Slaynn pants from the exertion. His body starting to feel the strain of forcing his body through past its limits. Taking a deep breath,
"You're welcome Pants Is there anyone else hurt?"
Turning to his companions, taking a deep breath to steady himself.
"We should see about lending aid to the others survivors of this raid and get some answers too. During my time with the timberwolf clan, goblins were often seen but I've not seen them actually go on an attack like this unless they're certain to be outnumbering this village by a large amount."

Uuli |

Uuli helps the man out from behind the rock.
"Glad to see you are OK. Not everybody will be so fortunate, though. Start checking on people you know and call out if you see more goblins."
Uuli nods his head in agreement with Slaynn "Yes, we should make sure that the attack is as finished as it appears."
With that, Uuli starts looking around the area and examining the bodies of the goblins.

Master Dungeoneer |
I will only be able to get back to running sporadically...
The guards are all taking care of all the goblins... and sadly there are a few townsfolk among the dead...
The nobleman focuses on Qorinae, speaking directly to him.
"I would have shown them what-for if I had my sword on hand.... well... I must go and compose myself....Meet me at the Rusty dragon sometime in the next few days... before I must go on my way... I will try to reward you as best I can...."

Qorinae |

REWARD! Qorinae looks like a hound that has caught a scent for a moment.
"Of course, of course. Killing goblins works up a powerful thirst," he says, doing his best to maintain his composure. "When you tell the tale of your adventure, remember the name of Qorinae."

![]() |

Slaynn, now sober, with sorrow in his heart, helps in laying out the dead to be claimed. Not knowing any rituals beyond his tribe's, he knows he can offer little comfort. Lending his back to the needs of getting the town put back together, he does so though he feels no joy upon looking on the remains what should have being a joyous festival.
Speaking to his companions as he works through the aftermath.
"What plans have we now, friends? Do we hunt those little blighters down or do we do something else?"
Te male greenskins će osjećati gnjev posjetio na njih deset puta veći od onoga što su doveli. I Slaynn govorio.
Those little greenskins shall feel wrath visited upon them ten times greater than what they have brought. I Slaynn have spoken.

Uuli |

"Well, I say we meet the man. Ridding the world of goblins is its own reward but some coin also helps. In the meantime, I will help the survivors with their needs."
Uuli pats himself about the body. "I've had easier days, but I think I will live. Do any of you have injuries I can't see?"

![]() |

Slaynn shakes his head in the negative.
"Uuli, Do your wounds still pain you? I'm afraid I have no such skills in healing to aid you but perhaps, you might wish to find a healer? I believe there was one but I do not see him again."
Slaynn finishes as he makes his way to Uuli.
If there is nothing else the party can do to help, I suggest we go see the man about the reward.

Uuli |

Uuli responds, "I'll live, don't you worry about that. I just want to make sure nobody else is gravely wounded or needs healing worse than I."
Mostly agree about seeing the man, just one thing I want to do first. The helping survivors is mostly RP.
Uuli searches the battlefield and the goblin bodies for clues about why they attacked. If he finds any goblins still alive, he fixes that problem.

Qorinae |

"There were hordes of them, I tell you, more than I could count," Qorinae announces as they come into the tavern. "A pint of ale, please. There's nothing to fear now, though. We've driven the monsters off."
He strides towards the bar, surveying the room, trying to see if anyone's impressed, wondering if that little redhead is anywhere to be found.

Slaynn is impressed, he hadn't counted as he was a little busy then. The truth would be he never learnt exactly how to count beyond the number if his fingers. He figured he'll learn it later though it seems now would be good.
He looks out among the tavern patrons rrying to spot their would-be benefactor.

Uuli has no ranks in spellcraft, the check should only work if the DC is 10 or less.
Once they get to the tavern, Uuli speaks to his group, "I'm going to order an ale, I think we have earned it today. Let me know if you see the man."
Meanwhile, Uuli tries to look around himself.

