Lord Zohan |

Retrieving a tiny bag and a small candle, Lord Zohan begins casting to summon aid.

Lucan Arcaranarian |

Lucan looks up the stairs he's next to and listens to see if he can hear anything.
After that, he moves up behind Serra, still gripping his longsword that he's charged with a chill spell.
First move action: Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 18 (not Lucan's forte)
Second move action degraded from standard: Move to B8

Generally I wait a day unless it's the weekend in that case I wait till Monday night or Tuesday morning. As a note I am often busy on the weekends and cant check as often. I do most of mt Dm-ing while I'm at work cause I have access to a computer the whole time at work and a lot of free time to kill.

Lucan Arcaranarian |

Crap, sorry. I had two threads open, and posted into the wrong one.
I just cut-n-paste the post to the game thread. I cut-n-paste the die result as well; if you want me to reroll over there, let me know and I'll edit the post.

DireMerc |

I guess I was worried for nothing when I tough it might be too much for you.
It's been a while since I ran a higher level game I usually always start at level 1 and most of them end before we get to this point although my worldwound game is at level 5 currently but since I was with them from level 1 I know exactly what they can and cant handle.

Zadderk Crowe |

Okay good! Was wondering. Funny thing, I didn't take haste into account with the rapid reload stuff, so I actually think I shoot 4 times a round, lol.
All this aside, these are undead Ogrekin, so I think we may have to eventually deal with a Sorcerer, Wizard or Necromancer type deal soon. That, or they have a fancy wand we can sell. Strange, considering Ogres are never charismatic or intelligent, lol. These are Ogrekin though, so they're probably a little smarter, or something.

DireMerc |

My fault to an extent I was busy and didn't check in as often as I should have. I will try to keep it going at a good pace from here on out.
As a note if you are waiting for me to post just make a bump in the ooc to get my attention. I am running multiple games and I work and game so sometimes I don't have time to check all of them so I only check the ones that have new posts.
Every couple days I put time aside and I take my time and go trough every game to check were I'm needed.

Zadderk Crowe |

Zadderk will move one space to the right just behind the Hound Archon and will proceed to use it as a hook sponge. If it gets any kind of concealment, ignore it. My bow automatically smacks it regardless.
That said, part of me whimpers in the wee hours of the night at one single thought.
I could have taken Giant's Bane on this thing and it would have made total sense.

Andras Teoss |

Wow, did you guys decide to catch up for a week of not posting in a single day?
At this point, I feel both overprepared and limited in my options. I have a few questions:
Can I use my channel energy ability on the zombies from E7? Or it does not work around corners?
Are the ogrekin really dead or unconscious, I.e. will they be healed by channeling?
Since Lucan is holding the charge of a touch spell, will it go off on me if I use a touch ability on him?

Andras Teoss |

Actually, I answered my first question (a burst does not go around the corners), but I'll rephrase the last one: Will Lucan's touch spell be discharged if I touch his weapon?

Touching youuuuuuuu.
Touching Meheeeeeee.
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Touching him wouldn't remove his touch spell from his sword.
Touching his Sword will remove the charge from the sword as the effect that lets him do such a thing can only hold one at a time, If I recall.
Though if you want to imbue anything with Bonus damage, I've got a crossbow that I'm shooting 4 times a round...

Lucan Arcaranarian |

The weapon holds the charge like a normal touch spell. "Chill Touch" is interesting because it only delivers 1d6 per touch (rather than going up with caster level like most spells), but lets you deliver one touch per level. I've still got 5 touches left on the Chill Touch I cast. Nominally, a successful attack (regular attack, not just touch attack, so there is a bit of a drawback doing it the Magus way) discharges one touch worth, but were I GM I would also rule that if you touch Lucan's sword it would discharge the spell into you.... You can touch him, though. If you're thinking healing, he'd like that a lot! The crit from the Ogrekin was pretty nasty.

Zadderk Crowe |

A positive energy channel either heals the living or harms the undead. If you do channel it will only heal the living for positive hit points, but it won't heal or hurt the undead. If you channel to harm undead, however, you won't heal your allies.
The same way, a Negative channel must heal the undead, or people that can be healed by it, or harm the living.
Given that, I never knew chill touch could be used over and over. My cleric will probably make use of that in the future, lol.

I'm sorry, but a few factors have come up and I don't think this is the pbp for me. You guys are all great but without a live map I'm having trouble. School is piling up. I'm not upset about the intermittant posting but I would be if I were involved.
Most importantly, I can't be our trapfinder. I'm running a RotR campaign and I did not expect them to move along at these speeds. by the time we finish this chapter I may be GMing this book.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Best of luck saving Golarion!

Zadderk Crowe |

Given that circumstance, I say we allow Serra's character to jump ship rather than die. If he does die, Zadderk would probably go the honorable route and send his equipment and remains back to his family. If he does jump ship we don't get into a hubbub over his 8000+ gold. I would prefer his character not due the typical "I'm done adventuring, here, have all my loot" thing, though. We're set as we are.

Andras Teoss |

Sorry Zadderk, but the Blessing of the Law can only be applied to melee weapons!
Goodbye Serra, hope things work out for you at school.
Thanks for resolving my doubt Lucan. I've read so much about healing in combat being the worst thing a cleric could do that I was reluctant to do that. Maybe I should play more and read the boards less.

DireMerc |

Hmm wasn't going to say anything about it but technically Seras should have died to that trap before. The trap is a large scythe that swings down and hits for like 2d6+6 however when I rolled the attack it was a natural 20 wich crit for X4 damage and would have actually killed Seras. I pretended it didn't happen cause I didn't want to kill someone so soon.
So lets just say he did die since he is leaving.
Sorry to see you go Seras. I don't have time to make better maps than crappy paint ones I'm afraid.

Zadderk Crowe |

Umm. Funny story, that, actually.
There's this thing for google chrome where you have a grid overview to look at, and you can post in parts of a game. If you can find the Graul's farm and post it up there, we could use our profile icons as the moving pieces and move them ourselves across the maps as you posted them up.
You could do the same with the Ogres as well, since Paizo pretty much has their stuff everywhere
This works too, though.

Lord Zohan |

Unlike Lord Zohan, I am a nincompoop, so these maps look just fine to me.
I'm in one other PBP that uses "ditzie", which is also pretty easy for me as a player. Open -> Move my icon -> Hit Enter to save -> Copy URL and embed it in my post. However, I have no idea how much work our GM has to put in to make it that easy for me!
Still, I'm always game to learn a new technique.

Haha wammmmmmmmp. I'm actually kind of glad for that. I believe in old-testament GMing in which PCs die when they die. And seriously, don't sweat it about the maps. You do a really good job with pacing here, usually, too. It's also a great group but through it I learned that 5 players in a PBP is beyond my preference.
Best of luck with everything guys!
