Daegan Corsmeir |

Sorry for the hold up, guys.
Daegan, not wanting to get in the line of fire, attempts to move forward but finds his progress slowed considerably by the blanketing of snow on the ground. He struggles onward, but takes a momentary break to bless his greatsword. If Daegan ever manages to get to the fight despite this damned snow, he intends to make it quite the reckoning for the Raiders.
Move to Z5 and cast Magic Weapon.

Reign of Winter GM |

Arkady, since the snow is difficult terrain, you cannot normally take a five foot step. I'll allow it this time, though.
The two bandits in the doorway draw their blades and try to cut back at Growler.
Bandit at W7 and W9 use a free action to drop their bows, and move actions to draw short swords. Bandit at W9 takes a five foot step to W8 to reach Growler.
Bandit attack 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Bandit attack 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Bandit attack 2 critical confirmation: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Bandit attack 2 damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Growler takes 5 points of damage.
The party figures the distracted bandits will be coming around the side of the lodge soon. Meanwhile, inside, it looks like more bandits are coming towards the door to shoot out.
A new bandit move up to V8 and takes a shot with a bow at Yagello. There sounds like more bandits coming behind him, but they are currently not visible. Yagello gets cover due to the various bodies between them.
Bandit shortbow attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Bandit critical confirmation: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Bandit damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Yagello takes 4 damage
The bandit gets a lucky shot that hits Yagello.
Growler can take round 3 actions, while everyone else (Arkady, Cervin, Aishe, Igmar, Yagello, Daegan) can take their round 2 actions. The bandit at W7 was damaged heavily by Arkady's lucky shot, the remaining bandits have not yet been harmed.

Cervin Kelinson |

"Move up! Move up!" shouts Cervin. "There's plenty for all and more coming from the south. Old Deadeye is with us and we shall win the day!"
Cervin's bow thrums, spurred on by Igmar's glorious song.
Rapid PBS + Inspire: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 1 = 18 PBS + Inspire: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6
Rapid PBS + Inspire: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 = 6 PBS + Inspire: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 1 = 10
Full action - rapid shot. Targeting W7 with the one arrow that hits.

Growler - Aishe's Companion |

Trying to dodge the bandit's sword strokes and failing, Growler takes a nasty wound from a cut across her flank, but runs back to her mistress when Aishe calls for the she-wolf to do so...
Withdraw action - retreat behind Aishe

Yagello |

Grunting as the arrow pierces his skin, Yagello sees Growler retreat back to her mistress. He forces the pain out of his mind, knowing the doorway must be blocked before their enemies overwhelm them. He strides through the thick snow, moving as fast as he can. During his move, he drops the short bow and draws his elven curve blade.
Double move through difficult terrain to X-8.

Igmar Cratebearer |

Sensing the presence of more bandits coming around the corner, Igmar moves that way, hoping to cut them off. All the while, he continues his song to bolster his companions.
Standard/Move action: Double move to Z9
Free action: Continue Bardic Performance to Inspire Courage

Reign of Winter GM |

Cervin lets another volley of arrows go, and another bandit falls in an increasingly growing heap of bodies just inside the door.
Bandit at W7 goes down. Map has been updated. Arkady, Aishe, and Daegan can still take their round 2 actions.

Aishe Grynne |

With Yagello now in the doorway instead of Growler, Aishe still doesn't have a clear shot at the ruffians there, so instead she moves to the side of the lodge to stand next to Cervin, readying her crossbow to shoot at the first bandit to show his or her face around the side of the building.
Move action - move to CC6
Standard action - ready an attack (shoot first bandit to appear around the side of the building with her light crossbow)
Readied attack, light crossbow: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 1 = 15
Damage, light crossbow bolt: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Reign of Winter GM |

As Daegan and Yagello reach the porch, they can see a bit more of the main room behind the doors. A large table and two benches run the length of this hall, and a twenty-foot-high vaulted ceiling rises into the rafters overhead. To the west, a roaring fireplace provides a welcome heat and light, with two hallways going past the fireplace on either side towards the front entrance. To the south, a flight of stairs ascends to a wooden balcony overlooking the room. Underneath those stairs, a stream of more bandits are rushing to join their companions.
Map has been updated, including a view of the common room inside the lodge. The first two bandits coming from the southern room are at T9 and U9, and there are more behind them.
I know Arkady is away today, so I'll give him a bit longer for a chance to post before the bandits act.

