It has been a century since the immortal witch Baba Yaga last visited the world, and the hour draws nigh for her return. But when she fails to appear in the frozen realm of Irrisen to usher in its newest ruler, pockets of winter begin to grow throughout the Inner Sea region. After 1,400 years of perpetual winter, the icy curse of Irrisen is spreading! What links do these strange blizzards and swaths of wintry landscapes have with Irrisen, and is there any truth to the growing rumors that the Witch Queen Elvanna has taken full control of the realm? Can her plans for the Inner Sea be thwarted, or will the Reign of Winter engulf the world?

As it happens, I have another 5E character that I built for a campaign that fell apart before it even really got off the ground. Converting him to Golarion would be a simple matter of changing his deity to Sarenrae, which would be a pretty good fit for him. Stats might need adjustment too, since he was a rolled character.
He's a happy-go-lucky, optimistic wandering cleric. I bet he'd be a good fit for the campaign, though of course I speak with no knowledge beyond what's been seen so far. ;)
Let me know what you think.

Alright, here's Helen's replacement. I do have a request: would it be acceptable to have a quarterstaff (taken as a starter equipment option) with a holy symbol mounted on the end of it? For a casting-focused cleric, I like the mental image of walking around with a symbol-tipped staff that I point at the targets of my spells, and I don't think it'd affect action economy or anything compared to carrying a mace and having the usual symbol-on-a-necklace arrangement. Would that be acceptable? If not, I'll just keep the usual crossbow.
EDIT: Oh, also, should I be leveling him up to 2nd?
male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller
1: I have no issue with the staff/symbol.
2: Yep, level 2.

Oh, hey, do we level up now? I only ask because my 2nd level channel divinity could get all of the survivors on their feet, rather than needing to wait 1d4 hours.
male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller
Yeah, that was...brutal. I recall people b#%!~ing about 5e not being deadly. Those of you still up can level up now. You will not gain HP's or the used spell slots without a rest however. but can use any new slots you get.
Basically, that should have cleared the lodge out. with three of you left up, you can search it and secure the place. the doors bolt with heavy bars, so you will not be caught by surprise baring some sneaky secret door or claiming down the fireplace or something.
As for jack,he has not posted in a while I will IM him, but as of now he looks to be dead.

Now that Vic has HP he can also level up. He also regains consciousness. I also totally spoiled surprise for us, by being loud. But I couldn't resist the whole DBZ ki charge yell. It's the first time my character has used this power, so it should be a cool moment.

I think Kat is leveled now. Went with Hex for her new spell with Agonizing blast and Devil's sight for her invocations.
I went with the "avg (5) plus Con" for her new hps. If I need to roll or we were doing something other, let me know. :)
male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller
You can roll or take avg. But if you roll and roll under Avg you are stuck with it.

Yeah, the way we've been rolling, I'll stick with avg. :P

Vic is leveled - added Cunning Action and took the average (5+2 Con) HP. I will also waste a HD on the short rest we are taking.

Wait, you want all of us perma dead people to make new characters? I know we are dead dead, but we have to right new hooks and stuff to tie our characters together. I forgot about posting after I was unconscious, since the character was active in combat. Anyway, I could write a new character to tie into the story, but I can't promise you it would be well done, or a new personality, which is what DMs look for.

I'm guessing I'm tied up in another room. Would I be gagged as well? Trying to determine whether calling out after hearing the commotion of the battle would be "Is anyone there?" or "Grmmrph!"
EDIT: Also, would I be at full health and such, since I've probably been here overnight and thus had a long rest?

You know, I just remembered that the worship of Sarenrae is illegal in Taldor, seeing as its the religion of the Qadirans. The two countries have a back and forth crusade thing going on. Although, it's supposed to mostly be a cold war at the moment.
male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller
That...is an excellent point. I did not recall that myself. Characters in game would know this, so we may have to work something out.

In fact, in retrospect, I don't remember why I didn't start with Nethys in the first place...

No one is saying that you can't use Sarenrae, Arannis. It's just a thing to consider that your character might not be so open about it to strangers.

Yeah, but I picture this character as an open sort of guy, not interested in hiding things. That clashes pretty hard with the Sarenrae thing, so I'd rather retcon the deity choice if possible.

I figure that we don't need to do this in character, but now that we're back in the cabin, can we figure out/ distribute our loot? I'd like to see what sort of armor that cleric was wearing. There were also a few chests, right?
Here's a quick copy/paste of the loot so far. I might be missing the stuff he cleric had specifically.
* 1 gold ingot engraved with the Taldan royal seal
* a spyglass
* a silver lady's ring
* three shards of tiger's eye gemstones
* a fine pair of leather riding boots of elven make
* a silver dagger
* a leather portfolio containing several pieces of parchment,including a scroll of cure wounds, unseen servant and animate dead.
small chest: Hide
* Three sets of garments
* a belt pouch with 25 sp
* Some kind of potion
off the bodies: Hide
* 6 gp
* 82 sp
* 15 cp

Thanks for compiling the list Raygun!
Seeker, can you let us know what the cleric had on his body?
Fellow party members: Barl can hold a ton of weight due to his frost giant (goliath) heritage. Does anyone need me to carry anything?
I'm guessing either Tursk or Arranis should take the scrolls since they can use them, right?
Would it make sense for either Jack or Vic to take the silver dagger?

We should be able to identify the potion just by briefly sipping it according to the DMG.
I think we need intelligence tests to appraise the value of the other items. Probably best to do that on the discussion thread.
The ring might belong to Lady Argentea.

As far as gold, we wait till we get to town, as we don't know how much the gems are worth then we can divide it up all at once.
