She casts detect magic and moves around looking for a little while, to make sure she doesn't miss anything.

Alaka does not find anything else in the room, despite her careful searching.

I'll move you into the kitchen tomorrow.

As you approach the door to the kitchen, you hear loud arguing. Two satyrs, one waving around a kitchen knife to emphasize what he is saying, are having a heated discussion of what to cook next.

Jynnjun shakes her head. "Nah, these guys won't know how to make cupcakes. They probably don't know what those are" she says, possibly loud enough for the satyrs to hear.

The two creatures turn towards you. "Of course I know what cupcakes are. But you'd better explain them to that idiot over there."

She turns to the *other* Satyr and starts explaining cupcakes.

You know how messy it can be if you steal... [cough] er, make a whole cake, right? Crumbs everywhere, and so big that everyone wants to share with you. So, a cupcake is like a personal cake that no one can take from you. It is only about this big She holds her hands up in front of her, making a circle the size of a giant muffin and they make it in a cup I think, which is why it is called a cup cake. You can make several cupcakes with the same ingredients as a regular cake, and then everyone gets one and nobody fights... well, they fight less... about who gets more, because everyone gets their own. And it is super-duper yummy. I think it would be a good choice.

Xakroo just stood by, observing the conversation-he didn't like sweets that much, due to his reptilian stomach not handling dairy well. The only real thing he did was stood near Trinket, making damn sure that she wouldn't jump to conclusions and drew out a sword on two satyrs.

Nope! As noted in the discussion, I was not here. Won't be able to post tomorrow, either, but I do have time to make one now!

Waving her sword around, Trinket exclaims, "Surrender villainous chefs! The Great Heroes are here!" She poses dramatically as the people around her talk about desserts.

She smiles brightly. "Ahah! A non-violent victory! How heroic! Now tell me Chefs-in-need-of-redemption, how did you come to live here? What happened to the Amazing Heroes who lived here? And where's your Villainous Boss?"

Venture Lieutenant, Play by Post (online)

The satyrs look at Trinket. They're used to some very odd behavior from other fey, but they cannot make heads or tails out of Trinket's actions.

"We'll tell you whatever you want to know after you tell us how to make 'cup-cakes.'"

Trinket finds that they do not have sugar.

They start to argue with each other about which of Poxy's recipes they would like to learn.

Poxy shows them how as he mixes up an extract of adhesive spittle. If they are not alchemists and following along presumably they just get a drink that makes their spit kind of sticky. Upon completion however, Poxy drinks his and spits it out all over one of the Satyrs. "Ahahaha hilarious Poxy TOLD you it was sticky!"

I think if we are being literal about the rules that would start combat, Poxy, but in this case I think that rule would be stupid, so we won't use it.

What about everyone else?

Xakroo was already making his way to the next room, trying to avoid the possibly angry glares of the satyrs. I'm already going to the next room, he says bluntly to Alaka. Zarvak follows right behind him.

Trinket nods happily. "A fine idea, Alaka of the Burny Flames so Hot! Onward!"

Trinket hurries out of the kitchen and down the hall to the next northern room.

"Look out villains, the Great Heroes are coming!"

I agree with Alaka.

Poxy finishes laughing and follows the others out and toward the north door, calling back to the Satyrs "Keep practicing your sticky spit and soon your sticky spit will be as sticky as sticky-spitted Poxy's sticky spit is!"

Venture Lieutenant, Play by Post (online)

The satyrs look confused, because their feelings are a mix of pride at what Poxy has taught them, wondering what it's good for, and sadness that they don't get to try cupcakes.

You go back to the dining hall, and cross to the opposite side. Here, you find the remains of a room that has crumbled, and see nothing of interest, so you return to the dining hall.
