Information overload! So many things to learn and remember... the equipment list is crazy. Its interesting how the did the weapons and armor though. I'm so used to a few 'tiers' of regular armor and weapons and then just magical/material enhancements. Now its just straight up better and better weps and armors!

Doh! *slaps palm on his forehead* How did we not notice it for so long... :)
By the way, for the purpose of party balance, I do have a vesk solarian waiting backstage in case that would fit the party better.

Looks like I'll be sticking with Ehdd here. I had some thoughts on a simple fighter type lizard guy but hell, if I don't enjoy Ehdd I can always redo him at 3XP. Won't know till I try. And I'm sure we'll all learn a ton of what we can and can't do in three adventures till then!
I must admit though that Ehdd dances vs singing. I don't have the heart nor the head to think up songs to sing in game. But I can imagine some sweet ass dance moves!

Classic Faraeon! You always open the stage with a strong post that makes me want to game! You still get co pilot seat but you're my gaming buddy for life!

Pics or it didn't happen! :) But really, Ehhd, you do have the whole library of a certain human from pre-gap era to refer to for lyrics. :p
Anyway, with Ehdd likely taking on the captain role in a starship, I readjusted Poppilo's character sheet somewhat so that he could do some gunnery.
So if we do have a starship, likely roles seem to be:
Captain: Ehdd
Pilot: Swirzs
Engineering: 0689
Main gunner: Faraeon
Secondary gunner: Poppilo (and not a very good one!)
Science is actually still short, and if necessary, I can rejig Poppilo to cover that instead. Whichever options would fit his background.

Just back from a weekend of tough sailing (high winds and high waves).
I was looking at the technomancer anyway, so Science is covered.

Haha! Glad I could get a good post in there to set the right tone for Faraeon, and I'm happy to play the Chewie to your Han anytime, bud!

GM, the Welcome to Starfinder Boon has been released. You can find it here.
| Starfinder GM Red |
Yup! I technically have to provide you all with one of those sheets but I won't have time to play with chronicles today - please choose one anyway. I'll get you those sheets this weekend.

I'll take the Tattoo of the Starfinder.

I haven't yet read over the different factions within Starfinder we can be part of so whatever I've got in my header is just a placeholder. I'll get through them this weekend.
Also, do they have faction cards like PFS?

Your mind is a cold steel trap when it comes to scraps of
information about the creatures you’re tracking down. Choose
a specific sentient creature that you can identify by name, alias,
or specific identity to be your mark. Reduce the DC of Culture
or Profession (bounty hunter) checks to recall knowledge about
your mark, as well as to recall knowledge about law-enforcement
individuals and practices, by 5. If you choose a mark that is
known only by an alias or secret identity, this ability helps you
learn facts only about the identity you know about, not any
other unknown identities. Once you defeat your mark, as an
action that takes 1 minute, you can study dossiers and database
information about another individual to be your new mark. You
can instead abandon your mark for a new one without defeating
it, but if you do so, you take a –2 penalty to all skill checks for 1
week. Survival is a class skill for you, though if it is a class skill
from the class you take at 1st level, you instead gain a +1 bonus
to Survival checks. In addition, you gain an ability adjustment of
+1 to Constitution at character creation.
That is what I mean buy assigning this guy as a mark. Right now all I know him as is the hacker.
Not sure if I can use my profession in place of culture, but it still reduces the DC by 5 either way.
| Starfinder GM Red |
Sounds good. If I'm understanding right, you'd roll Culture or Profession (BH) when you encounter the hacker to be able to learn more about them?
Zero-Six-Eight-Nine
|
That's what I would understand. Instead of a physical or life science. I would roll a profession bounty hunter. And it only works for the target that I specified as a mark or target.
With questions pertaining to law enforcement individual and practices, it would still be a culture check, just reducing the DC by 5. Which us pointless at this level anyway since it is trained only and I did not put a rank in it.

Hey... I am following you guys around because I have been assigned to GM this for SkalCon, and this is a painless and fun way to learn a scenario.
Hmm

They're wearing flight suits, I just couldn't find much when I googled Space Thug, so I chose what looks like a Starcraft Marine. :P

Ah. Misunderstood the rules. I thought the smoke provides total concealment (like in PFS), but it seems it only provides partial concealment, and hence we can see the guards and vice versa? Looks like Poppilo wasted his spell then because the guards obviously have no need to come out from the smoke. :( Oh well, chalk that up to a lesson on the differences between the systems.
| Starfinder GM Red |
I'd be perfectly fine with you keeping the spell and just using that turn as a move action only. We're all new at this!
Poppilo Moraeme
|
Hmm I'm reading the section on Ready, and it seems that unlike in PF, there's no mention that you actually start casting the spell when you ready it. Only that you choose what action to take e.g. cast a spell, when a trigger occurs. If the trigger doesn't happen, then you don't take that action. So it seems the spell slot won't be consumed. Is my interpretation sound?
| Starfinder GM Red |
I think that interpretation of the rules makes sense, though I reckon that particular point will become contested as more games are played and we'll soon see it in the FAQ.

Hey guys, the SRD is out!
| Starfinder GM Red |
Nice!
Btw the way I saw it was if someone was just standing in a cloud of smoke, I doubt they'd just chill and keep firing their pistol from it, so I chose to make them move ahead. They aren't mindless skeletons after all :P

No we would need to be Eox to encounter those :P

Now I have to build my character sheet. What do you call a person who's profession is making tea? 'Tea Connoisseur'?

HAHAHAHA that is how Ratatatat got his name. He fires words out like a automatic pulse rifle!

Man! This idea of the Grav-Runs is really starting to give me an itch to home-brew some rules for the sport. Maybe even a couple feats for characters like Faraeon that help overcome some of the challenges of different gravitational effects.

FYI friends, I have been blessed/cursed with a trainee at work until at least mid October. So on the days I work, I will be posting once in the evening when I get home. On days off, it should be like normal.

Alright guys, we're still a few weeks out from wrapping up GD6's first session, but feel free to roll for your Official SFS Gameday 6 Player Boon now!
Roll a d20. If you get a 19 or 20, you've won! Roll a d2 to see which boon you will get.