Tiberiu Banderosi |

Tiberiu chuckles as he trails the others in. "Yes, yes, all in a day's work for heroes, eh?" he says, with a wink at a pretty serving maid. Swiping a flagon from her tray, he tosses a coin at the barkeep. "Let's have some music for the conquerors!"

Master Dungeoneer |
The barroom is empty, except for the bartender... she glares at the braggards walking into the room. sure, they helped people... but her sister had died in the attack.
"What would you all like?" she asks in a very negative tone.
the possible benefactor is nowhere to be seen
people are not happy that their joyous occasion got screwed up.

![]() |

Sense Motive 1d20 ⇒ 13
Noticing the rather quiet atmoshpere, Slaynn tries his best to bring in Tiberiu though he knows it's already too late.
"Umm Tiberiu...Perhaps now may not be the time to be so joyous and celebrate just yet...in fact...never mind....My apologies barkeep....my friend here just seemed to have forgotten himself."
Diplomacy 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Floundering as he tries to make apologies and seeming to make it worse, Slaynn looks over to his companions hoping they might help him out of his plight. This wasn't an area he excelled in. Extending his arm, he attempts to pull his companion back.

Uuli |

Seeing the tavern empty, it is easy to pick out the bartender. Hearing her speak, he tries to help the situation.
"We are from out of town and have nowhere else to go. For now, some ale and a quiet table would be appreciated."
Diplomacy1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
Uuli doesn't think he helped anything but he is not sure if he made the situation worse.

Qorinae |

"Ale," Qorinae says softly, noticing the grim atmosphere in the tavern. He frowns and speaks slowly, thoughtfully - which may be a first for him. "Our blood is hot from battle still. I beg your forgiveness for forgetting the cause of that battle. We are allies to the good people of Sandpoint, and we would be your friends."
Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 18

Tiberiu Banderosi |

I do not have a good record when it comes to dramatically bursting into taverns, Tiberiu reflects ruefully. He clears his throat, shuffling his feet. "The elf speaks rightly, Madame. If I may, ah...I apologize. For my conduct." He drops his head, and awkwardly avoids her gaze.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Too late, he realizes it would probably be more tactful to just keep his mouth shut...

Master Dungeoneer |
Tiberiu, do you want to make that a running gag?
Through all of your floundering Qorinae's voice straightens out the ruffle in hers. "Take the table by the fire... And, I do appreciate what you all have done for our town...but," she says, choking down tears... and disappears into the back of the tavern to get drinks.

![]() |

Slaynn smacks Tiberiu upside the head.

Tiberiu Banderosi |

"Ow! No need for that," Tiberiu grumbles, rubbing his head gingerly. "I was taking my lead from Braggart McElfpants here. Not my fault he can't fully commit to the performance..." His grin takes the sting out of his words as he sits at the table the barkeep indicated.
I do feel bad. Maybe I can find something to do for this poor woman to make up for my callousness.

Qorinae |

Qorinae seems startled that she accepted his apology, but was not one to question good fortune. He sits at the table by the fire and stretches his feet out to warm them. When he feels sure that nobody's listening, he leans over and whispers to Tiberiu.
"For the love of Desna, don't call me that in public. I don't want to become famous under a false name!" he says softly. When the bartender returns with their drinks, he speaks a bit louder. "Perhaps there is more we can do to aid the good people of Sandpoint."

![]() |

Slaynn takes his seat and then grins.
"Do we drink again?"
A rather not so subtle reminder of what happened the last time they drank.

Tiberiu Banderosi |

"It would seem...we do." Tiberiu says quietly, accepting the mug from the barkeep. "Please, madame," he adds, "if there is anything we can do to assist you in the future, to thank you for your hospitality, let us know."
Diplomacy:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
@Master Dungeoneer, I only just saw your ooc question above...and I'm always up for a little levity in my roleplaying. XD

Qorinae |

"Perhaps with a bit more restraint than this afternoon," Qorinae says to Slaynn, and takes a moderate sip.
"I would not trouble you overmuch at such a time," he says to the innkeeper. "But I confess I have an appetite. If there is food prepared, I would be grateful, or whatever is simple."
"I would also ask, if I may, your name, and your sister's, so that we can pay her proper respects." He shoots a warning glance at Tiberiu. "I am Qorinae, of Mierani, and my friends are Slaynn, Tiberiu, and Uuli."

