comes through the door:
Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Damage 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 for small critters, 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 = 17 for medium critters

1d10 is the damage Aegon would deal, (for example) if he were wielding a greatsword sized for a small hero to wield. 1d10 will give you a potential damage range of 1-10 whereas 2d6 will give you a range of 2-12. What the sword hits is irrelevant, a small character is a bit harder to hit and that is demonstrated by their naturally higher AC, but they are no harder to damage. Does that make sense?
The kobolds surprise Kishara by leaping into action, she sets down her lamp, draws her rapier and moves to B13, making use of the shadows there to conceal herself and peers into the next room to see what she can see.
Stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

That could have ended rather messily!
The Kobolds scatter away, refusing to participate in the fight. The strange mottled manlike creature springs forward, and into Aegons sight allowing him to hurl a star knife at it 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 141d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 which neatly strikes home; Yhen utters something wicked sounding at the thing 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 which appears to grasp it's attention as well!
Angered, the creature quickly incants its colourful retort, sending a swirling pattern of light through the doorway!
Colour Spray hits Grim, Kish, Aegon, Moll. DC13 will saves with your next actions please!
Yhen, Evil Eye landed.

Cr@p! I thought it was total HD of creatures affected! Don't suppose you'll give me a cover bonus of, say, +1? ;-)
Grim is knocked unconscious for 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7 rounds. When he wakes up he is blinded and stunned for 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds, and then regains sight but remains stunned for another round.
So you're on your own for 9 rounds, kids. Sorry!!

Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 Unconscious: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7 Blinded/Stunned: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Kishara succumbs to the spell as well, slumping to the ground almost at once. See you in 10 rounds. >_<

Sorry for the late post, been busy these past few days. Yea I always almost target AC since we have so many melee. Wow so all of you guys have been stunned??
Is there a remedy for stun or we just wait it out?
Round 2
"I guess we have to do this on our own,"
Yhen will move to C-17 and Evil Eye on attack rolls.

Mandrak plants a big hit on the creature, adding to the wound in place from the starknife. Yhen continues her magical cursing 1d20 ⇒ 15 but the new curse fails to take hold. Now worried, the creature steps back from Mandrak and casts, unleashing a ray of light at him 1d20 ⇒ 20 which neatly strikes home.

With Mandrak struck by the creature's magic, Moll steps in, dropping her Guisarme in favor of on of her shortswords, which she tries to slash the creature with.
Drop Guisarme, move to C11 drawing Shortsword 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

End combat
The creature having freshly blinded Mandrak seemed rather happy with itself, but Moll took advantage of the pause to slide in fast with a very neat stab. The creature falls in a bloody heap.
The snores of the sleeping allies are about the only noise, the Kobolds are looking on in shocked silence.

Moll searches the fallen creature for the Katana, and stands menacingly over his fallen body thereafter while the others recover from its magic. "What to make of this?" she says softly, looking down at the creature before returning her gaze to the Kobolds.

Kishara is currently having nightmares about chasing a 7-foot tall rabbit down a hole. But as soon as she is conscious and able, she will be asking:
"What happened? Is everyone ok? Did we find the jade katana?"
