also i think I am leaning toward black blood bloodline.

Here is Kavalina up for consideration.

Need background but would like to play this guy.

drbuzzard,

Go ahead and look over this character. Very basic Shield Fighter taken from the Strategy Guide. Think of him as a broken hearted soldier trying to find his place in the world.

Thanks!

Bump to get more applicants in the pool. :)

Second darkness is a hard sell for some reason. Ithink it's a great ap

Wait a minute. I need to be a gestalt rogue? What the crap is that?

Just Lol'ed and sprayed my coffee on my desk and computer when I looked out the name of the previous poster.

Not very good when you are at work and supposed to be serious. ^^

Gestalt is a rule from 3.5 Unearthed Arcana. In gestalt what you do is take 2 classes and combine them in such a way that the best stuff is added in.

So if you make a gestalt fighter/rogue

You would get
1d10 for your HD since it is better of the two.
BAB +1
+2 reflex, +2 fortitude (best from each)
Bonus feat (from fighter)
sneak attack 1d6 (from rogue)
trapfinding (from rogue)

One more thing in the way of rules, Core spells are all OK, spells from beyond core are going to be subject to my approval. There's so many spells floating around out there, I'm not overly of the opinion that all are balanced. Seems that every book they put out (splat or hardcover) has a spell section and I don't thing the balance team really takes a good look.

Spells for classes introduced past core can be taken from the book in which they were introduced without restriction (so for example an Occult class would have access to spells in the Occult book).

Well now I have to edit my spell selection.

That is a fantastic idea...im totally using that next time i start a game.

Oops, also forgot to say no Leadership feat. Moot point at this level, but I don't want people to plan ahead to pick it up.

Hi - dotting - what's the close date/time for applications, please?

It is addressed in the initial post.

Sorry about your coffee, desk, and computer. At least it did not come out your nose. This is what happens when you figure out a name for a character while in the shower.

Thanks for the reply. What about skill points? Rogue is better than fighter.

You get rogue skill points. It's always the better feature of the two.

Everyone gets to be a skill monkey here.

I would really enjoy playing in "second darkness" I have been waiting to see how many games I am in before I applied, don't want to be in too many ;)

I like to play skill and melee characters, with rogue gestalt and already many melee characters I decided to do a chart to see who was posting what.

I am thinking about a Halfling conman, either a sorcerer or bard, I will come to a decision and post him soon, thanks for running the game drbuzzard!

Minigm=vuvu=dwarfus

An Eldritch Archer Kensai Magus gesalted w/Rogue is forming under this alias

oops, I will put Wulfgar to work fixing that right now...

I was like 'this Vuvu dude totally stole MiniGM's idea!'

Okay I think I be done.

This is RH's character, went with an Oracle/Rogue, he's a native of Riddleport, I will have his backstory, personality and description up soon.

It would appear no one else is interested

I should think 11 is enough to consider, but I will leave recruitment open for the full week.

I'm pretty interested. SD is the one with drow, right? I might make an elf.

Yes. It's about the Drow and some nefarious plot of their. Don't want to be spoiling it for yinz.

Don't worry, haven't read it, just seen the covers. I kind of want to do an elven ranger into Lantern Bearer, but it has a heck of a lot of overlap with rogue, so it might not be the best move I could do.

Synthesist works really well in tandem with rogue, so that might be an idea.

Likewise, we have little in the way of divine casters, so maybe there's something there. Druid is similar to synthesist in the natural weapon aspects, so it might make for an interesting idea. It mixes well with rogue too.

No prestige classes allowed.

Synthesist summoner not allowed. (unchained summoner only, and those take none of the archetypes)

Also, if someone starts making a druid designed to have piles of limbs with a goal of tons of attacks, they will not be selected. If someone goes that way after being in the game, I will find a way to plant them.

Hmm... interesting. I want in on this with an unlettered arcanist. Alas that the rogue part of the gestalt can't take archetypes; I plan on going support and battlefield control, and I'd trade away sneak attack for carnivalist in a heartbeat. For the future, if we get a familiar from two places in the gestalt, like the advanced rogue talent and the unlettered arcanist feature, do they stack?

Drow, the fun kind of elves that want to enslave us all. :)

For what it is worth Hyder's backstory, though thin, very thin is completed.

In path of a major storm, may lose internet over the weekend.

whelp i guess today is the the day.

mainly just making a post so its easy for everyone to find the thread.