![]() |

Slaynn nods as an acknowledgement.

Master Dungeoneer |
A huge orcish man brings out a huge platter of pork and veal, These made for party. he says, and sets his hand on the crying woman's shoulder.
The woman sniffles and introduces herself as Akira Omero, and her sister as Erika...
the both of them retreat into the back of the inn, trying to avoid speaking to you any more than nessicary

Tiberiu Banderosi |

Tiberiu sighs as Akira disappears into the back of the inn, leaning back and stretching his legs out towards the fire, crossing his feet. "Well, that went about as well as I could possibly expect from myself," he says, a touch bitterly. He takes a plate of veal and starts to eat. "So, Qorinae, that man you saved said to meet him here? Wish he'd do us the courtesy of showing up then..."

![]() |

Slaynn speaks to the orcish man as he leads his sister back.
"Žao nam je za život izgubili, ali smo tvrdili ga tri puta.
Molimo Vas da prenesemo naše misli i brige za tvoju sestru."
"We are sorry for the life lost but we have claimed it back threefold.
Please convey our thoughts and concerns to your sister."

Uuli |

Uuli snorts, "Yes, Qorinae, he does seem to be void of the warrior's spirit. I'll say I was impressed with Zantus, though. He is quite the fighter and saved my life to boot. "
In the meantime, Uuli eats the meal that was brought by the man.
Then, out of nowhere, Uuli notices, "It does seem odd that the servers are avoiding us. I understand loss, but the goblins should be blamed, not the people who stopped them."
Sense Motive1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Tiberiu Banderosi |

"Perhaps they don't blame us," Tiberiu muses softly. "They may just be avoiding anyone they associate with violence. If you haven't lived with it your whole life, it could be shocking..."

Master Dungeoneer |
The bar is empty except for your group and the serving people, from what you can tell, are overwhelmed by grief and are not so much blaming you or fearing you as they are upset.
The orcish man nods and disappears into the back of the bar.
The meal is spicy and savory, very juicy and excellently cooked

![]() |

Slaynn settles down to partake of meal and drink while waiting.

Tiberiu Banderosi |

Tiberiu gags on a bone, spits it out, and stares at it distastefully as it lies on the plate. "So what now, gentlemen? We can hardly stay here forever, and our potential benefactor is nowhere to be seen."

![]() |

Slaynn drains a tankard.
"We wait a while more before we go out look for this man then."

![]() |

Slaynn after waiting a while exits the Inn.
"Looks like the man isn't coming out, I had best see to the ouside and see if anyone needs help or something."
Moving out of the Inn, Slaynn expecting a more somber mood among the villagers starts looking to see if anybody else needs help.

The man, who is wearing finely tailored clothes, and brandishing an ebony walking stick with silver handle, smiles at you.
"Amazing, simply amazing. I have never seen anything like it! I do not know how to thank you enough! You simply must join me for dinner tonight! NO, no...I insist! The Rusty Dragon is the Inn I am staying at...filthy run-down place, but at least the food is good.
Meet me there tonight, and I want to hear all about each and everyone of you!"
The foppish man begins to stroll off as if he were just out taking some air in the park. After a few steps he turns back to you. "Oh, by the way, my name is Foxglove. Aldern Foxglove, it is my distinct pleasure, I am sure." He gives you a mock salute and bow, and strolls away without a care in the world back toward the church and the burning cart, which are silhouetted in the darkening sky. It is late evening now, and the celebration is likely ruined, as small fires burn and the wailing of women and children is heard throughout the village.
Take a look at the map of Sandpoint. The initial combat and burning cart would've taken place in the churchyard (the open area around the cathedral). The last fight should've drawn you away from there a bit, towards the North Gate. That is where you stand now.