Arkady Szriakou |

Sorry, from the map I thought the CC3 would be considered road, which is why I did the 5' step.
As the group moves in, Arkady follows along on the road, stepping into the snow to get a clear shot past Cervin. He takes aim along the road, ready to shoot at anyone coming around the corner.
Move action: BB4-AA5-AA6-BB7 (by my count that's 30', correct me if I'm reading the map wrong); Standard action: Ready to fire crossbow if someone comes around the corner or gets past Yagello.
Attack roll if action is triggered: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 + 1 = 9
Damage, if successful: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Reign of Winter GM |

Arkady - Ah, I see the reason for the confusion. The "road" on the map is just trodden snow. It still counts as difficult terrain. Only the porch and inside the lodge are not considered as difficult terrain. Sorry if I was not clear about that! I moved you halfway, to AA5, but you can slightly correct that if necessary.
The bandits that had been dealing with the horses finally come around the corner. Arkaday and Aishe each take shots, but Arkady's shot goes wide, into the forest beyond, and Aishe's sinks into the thick wooden walls of the lodge. The bandits stop short along the same wall, and the one in front returns fire, aiming for Igmar as the closest target.
Meanwhile, the two bandits at the door step to the side, slashing their blades at Yagello and Daegan out of range of Cervin's bow. They motion to the men coming out of the door to stay to one side, who draw their bows. Yagello and Daegan are able to note that these reinforcements from the southern room appear less prepared for battle, as if they were woken by the alarm just a few moments ago.
Bandits outside at U14 and V14. The lodge gives them cover, which is why Aishe missed. The bandit at U14 doesn't have a shot, but the bandit at V14 shoots at Igmar. Indoors, the two bandits have moved to W6 and W9, out of Cervin's sight. They used a move action to carefully move into place without provoking an AoO, and are using standard actions to attack Daegan and Yagello. There appear to be 6 more bandits that have come out of the room, arranged along the wall at U6, V6, T9, U9, V9 and one still at U10. These men have all drawn their bows, and while they have a fairly clear shot at Daegan and Yagello, Cervin only has a shot from where he stands (albeit with cover) at the bandit located at T9. The reinforcements used their turn to get into position, though, and will not be attacking this turn.
Bandit at V14 attacking Igmar (shortbow): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Bandit at W6 attacking Daegan (short sword): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Bandit at W9 attacking Yagello (short sword): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
The bandits arrow lands harmlessly short at Igmar's feet. Yagello and Daegan are able to hold back the blows at the door. Sensing an opening, they move to attack.
Growler can take round 4 actions, while everyone else (Arkady, Cervin, Aishe, Igmar, Yagello, Daegan) can take their round 3 actions. The map has been updated.

Cervin Kelinson |

"Ten. There's still ten and we're only six. Still, four down in a few moments. We can do this, I have faith."
Cervin moves through the snow to get a better shot before loosing an arrow.
Attack + PBS + Inspire: 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 21
Attack + PBS + Inspire - Cover: 1d8 + 2 + 1 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 1 + 1 - 4 = 2
Move action: Move to Z6. Standard: Fire at V9. I think I have a cover penalty but you can remove that if necessary.