Good thing someone was paying attention to the deadline. Guess I better get to picking. Were I a lazy git, I'd just run two tables so I wouldn't have to.

Chain Challenge is banned. Sap adept and Sap master are banned.
No evil alignments
HP are PFS style so 1/2 max +1.
unchained summoners only
Paizo Pathfinder only (don't go digging back in 3.5 stuff)
I am not going to stack...

I am Interested, but I only have a 2nd level druid and a first level kitsune sorcerer.

Its not PFS, just PFS style for HP

Yes, this is just a 'home game' on pbp not PFS. The use of gestalt should be a pretty clear flag that way.

Liberty's Edge

Wasn't able to finish my Cleric of Besmara on time, and I will have to bow out. Good luck everybody, and I hope you all have a great game.

I will announce the 6 come tomorrow.

works for me, off to play PFS right now!

Hooray!!! :)

Just noticed this, and wish to be considered, but I will need until late monday to have something done up due to working this weekend.

Edit, NM, I just saw that you were choosing tomorrow. :(

The six are:

Kronug the Kellid
Sileth
Hyder Troseddol
Marckus
Dwarfus Maximus
Nivea Formen (though your point buy is incorrect, you only spend 17 points, you can have a 14 con).

Thank you all for your submissions.

Chosen should proceed to discussion and gameplay.

OK, had a player have to bail due to life reasons. He was the oracle(life)/rogue and rather needs to be replaced.

If people are interested in joining, the party needs someone who can fill the healer slot (and he was also a face to a good extent). Same rules are before, but now you're 2nd level. As it is ABP (heavy) I'm not going to bother adjusting the starting gold much. Call it 300 GP.

Liberty's Edge

Maybe I can finish my Besmara Cleric...

give it a shot

SPECIAL ABILITIES
=================================================
Aura (Ex) A cleric of a chaotic, evil, good, or lawful deity has a particularly powerful aura corresponding to the deity's alignment (see the detect evil spell for details).

Aura of Chaos (Ex) You project a moderate chaotic aura.

Bonus Feat Humans select one extra feat at 1st level.

Channel Positive Energy

Channel Positive Energy (Su) You can unleash a wave of positive energy. You must choose to deal 1d6 points of positive energy damage to undead creatures or to heal living creatures of 1d6 points of damage. Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a DC 13 Will save to halve the damage. You can use this ability 5 times per day.

Charming Blessed with good looks, you've come to depend on the fact that others find you attractive. You gain a +1 trait bonus when you use Bluff or Diplomacy on a character that is (or could be) sexually attracted to you, and a +1 trait bonus to the save DC of any language-dependent spell you cast on such characters or creatures.

Heart of the Sea Humans born near the sea are always drawn to it. They gain a +2 racial bonus on Profession (sailor) and Swim checks, and these are always class skills for them. They can hold their breath twice as long as normal, and spellcasters gain a +4 racial bonus on concentration checks when attempting to cast spells underwater.

Humanoid Traits (Ex) Humanoids breathe, eat, and sleep.

Orisons You can prepare a number of orisons, or 0-level spells. These spells are cast like any other spells, but they are not expended when used and may be used again.

Sea-Souled (Coastline or Island) You are at home at sea. You receive a +1 trait bonus on Swim checks, and you can always take 10 while Swimming.

Seize the Initiative (Su) Whenever you and your allies roll for initiative, you can grant one ally within 30 feet the ability to roll twice and take either result. This decision is made before results are revealed. You can use this ability 5 times per day.

Spontaneous Casting You can channel stored spell energy into healing spells that you did not prepare ahead of time. You can "lose" any prepared spell that is not an orison or domain spell in order to cast any cure spell of the same spell level or lower (a cure spell is any spell with "Cure" in its name).

Sudden Shift (Sp) In the blink of an eye, you can appear somewhere else. As an immediate action, after you are missed by a melee attack, you can teleport up to 10 feet to a space that you can see. This space must be inside the reach of the creature that attacked you. You can use this power 5 times per day.

Two-Weapon Fighting You can spend any number of stamina points to reduce the penalty from Two-Weapon Fighting on attacks made with a weapon in your primary hand by 1 for every 2 stamina points you spent. This benefit lasts until the start of your next turn. You can't reduce the penalty below 0.

That works.
