GM Redelia
Alaka Zam
Alaka tries to pick out the one (of the hairy drunk guys) that is closest to her and the most drunk (and that won't cause her an AOO from someone else).
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15
If she is able to spot one of them that seems like a good chance, and can get close enough for a touch attack, then Alaka casts Shackle, then delivers it via a touch attack (rolled below). She uses the fetters option to try and shackle the victim's ankles together. She's always wanted to try that spell, and drunk guys seems like the perfect chance.
Melee v Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Text of the spell HERE. If the touch attack succeeds, the target gets a DC 16 Reflex save. If he fails, then his ankles are shackled together. DC 25 Disable Device to escape them. Lasts 1 hour per level (so 6 hours).
If he makes his save I can't tell if the fetters still appear or not. They definitely wouldn't be on him in that case, but they might still appear?
Xakroo the Arrow Shooter
Xakroo blinks in confusion-he was expecting goblinoids, not...whatever those are. He tries to figure out exactly what these humanoids are.
Stay still Poxy, he whispers to the goblin, I wanna know what those are.
Knowledge geography: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Poxy
Poxy nods and then looks Zarvak in the eyes, puts his finger in front of his mouth and whispers "Sssshhhh..." to the dinosaur.
Then he takes a closer look at the creatures.
Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 2 = 25
If and when initiative is rolled, Poxy will dismiss his spell to get +4
Xakroo the Arrow Shooter
Zarvak doesn't even notice Poxy, as she's focused on...whatever they are.
It looks like they're some kind of fey, Xakroo whispered to Poxy, I'm not familiar with fey, got any idea what they are?
Trinket Sparkleplume
Trinket draws her rapier and casts a spell on herself, disappearing from sight. Then she scampers down the wall and sneaks up on the Hairy Villains, stabbing one in the back!
Casting vanish on herself, then sneaking over to stab a hairy fey.
Stealth: 1d20 + 17 + 20 ⇒ (7) + 17 + 20 = 44 Includes the +20 bonus for being invisible while moving.
And her attack roll when she gets the chance.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Jynnjun
1 person marked this as a favorite.
Jynnjun's eyes bug out as she sees Trinket draw her sword and vanish. "But... we don't even know whether they're enemies," she hisses.
Groaning, she slides down the wall and moves over to support or save Trinket as necessary.
Stealth, invisibility: 1d20 + 22 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 22 + 20 = 50 Also, any penalties for movement are halved.
Xakroo the Arrow Shooter
Xakroo just happened to see Trinket drawing her sword and disappearing. Oh that little-! he growled softly, Head in the clouds as always! Poxy, I think we're gonna end up in a fight...
Trinket Sparkleplume
Trinket's not nearly clever enough to worry. We're heroes, after all!
Poxy
Can Poxy and Xakroo see Trinket with the stabbing and the others? If so then the guards probably can too and it would fast turn into one big fight. Otherwise the ground team hasn't decided to engage their pair and might try to sneak past (invisibly) towards the gate to meet the others. Did Poxy's nature check help ID what he is looking at?
Alaka Zam
Guys, I just want to make sure you understand that you are looking at two different groups of enemies. Are you sure you want to start a fight (or two) while you've split the party?
When the GM says "are you sure?" it is always wise to rethink your character's life choices.
As Alaka is moving forward to cast her funny shackle spell on one of the hairy creatures, she gets an uneasy feeling, and stops. She wonders if Sarenrae likes these guys, and maybe it isn't a good idea to trick them, since they aren't doing anything bad to her. What if they are nice?
She decides to back off and wait and watch to see what happens instead.
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
GM Redelia
I'm sorry you guys have waited so long to get this moving. Yesterday's site outage did not help.
We've been playing together for long enough that I'm going to ask you guys to trust me as to how I weave together your different actions. I will do my best to make a fun story from what you've said.
Alaka's doubts are quickly laid to rest by the cruel way these creatures are talking and treating each other. They are laughing about cruel practical jokes that sound more to you like torture of humans. Because of this, Alaka knows it's ok to cast her spell. She chooses as target one of the creatures who was getting up to refill his tankard. He falls over, his ankles suddenly bound together. He immediately yells at the nearest other korred "Barney, you jerk, you knocked me over!". Then his hair grabs at Barney, who is pulled down into a scuffle with him. Soon all the other drunk korreds get pulled into the fight, and the middle of the courtyard contains a pile of korreds who are busy tickling, grappling, and teasing each other. When they are all well tangled up together, Trinket slips forward and stabs one of them. Barney yells "Toro, you jerk, that hurt!" and then punches Toro. The two guards in the doorway hear the commotion and come to see what happens, only to get swept up in the chaos. Soon, the entire bundle of bruised, exhausted fey appears to fall asleep from exhaustion.
OK, guys, you're all inside the courtyard, with fey who are clearly no longer a threat. Please put yourselves outside whichever door from the courtyard you want to explore first.
Xakroo the Arrow Shooter
Xakroo heard all of the commotion and chaos, and was ready to put his arrows to use...only to see that they barely even needed to attack at all.
That was...effective, he blinked, as he and his raptor followed towards Alaka. Good work on that spell, he commented, patting the goblin on the back, We saved us some of our resources due to your brilliant idea.
Trinket Sparkleplume
"Haha!" Trinket exclaims proudly. "Villains always LOSE!" Then she scampers over to a nearby door with great excitement.
GM Redelia
You walk across the courtyard and enter a door at the base of one of the towers. A stone staircase ascends in the northwestern corner of this room and wooden doors lead out to the north and west. A makeshift forge, long cold, stands against the southern wall. Two taxidermic grizzly bears stand against the far wall of the room.
Xakroo the Arrow Shooter
Zarvak walks over to the bears carefully, sniffing to see if anything's wrong.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
I don't know, something's off about those bears... Xakroo muttered, drawing out a bow just in case.
Poxy
Poxy sees the bears and excitedly rifles through his bag, pulling out one of the owlbear beaks. He laughs and holds the beak up as he starts marching toward one of the bears...
"Owl bear! Bear owl? Owlbear-owl? Bear-owlbear? What will this thing be called?!"
Poxy is definitely going to stick a beak up in one of the bears' face if no one stops him
Trinket Sparkleplume
Trinket laughs at Poxy's great jokes!
"A-hahahahahaaha!"
Alaka Zam
Alaka casts detect magic to see if one of the bears (or anything else) is enchanted.
GM Redelia
As Poxy moves towards the stuffed bears, the one closest to him starts to move!

