Liu Feng is a foreigner in a foreign land, exiled from the distant kingdom of Quain - Land of a Thousand Heroes - within the lands of Tian Xia. The proud warrior carried the blood of dragons, their strength coursing his veins. His family's progenitor was rumored to be an imperial dragon that passed on the ancient martial arts style that is practiced by his family to this day. He studied this style as a child, read the doctrine of Irori, and performed the duties required of his household. It was at the Dragon Temple in Quain that he met his fate. During a martial arts tournament, where the various styles of the zodiac were being practiced, he accidentally slayed a fellow competitor. For his crimes he was banished from Quain with a bitter blood feud left between his family and that of the competitor he killed.

His journey was long, hard, and arduous as he traveled the Crown of the World to Avistan. The long journey led him to the Land of the Linnorm Kings where he began a pilgrimage, vowing to find redemption through action. He devoted his life to spiritual piety and physical perfection, continuing to practice his martial arts as he traveled northern Avistan. He traveled through Irrisen, traveling by riverway, through the Kodar Mountains into Varisia. It was there he traveled with a caravan of Varisians, reaching Riddleport where he booked passage to Magnimar by ship. From there he wandered, reaching the coastal town of Sandpoint by foot.

The Tian man is no doubt an oddity within the town, having arrived by whim. He had decided to let the winds take him where he goes. Despite his path of redemption, he has developed as an introvert which is not improved upon by his status as a foreigner. He seeks work, enough to pay for humble meals and to reach his next destination... Wherever it may lead him.