Daegan Corsmeir |

Angered by both the sword swipe and the blatant firing range being set up, Daegan takes his own attack at the bandit that swung at him. He barks back towards the others; "We might have a slight problem here!"
Attack bandit at W6: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 13
Damage, if applicable: 2d6 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1, 1) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 8

Yagello |

Seeing the firing squad to his left, Yagello returns Daegan's worried glance before trying to encourage his friend. "Not if we have Cervin at our backs! He's making mincemeat of these scum!" He grasps the elven curve blade tightly to stop his shivering and swings mightily at the nearest bandit.
Standard Action to attack bandit at W-9
Attack (elven curve blade): 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 1 = 18
If successful, damage: 1d10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 = 8

Arkady Szriakou |

I did *not* see this in the cards today. Either I'm losing my touch, or something seriously foul is at work. I just hope I survive to ask Grandmother about all of this.
Arkady reloads and moves around to try to get a clear shot at the oncoming bandits.
Reload crossbow, Move to CC7

Growler - Aishe's Companion |

Growler goes to dash forwards at the bandits now preparing to snipe at her mistress, but then Aishe waves her to the other side of the lodge, out of the line of fire. The wolf hesitates, then decides to broadly interpret the command as an instruction to run around the far side of the building to get behind the prey...
Growler takes a full-round action to start moving around to the far side of the building, preparing to surprise the pair of bandits lurking around the side from behind - she has a 40' movement, and I think the DM said that she isn't impeded by the snow, so a run action would get her to the corner of the lodge at J2 this round, but then she has to turn a corner, ending her movement (run only permits straight line movement).

Igmar Cratebearer |

Igmar continues his song, but he (mystically, it seems) weaves in a slower tune along with his battle cry, almost a lullaby coupled with a war chant.
Free Action: Continue bardic performance to inspire courage.
Standard Action: Cast Sleep on bandits in U14 and V14. Will save of 13 to negate. I assume the two together are under 4 HD, but if not, then it can only affect one of them.

Reign of Winter GM |

U14 Bandit Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10
V14 Bandit Will Save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Suprisngly, Cervin's target remains standing after taking an arrow. Meanwhile, Daegan and Yagello each take out the bandits guarding the doorway, and they both fall to the ground in a heap.
Igmar's song lulls one of the bandits outside to sleep, and he falls into the soft snow.
Bandits at W6 and W9 are killed by Yagello and Daegan. Cervin's target at V9 is still standing, but hurt. The Bandit at V14 is asleep, but the bandit at U14 is still awake.
The map has been updated, Aishe still has a turn before the bandits act.
Aishe, Growler does not know know the flank trick, so getting Growler to run around the back of the lodge will require a DC 25 Handle Animal check to "push" Growler, to perform a trick that it does not know but is physically capable of performing. Growler's link ability allows Aishe to "push" Growler as a move action (known tricks can be done as a free action). To keep the pace of combat moving, I'll allow this as a free action for now.

Arkady Szriakou |

As Igmar's spell drops one of the bandits, Arkady takes aim at the other, waiting for a clear shot.
Move to CC9; Ready action to fire at U14 if either he moves to approach or starts to wake up his buddy. (I would rather shoot once he moves into a clear line of sight, but will shoot if he tries to wake up the sleeping one.)
Attack (additional -2 if I have to shoot while he has concealment): 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 1 = 10
Damage, if successful: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
...and the RNG resumes hating me. Great damage, awful attack. *sigh*

Aishe Grynne |

Aishe, Growler does not know know the flank trick, so getting Growler to run around the back of the lodge will require a DC 25 Handle Animal check to "push" Growler, to perform a trick that it does not know but is physically capable of performing. Growler's link ability allows Aishe to "push" Growler as a move action (known tricks can be done as a free action). To keep the pace of combat moving, I'll allow this as a free action for now.
If I had known about the flank trick when I chose Growler's training, it would have been included, but at the time it didn't appear in Hero Lab. But I had forgotten about that when I posted her last action - forget about any rolls to push Growler either, as Aishe cannot succeed on a DC25 Handle Animal check. Although she got Handle Animal as a class skill thanks to bloodline, being a sorcerer means limited skill points so she has no ranks in the skill yet. Instead Aishe will just order Growler to stay back since there seems little else the wolf can do without getting in someone's road.

