We are technically now at APL 2.5, which allows you, the players, the option of high or low tier. A decision must be made. I would probably recommend low, due to the fact we have 3 level 1's, but it is at party discretion.

EDIT: You get to choose to round up or down. Round down, low tier no adjust. Round up, APL 3, high tier with 4 player adjustment.

I am fine with either up or down.

I have played this adventure at high tier in standard face-to-face with a pregen--so I know some of those fights can be tough. But I also know that the higher level PCs played down in the prior scenario and would likely appreciate an opportunity for challenge/gold. So, I am good with the party consensus.

(Plus, I kind of feel bad for somewhat inadvertently messing up the party's plans in our audience before Torch at the end of the last scenario, so I am fine with having Farzinel the Learned having to learn a few more lessons!)

Seriously, by playing up, the burdens mostly fall on the higher level PCs. They seem to be leaning towards down. Each of the level 1s acknowledge that the decision for up may well be fatal to the PC and they each voted for up anyways. However, a dead or dying PC--even a level 1 one--only adds to the burden on the level 2+ PCs. Thus, I really think they should make the final call.


All the 1's say up, which is 3, so if any of the top say up, we are up.

Haha, OK. if we've all played this before then I'll work on this, since it's really Ahkenethys's thing. He's the egghead archeologist that the action hero archeologist brings along to read the hieroglyphics and figure out the puzzles.

I've played this, I've ran it, and I remember enough. Same goes for part 3.


When I played this IRL, I literally just knocked it. And the guy was like... "WHO PREPARES KNOCK?" And all pissed because I just ignored the puzzle that he was so happy about.
