Haha, yeah, I glued that magic missile to your bum!
Captain Albrecht
It doesn't have to be A, I just said that because it was the one that shot me. Poor Ivar was hit twice and is about to be surrounded but it is your call benevolent bringer of monkey death.
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
... The monkeys screech and shake their heads in the air, beginning to swoop slowly around Ivar in a circular motion.
are the flying monkeys "swooping" within 10 ft? and if they are when they swoop out does Ivar get an AoO? Albrecht thanks for distracting A!
should have about 18 seconds left on the enlarge,
Rhea Stardust
Um. Shoot. Looks like I made their "swooping" withing 10 feet didn't I. Welp. Bad calculation on the monkey's part. You can have 1 aoo on each one. then the round ends.
Next time you enlarge we should enlarge your icon. You tricked my monkeys! I enlarged you. Map updated.
Rhea Stardust
Ha, looking at the map now your running headlong up the steps makes a LOT more sense!
Tusara Khione
Just realised I was viewing the map as a 2D environment, but its actually a 3D map, with the monkeys flying. This means I can fire off an aerial color spray and hit all of them, without provoking an AoO, or hitting Ivar.
Tusare moves up next to Ivar, and then fires a colorspray upwards in a colorful burst, smoking all three of the flying monkeys where they stand.
Taking this turn AFTER Ivar attacks with his AoOs, so I can better judge where to stand and attack from.
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
Ivar, now bleeding again as the flying monkeys magical attacks reopened all of the newly healed wounds, using his whirling double edged blade Ivar attacks the Flying monkeys as they come within his reach
Blasted monkey know my name; I am Ivar Goldilocks Theodinson

Merelinda Falvian
Well, sorry Ivar, but you're just outside of my move and channel range.
Wincing as the brash Ulfen takes a couple of magical projectiles that look to have taken some of the steam out of him, Merelinda hurries forward, taking aim on the closest monkey-thing to her. She fires!
Crossbow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Bolt: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Rhea Stardust
Havn't you ever seen THE PRINCESS BRIDE? There is a HUGE difference between "Dead" and "Mostly dead!"
First attack, on A, misses.
Second attack, on B, misses.
But the third attack cuts C clean in half.
The other two monkeys look at eachother, somewhat frightened.
Command decision: Enlarge Person spell ends meow.
Then Tusara's color spray goes off. [ooc]I'd have to do triganometry to figure out if you can shoot over Ivars head. So I will take your word for it! On A and B
will save A: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 nighty night
will save B: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 SAVES!
Round 2
Mobutu
Ivar
Julian
Merelinda - crossbow bolt misses
Albrecht
Bayani
Tusara - color sprays A to sleep. (arn't you out of those dam spells yet!? haha!)

MAP UPDATED
Tusara Khione
That was my last Color Spray....but I still have my arcane bond to fire off another one if I need it =]
Also I got the princess bride reference...one of the few people in my generation that is actually aware of that movie lol.
Bayani Nishou
chakram: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 1 = 22
damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 11
Bayani closes to point-blank range with the remaining flyer and sends a whirling disc of death at it!
Moving 30 ft, drawing Chakram as he does so, then attacking from within 30 ft and with a chakram that has a whetstone-sharpened edge.
Rhea Stardust
The chakram kills the final monkey.
END COMBAT.
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
Ivar turns and sets down on one of the stairs, still bleeding from the reopened wounds, looking up and addressing Bayani,
nice throw Bayani
then turning to Tusara smiling slightly he says
well done Tusara, I have never been saved by a sorceress before let alone thrice. We should call you "sleeper" because you hide your skills and that's what you do to your enemies.
monkeys, baboons, flying monkeys, yep thrice
then he nods to Albrecht and said, smiling
Captain I'm not sure its safe to do that to me too often, I felt like a god, it could get addictive.
Lastly he chuckles and looks at Merelinda and her whip
well tripped m'lady, is there anything you can do about this bleeding again? Or would it be in our best interest to wait? either way I need a small break, then I would like to recover the clubs from the three baboons so I have something to throw in case we meet anymore flyers
assuming there are no interuptions
after a little conversation and possible ministrations Ivar will go back down the stairs and place the three baboon clubs in his pack and then return to this location to proceed up the steps.
Bayani Nishou
Bayani will go to the sleeping flyer and ask, "Do we finish this one off?"
The baboons are unconscious down there on the stairs as well.
After the still-living simians are dealth with, Bayani will retrieve his weapons and search the spellcasting apes for anything of use.
Merelinda Falvian
"Perhaps not running ahead of the rest of us would serve to cut down on your wounds." Merelinda admonishes, but reaches out all the same, calling on Calistria to heal the Ulfen of his wounds.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
The priestess then turns to Bayani. "If we think they might willingly give us information on the island, then let's keep one alive. Otherwise, we should ensure they never wake."
Rhea Stardust
On A: one small corked bottle of blue liquid (Potion, Unidentified)
On B: one scroll with strange writings (Scroll, Unidentified)
On C: his staff appears to be MWK quality (MWK staff)
On C: a small brown sack of strange gold coins. The face on the coin is a leering idol of some type. (30 gp)
Bayani Nishou
"I have no idea whether they will or not. I would prefer to end these foul beasts but I am willing to do otherwise if anyone thinks they can make it talk. Whatever we do, we should do it quickly; though we can't see through the fog, the sound of the fight may have carried to other ears. "
If no one else has read magic prepared, Bayani will use it to read the scroll. I think someone probably has de