Reign of Winter GM |

The bandits inside the lodge position themselves in two lines and begin to fire freely and Daegan and Yagello. Yagello notices that these bandits that came from the room appear to be somewhat distracted. They are all sweating profusely and they do not appear to be holding their bows steady enough.
Bandit at U10 moves to T6. Bandits T6, U6, V6 shoot at Yagello. Bandits T9, U9, V9 shoot at Daegan. These bandits are taking (currently unspecified) penalties.
Bandit at T6 attacking Yagello: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (6) + 2 - 3 = 5
Bandit at U6 attacking Yagello: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (13) + 2 - 3 = 12
Bandit at V6 attacking Yagello: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (3) + 2 - 3 = 2
Bandit at T9 attacking Daegan: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (14) + 2 - 3 = 13
Bandit at U9 attacking Daegan: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (14) + 2 - 3 = 13
Bandit at V9 attacking Daegan: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (4) + 2 - 3 = 3
The bandits all miss horribly, but a half-orc bandit jumps out from behind the fireplace. Carefully staying close to the fireplace, she fires her crossbow at Daegan.
New bandit appears at Q8, firing defensively at Daegan
Half-orc bandit at Q8 attacking Daegan: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 6 - 4 = 11
Her shot goes too high, and she curses and stays next to the fireplace for cover.
Outside, the bandit that fought off Igmar's spell curses his companion as he falls into the snow. He bends down to wake him up, avoiding Arkady's bolt, and starts slapping his friend on the ground.
Bandit at U14 uses standard action to wake bandit at V14. Bandit at V14 is still prone at this point.
The map has been udpated. The bandit at V9 is hurt, and the bandit at V14 is prone. All other bandits have not (yet) been harmed.
Growler can take round 5 actions (and take back round 4 actions to do something else, if necessary), while everyone else (Arkady, Cervin, Aishe, Igmar, Yagello, Daegan) can take their round 4 actions. Aishe still has her round 3 actions as well.

Cervin Kelinson |

Cervin has not showed the slighted hint of fear thus far, but the expression on his face as the volley of arrows fly for Yagello and Daegan is unmistakable. However, as the arrow go wild, slamming into wood or thunking harmlessly into snow, Cervin lets out a delighted laugh.
"The Gods protect us!" he shouts excitedly before nocking another arrow."Deadeye guide my bow and purge these evils that plague our land!"
Arrow after arrow flies from Cervin's bow, flying past his companions towards the bandits.
Rapid Shot/PBS/Inspire: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage/PBS/Inspire: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Rapid Shot/PBS/Inspire: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Damage/PBS/Inspire: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Targeting V9 and U9. Now that I'm looking at the map closely, I don't think they have cover.

Yagello |

I'm assuming Celin took out both bandits at V-9 and U-9 with 8 and 11 hit points of damage respectively. :)
Seeing the enemy fall left and right before Cervin's volley of arrows, Yagello pumps his fist in triumph and moves to intercept the final bandit firing on him.
Move action to U-9
Standard action to attack bandit at T-9
Silly me, earlier I forgot to use my favored enemy bonus against the bandits! I gather the bandit at T-9 is human, right?
Attack (elven curve blade): 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 26
If successful, damage: 1d10 + 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 1 + 1 + 2 = 11
Critical Hit Confirmation: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 8
If successful, damage: 1d10 + 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 + 2 = 6

Igmar Cratebearer |

Igmar lumbers forward, his pick drawn and ready to strike. Though his singing has stopped, the inspiring sounds still echo around the battlefield.
Inspire courage remains for two rounds.
Standard, move action: Double move to Y11

Cervin Kelinson |

Crap my damage is too high. Drop 1 from my damage on each arrow this around and last round if you feel so inclined. Should be 1 for strength, 1 for point blank, 1 for inspire for 3 total, not 4.

