Almost done tweaking. Still working on background.
Briefly, Kurgan comes from the Mindspin Mountain region, from a prosperous merchant family. Kurgan, as the oldest, didn't want to follow the family business. Against his fathers wishes, he learns from a gruff ranger how wide the outside world is.
Suffice to say, Kurgan's father "bought" him off, forcing Kurgan to relinquish any futher claim to the family. His price was to inherit his great-grandfathers heirloom waraxe, named Vengryn (dwarvish for "Vengeance") and his armor (the family had to fight to help claim the hold in the Mindspin Mountains, but put away the weapons to trade with local communities).
Anyhoo, I hope to finish him soon. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Kerak is an orphan, driven from the city due to his mixed heritage. When he found he had the ability to train crabs, he appointed himself the Crab King, teaching giant crabs to attack and then sparring with them. He prefers eating fish and spending his days swimming and brawling with his pet crab named Grip. He also likes to fight pirates or ill-intentioned sea creatures as he comes across them. Finally, now and then he likes to visit town, bartering sea fare for things like spears and patches for his hides. But mostly he enjoys town for the chance to grab an ale and remind everyone that he is, without doubt, the Crab King.

So I might be pulling this early due to an overwhelming response and lots of nice backgrounds. Here is where we stand so far:
- Zhang Hong, Human Ninja (saved spot)
- Nar'a, Human Witch
- Zenovia, Human Oracle (Life)
- Liu, Human Monk
- Saif, Human Cleric of Sarenrae
- Titinambule, Gnome Illusionist
- Galt, Kobold Fighter
- Cedric, Half-Elf Alchemist
- (DblGold), Anumus
- Sativon, Halfling Rogue (trapsmith)
- Burma, Half Orc Scarred Witch Doctor
- Kerak, Half Orc Barbarian
- Dacar, Dwarf Alchemist
- Kurgan, Dwarf Ranger (Skirmisher)
- Kror, Dwarf Ranger (Dungeon Rover)
- Boshak, Dwarf Bard
So at this point, we stand at 16 entries I believe. So, the big reveal... I am going to be making this mostly about Rise of the Runelords, but I am adding in elements of Second Darkness, perhaps even the entire scenario depending on how far we get. On top of that, I will be including excerpts from different modules as well, giving those who aren't on the path a way to keep up with the rest.
I plan on making a full campaign of this. So I am probably going to make two groups, as I mentioned earlier. This is what I have in mind:
First group, Rise of the Runelords, et al.
- Zhang Hong, Human Ninja (saved spot)
- Nar'a, Human Witch
- Zenovia, Human Oracle (Life)
- Liu, Human Monk
- Saif, Human Cleric of Sarenrae
- Galt, Kobold Fighter
- Kerak, Half Orc Barbarian
- Cedric, Half-Elf Alchemist
Second group, Second Darkness, et al.
- Dacar, Dwarf Alchemist
- Kurgan, Dwarf Ranger (Skirmisher)
- Kror, Dwarf Ranger (Dungeon Rover)
- Boshak, Dwarf Bard
- Titinambule, Gnome Illusionist
- Sativon, Halfling Rogue (trapsmith)
- Burma, Half Orc Scarred Witch Doctor
- (DblGold), Anumus
All of you will start in Sandpoint and there is nothing saying you can't change groups, but my idea was that the first group are mostly denizens of Sandpoint and its environs whereas the second were a group of dungeoneers sent on another quest from Janderhoff that just happen to be passing through Sandpoint...
Let me know your thoughts, but at this point, I am closing the recruitment unless someone can convince me otherwise...

DM ShadowBloodmoon |

As I said, the groups may change after the first events in sandpoint and yes, the second group would know each other. Their quest will be a sort of 'do this please, but if you don't someone else will and that's okay' kind of thing.
Edit: If no one objects, I'll be putting up the discussion and gameplay threads tonight.

Son anyone for switchups before he makes the gameplay threads?

Saif al-Din of the Fiery Sun |

Well, you missed Cleric in your class breakdown for Saif, but that is fine n_n
Also, Saif may, around level 6 at the earliest, take the prestige class Divine Scion, just a heads up. Nothing solid, but possible.

Kror Stormshield |

I am just working on inputting characters into hero lab and starting the Discussion Thread and the Gameplay thread right now...
Once I finish the characters, I will note any discrepencies I find in the discussion thread. Thank you D-Kal for starting that...
Those of us who use hero lab could send you our files directly if it would save you time.

You could try with me, but I have 3rd party stuff, unless it has 3rd party or something that says custom

Well, with two rangers in the 2nd group (both dwarves, mind you!) Kurgan is OK to switch to the RotRL group.

Kror Stormshield |

Kurgan, not to quibble, but I already asked that Kror wind up in the Runelords group (partially because our two dwarven rangers will start out very similar mechanically, but mainly because Kror's specifically intended to be a giant-fighting build - even going Skyseeker for that purpose). It sounds like the initial groups are just basically those who are from Sandpoint vs. those who aren't and we'll be able to switch easily enough once things get started.

@ Kane Hune
Just a precision, I'm not a Wizard, but a sorcerer. That doesn't really matter for the game.^^
@ DM ShadowBloodmoon
It's ok for me. Never play this campaign too. If my character isn't already in hero lab, you can change it as I'm saying (CHA 16, excitable remplace by campaign trait Eager performance, perform instead of profession).
Thank you very much to manage all of us.

You did...I remembered seeing that later on after I posted, of course. Sorry about that!
You and I seem to have similar ideas for our characters. Since I'm still working on background, would you be interested in merging our stories a bit? I understand if not. Just a thought.

Kror Stormshield |

It's fine by me. Kror doesn't have a really in-depth background anyhow. He's just a young dwarf who doesn't want to get married and settle down just yet. Going adventuring sounds way more fun, and "looking for a sky citadel" seemed like a great way to get away with doing what he wants for a few more years.