Tusara focuses on her magic, cleaning her clothes from blood splatter, but nothing happens. Gritting her teeth, Tusara tries again, this time with success, although she still feels slightly tired from the strain. "Minor problem", she mutters "Despite how much you all love my tricks, I fear I'm all out of them for the time being"
Captain Albrecht
Albrecht grins widely at Ivar.
It's great huh? And I can assure you zat zere are no lastink effects, probably. If you aren't supposed to charge in ahead vat is zee great big shield and zee axe for eh?
He claps Ivar on the arm and then sobers up a bit.
Zee last monkey vas uncooperative and zese are harmless now shrugs but vee can't leave zem at our backs.
Merelinda Falvian
Hearing no further comments, and having no actual desire to question the monkeys herself, Merelinda pulls out her knife and starts the grim work of ensuring they make it to whatever passes for monkey heaven.
Turning to Captain Albrecht, she tilts her head, hands on her hips. "Twenty feet in front of us, sure. I can still get to him if I need to. Seventy feet is too far. No matter how hard he swings, if he gets swarmed he will drop like the rest of us."
She passes by the sorceress a little later, whispering in her ear,
She winks at the sorceress and then continues to ascend the structure. Ya know, assuming other people are too. She doesn't go by herself.
Merelinda Falvian
"You are very welcome, big boy." She grins as the big man walks past her, proceeding to call upon Calistria again for her aid. She bites her lip, stifling a moan as she trembles with the divine energy flowing through her.

I am meaning to catch everyone in this, so if you are down HP, please get the channeled amount back.

MAP UPDATED.
You reach the top of the steps. Here there is some kind of covered structure with a golden roof. Peeking in, you see a giant stone idol, in the same shape as the little Jade one Tusara found in the sand yesterday. Before the idol is an alter, stained with blood. To the left of the alter is a big fat treasure chest. To the right is a gorrilla with a spear and a sheild. He wears a steel helmet. He's sleeping and snoring noisily, big fat gorilla fingers laced on his chest.
What do you do?
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
Ivar, seeing no reason to stop now, will attack the Gorrilla
A surprise round will only let me move or attack, are we close enough to attack or just move, either way lets put up a couple of roles to get started
initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
battleaxe attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 for damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Merelinda Falvian
Well, worshipping the goddess of lust, that seems like an appropriate sensation for her channeled energy.
On their way to the summit, Merelinda will reload her crossbow. She moves to near Jask, discretely calling upon her Goddess to help her detect magical auras. She then directs a cone at the elf, attempting to discern any magical effects on him.
Captain Albrecht
That is one deaf gorilla, I bet he is someone's friendly grandpa. Back to killing everything.
Albrecht will cast grease on the spear DC 17 Ref to pick up! if he is within 25ft or move to 25ft away if he is farther.
Tusara Khione
How does Merelinda not have Seductive Channel yet
Ivar I believe you can charge within a surprise round, although for some reason I don't see large gorilla on the map
Rhea Stardust
Ha! I have no desire to roll init again, guys. I need a break:)
Ivar's axe smashes into the Gorilla's armor. He wakes up with a jolt. Grease smears all over his spear tip. He's too surprised to respond! Dropping his spear he falls to his knees and begins to hold his hands over his head to protect himself.
Stop, please stop, hurt Zamoozi not!
Tusara, no map cause I wasn't expecting combat;) But looking back on it now, If i didn't want combat I should have made him holding a rubber ducky instead of a spear!
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
Ok, I'm still just new enough I'm not sure about all the details, can you "coup de grace" a kneeling figure or would it be rolled like an attack?
Ivar not trusting the monkey, kicks him onto his belly and placing his foot on his back and his axe on his neck; Asks
why should I
if the monkey resist, this is the attack
battleaxe attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 for damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Bayani Nishou
"Hold on, Ivar, he's surrendering. Not good form to kill a man... or, well, an ape, after he's surrendered. Besides, he sounds simple." (Simple in the archaic meaning of mentally disabled.)
-Posted with Wayfinder
Merelinda Falvian
"Aw, come on, Ivar, poor Zamoozi was only taking a little nap. He wasn't hurting anybody. And he'll answer all our questions like the good, friendly ape that he is, won't he?" This last question she directs at the gorilla, her smile on display for the...thing.
Rhea Stardust
No kill Zamoozi! No kill Zamoozi! Let zamoozi live. If you let zamoozi live, zamoozi show big hairless ones a secret?
I didn't forget your action checking Jask either! I just have to look up which aura the spell makes.
Rhea Stardust
I always get myself into binds where I narrate a thing I think is cool then some character goes "yeah, but what AUUUUURA does my character detect!?" I guess that's what I get...*naughty Rhea!*
Merelinda Falvian
"Ohhhhh, I LOVE secrets!" Merelinda exclaims. "Actually, I think somebody else needs to show us a secret, first." She turns her crossbow on Jask the friendly elf.
"Alright, friend, you have one opportunity to drop whatever magic you have yourself draped in, or I aim for the heart and sic Bayani on you for good measure. After that we can have a nice conversation before Zamoozi shows us his secret." The woman is actually smiling at all this. It seems she is enjoying the intrigue and game at this point...maybe because she found it out. She also seems very serious about her statement and intentions.