Reign of Winter GM |

Cervin - yeah, the cover was only when Cervin was further back, he has a clear shot of the bandits at U9 and V9.
Yagello - yes, all the bandits except the one at Q8 are human.
Cervin lets a volley of arrows fly, and two bandits go down. Yagello moves into the room and takes down another one.
Yagello gets a brief glimpse of the room to the south. Four beds, two large chests, and a single table with four chairs occupy this room. A few rugs are arranged on the floor as two more beds. Three windows look out to the east, west, and south, providing a grand view of the snowy gorge outside the lodge.
Outside, Arkady reaches the outhouse for cover. The door appears to be frozen shut, and a small hammer hangs from a rope. The stench is nearly overpowering.
Even after the adjustments, the bandits at T9, U9 and V9 all drop. Growler can take round 5 actions (and take back round 4 actions to do something else, if necessary). Aishe has her round 3 and round 4 actions. Daegan can still take his round 4 action. The map has been updated, with a bit more of the interior revealed.

Daegan Corsmeir |

Daegan steps farther in and swings at the nearest bandit. He regrets taking advantage of the obvious illness afflicting them, but they are firing at him.
"Should we try and take the rest of these ones indoors alive, Yagello?"
1d20 + 1 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 1 + 1 + 3 = 16
2d6 + 1 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (2, 6) + 1 + 1 + 4 = 14
5-foot step to W7 and attack bandit at V6. I'm assuming that brought him down. If not, forgive me for jumping the gun a bit with that suggestion.

Cervin Kelinson |

Right! The illness... these people are sick! They can't fight us and have a hope.
Cervin calls out over the din of combat and groans of the dying bandits.
"Throw down your arms! Do not force us to end any more lives; you will be spared if you surrender!"

Aishe Grynne |

Aishe sees the dwarf bard advance, and not wanting to leave him to face any opponents alone, she advances just behind him with her loaded crossbow ready to shoot any bandit she sees.
Ranged attack, light crossbow: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 1 = 19
Damage, light crossbow bolt: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Reign of Winter GM |

Yagello and Daegan see the bandits inside exchange glances at Cervin's suggestion. After a momentariy pause, the two sickly human bandits nod together then raise their bows and fire at Daegan.
Bandit at T6 attacking Daegan: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (18) + 2 - 3 = 17
Bandit at T6 damage: 1d6 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0
Bandit at U6 attacking Daegan: 1d20 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (10) + 2 - 3 = 9
One of the arrows grazes Daegan, which only stings slightly. Meanwhile, the half-orc bandit takes stock of the situation and moves behind the fireplace, out of sight.
Daegan takes one point of non-lethal damage. The half-orc moves to Q7 and out of sight.
Outside, the bandit that had fallen asleep previously gets up, drawing his sword to fight the approaching dwarf about to menace him. His companion takes a step to the outside. Aishe's bolt hits him, and he lets an arrow loose in retaliation. They do not appear to be listening to Cervin's suggestion to stand down.
Bandit at V14 uses a move action to stand up, and another move action to draw his sword. Bandit at U14 moves to V15, gets hit by Aishe's bolt, and then attacks Aishe.
Bandit at V15 attacking Aishe: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Bandit at V15 damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Well, the dice seem to be finally favoring the party! Aishe takes 1 point of damage.
The map has been updated. The bandit at V15 has taken two points of damage, and all other bandits on the map have not yet been injured. Growler can take round 5 and 6 actions, while everyone else (Arkady, Cervin, Aishe, Igmar, Yagello, Daegan) can take their round 5 actions. Aishe still has her round 4 actions as well.

Cervin Kelinson |

Cervin sighs miserably.
This is ridiculous. I just saw the haft of an arrow bounce off of Daegan's forehead! Hardly a fair fight. Of course there -are- what, ten? Twelve of them?
"On your head be it then!"
Cervin takes quick stock of the situation. He looks at the building and none of the bandits are in sight. Need a better angle. Scanning south, he sees an arrow wing Aishe and two bandits advancing on Igmar, who holds a pick up menacingly. Cervin takes a moment to aim before letting an arrow fly at each bandit.
Attack+Inspire: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 Damage+Inspire: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Attack+Inspire: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 Damage+Inspire: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Full round action - rapid shot. Attacking the bandits at V14 and V15 respectively.

Aishe Grynne |

Round 4
Aishe yelps more with shock than pain as the bandit's arrow grazes her arm. Quickly cocking and reloading her crossbow, she aims and looses the bolt at him in retaliation.
Ranged attack, light crossbow: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 2 + 1 = 21
Damage, light crossbow bolt: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Um, by the way, Aishe did cast mage armor on herself at the start of this fight, so her actual AC at the moment is 16. Did the bandit's arrow still hit her?

Reign of Winter GM |

Aishe - my mistake, the arrow bounces of the mage armor and does no damage.
Cervin misses the bandit staying close to the lodge, but both Cervin and Aishe both fire simultaneously at the bandit that has moved a bit out, and he falls from the combined blows.
Bandit at V15 goes down. Growler can take round 5 and 6 actions, while Arkady, Aishe, Igmar, Yagello and Daegan can take their round 5 actions.

Igmar Cratebearer |

Seeing the bolt fly past him toward Aishe, Igmar finds himself enraged, and rushes toward the bandits. As he sees one fall, he swings his pick at the remaining bandit.
This is the final round for Inspire Courage. Can I get to the bandit to attack? If not, I'll move to X13 and ready an action to attack if he engages (you can use the one below for that).
Move Action: Move to W13
Standard Action: Attack bandit in V14 with pick two-handed
I have not drawn my shield, so my AC is 13 but I can attack two-handed.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 2 + 1 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Yagello |

Leaving the two sickly bandits to Daegan, Yagello rushes towards the fireplace to confront the half-orc. This might be the leader of this group, or at least someone in a leadership position. Chop off the head, and the rest may be more likely to negotiate...
Move action to R-8
Standard action to attack the half-orc bandit
Attack (elven curve blade): 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8
If successful, damage: 1d10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 = 6

Reign of Winter GM |

Yagello confronts the half-orc, but she dodges his swing. Outside, the lone standing bandit's eyes dart between Igmar, Aishe and Arkady, but he holds his sword up, seemingly about to attack Igmar.
Map has been updated. Growler can take round 5 and 6 actions, while Aishe and Daegan can still take their round 5 actions.

Yagello |

Yagello was too distracted to notice earlier, but his eyes widen as he comes around the fireplace and sees the half-orc is a woman! Perhaps subconsciously, he checks his swing, and the woman easily avoids his blade. He starts sweating a bit at his predicament, and the perspiration mixes with the now melting icicles on his garments.
He stammers, "Let's come to a peaceful solution here. These halls have seen enough bloodshed to last a man's lifetime. What is your name?"
To aid my roleplaying, I was wondering how the half-orc looks? Is she feminine in appearance? More human than orc or vice versa? Thanks...

Daegan Corsmeir |

Daegan flinches slightly as the arrow grazes his face, but finds himself more and more depressed by the fight. These people were in no condition to continue their resistance, and yet they fought on anyway. Valiant, perhaps, but ultimately it would mean their demise.
"This will be my last warning. Stand down. If you continue on as you are... well, I shall make my blows quick. Please, do not make me do this. I do not want to slay you."
Move to V6, readying an attack at the bandit at U6. If he notches an arrow or tries to draw a melee weapon, Daegan will swing. Rolls below:
1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 13
2d6 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4, 6) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 16

Growler - Aishe's Companion |

It's become clear that there's little Growler can do without getting in someone's way, so having her dash off behind the lodge was a way to get her out of the fight. By the time she lopes up to where Igmar and Aishe are now, the last bandit outside should be down.
Round 5 and 6
Growler continues her run around the far side of the building, moving up behind the bandits who were shooting at her mistress, however only one of them is still standing now. Subtlety not being part of the wolf's make-up, she finishes her dash by leaping at him, snarling and biting at his arms.
Round 5 - double move to O14
Round 6 - move action to bandit at V14, then standard action to attack
Bite attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Bite damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Aishe Grynne |

Seeing the bandit who shot at her fall as both her crossbow bolt and Cervin's arrow hit him simultaneously, and watching as the angry dwarf bard advances, Aishe tries to brow-beat the survivor into surrender. "Drop your bow and put your hands up, you fool! Death is your only alternative if you do otherwise."
Move action - reload crossbow
Standard action - attempt to Intimidate the bandit into surrendering
Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Oh well, it was probably worth a try anyway...

Reign of Winter GM |

Outside, the bandit has his sword drawn and appears ready for attack. It may be the magical slumber the man is still blinking from his eyes, but he appears overwhelmed by the Igmar menacing him, with Aishe and Arkady shouting at him as well, while Growler is biting at his sword arm. He lowers his hand, and drops his sword to the ground. "All right, just call your dog off me!"
Bandit outside at V14 is surrendering at the overwhelming odds.
Inside, the half-orc laughs defiantly at Yagello. Her under-bite sporting two protruding tusks, a pale green skin and her heavy build makes her orcish blood undeniable. The one thing that seems odd is a simple cooking apron she is still wearing, as if she was in the middle of cooking something. "You're just going to turn me over to the Taldans, why should I deal with the likes of you?"
Next to Daegan, the two sickly bandits once again stay silent in solidarity to their cause. They draw their swords and separate. One going for Daegan and the other crossing the room to attack Yagello. As soon as they act, Daegan moves swiftly and cuts one of them down.
Daegan's readied attack takes out the bandit at U6. Bandit at T6 moves to S8, drawing his sword, and attacks Yagello. He's taken some damage from Growler.
Bandit at S8 using short sword on Yagello: 1d20 + 3 - 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 - 3 = 8
The bandit misses badly, but the half-orc takes advantage of the distraction to attack Yagello at the same time, snarling as she swings, but still keeping he guard up.
Half-orc bandit at Q7 takes five foot step to Q8. Uses move action to draw sword, and attacks defensively.
Half-orc attack (short sword+flanking+defenseively): 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 2 - 4 = 16
Yagello barely leaps out of the way in time, her sword coming just short of his head.
The map has been updated, Growler can take round 7 actions, while everyone else (Arkady, Cervin, Yagello, Aishe, Igmar, Daegan) can take their round 6 actions.

Cervin Kelinson |

Cervin mutters some choice words under his breath as he hears the conversation in the lodge.
I gave them their mercy and they turned it down. So be it.
Lifting his feet out of the wet snow he heads for the porch, relieved to find himself on clear ground. He continues to move in until he's alongside Daegan. He tries to stop and fire an arrow, but the melting snow everywhere causes him to skid out of control so that the arrow goes wide.
Attack+PBS: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Move action, move to V7, standard to attack the bandit at S8.

Yagello |

Yagello suddenly finds himself surrounded and fighting for his life! Chivalry will have to wait for another time if I plan to come out of here in one piece!
Standard action to attack the half-orc woman
Attack (elven curve blade): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
If successful, damage: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Growler - Aishe's Companion |

Hearing her mistress shout to stop biting at the bandit, Growler backs off a little, but continues to menace the man by snarling, and will attack if he twitches or goes for his sword.
Readied action - attack the bandit if he tries to flee, fight or do anything other than stand still and not move.