Alaka wants to breathe fire and burn the bears, because breathing fire is cool, but she doesn't want to hurt Poxy, who walked up to one of them, so she runs up beside him and hits the bear with her torch instead.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Bludgeoning Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Poxy
If something hits Poxy with a natural weapon (like a bear), it has to make a DC 16 Fort save or take 3 damage and be sickened and dazed. If they fail they also have to repeat this 1 additional time next round.
Poxy
Yeah it is unfortunately. Lame magic robot bears......
Trinket Sparkleplume
Trinket eye's widen as the bear moves. "Whoah! Back villain! The heroes are here to cut you with their sharpest of shiny swords, and burn you with their hottest of flames!" As she speaks her rapier begins to crackle with electricity.
Trinket activates her bladethirst bardic performance as a standard action to make her rapier shocking.
Then she prances forward into battle, unnecessarily tumbling and cartwheeling her way closer to the bear, brandishing her sparking rapier the whole time.
Move action with some unnecessary acrobatics checks thrown in for a flourish!
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
GM Redelia
Alaka hits the red-tinged bear with her torch, damaging it, and Jynnjun sends a ray over to damage the blue-tinged bear.
The red one claws and Poxy.

The blue one seems to also think Poxy is the big threat.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

He then notices Trinket, and bites at her.

Piercing Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 and Electricity Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Jynnjun
Not a ray - that was a thrown vial of alchemist's fire.
The fire burns a moment longer on the blue-tinged bear before guttering out.
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Meanwhile Jynnjun casts a quick spell as she gets out her spear, making it gleam like silver. She moves forward and jabs the spear forward once briefly sending a burst of silvery light at the bear before making a whole-hearted thrust at it.
Dazzling Blade cast as a swift action, a move action to move forward and ready her weapon, free action to discharge the spell, then finally a standard action to attack. The bear needs to make a DC 16 will save or be blinded for 1 round, if it is blinded then it probably loses its dex bonus against the attack below.
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Poxy
"Yeow BAD BEAR" Poxy shouts and swiftly (5 foot) steps back. He pulls out the ingredients for a bomb and sets a directed cold blast to shoot a cone at the 2 bears.
The directed blast is a 20 foot cone that targets one creature as if hit by a bomb and splashes to all other squares.
Touch attack on red: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Cold damage on red: 3d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 1, 4) + 4 = 14, DC 16 Fort or staggered.
Blue Reflex DC 16 or 7 cold damage
Xakroo the Arrow Shooter
Xakroo's eyes widen at Trinket taking a bad hit, and backs off to get a good aim without hitting anyone. Dammit, Trinket, be more careful with your heroic actions! You too Poxy! he yelled as he aims an arrow at the bear that attacked Trinket.
Longbow Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15

Alaka, Jynjunn, and Xakroo all injure the blue-tinged bear, while Poxy and Zarvak hurt the red-tinged bear. You all notice that Zarvak's slashing attacks seem to do extra damage to the bear.
status: red -33 HP, blue -27 HP, Poxy -13 HP, Alaka -5 HP, Trinket -7 HP.
Alaka Zam
Sorry.
Ow. says Alaka, after being clawed. She gets mad and swings her torch really hard. Her wound distracts her and she doesn't swing very accurately though.

Damage: 1d4 + 1d4 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + (3) + 1 + (1) = 7

Alaka's torch, though not as well aimed as she wishes, still hits the stuffed bear monsters.
The red one claws at Poxy.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

The blue one seems to also continues to claw at Poxy.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Party is up again. Don't forget your bonuses from Inspire.
Jynnjun
Dropping her spear Jynnjun gets a smaller curved blade out. "Kind of like a talon, huh?" She casts the same spell on the sickle as she did on the spear before and strikes at the blue bear's flank as the flash of silvery light blinds it momentarily.
Drop the spear as a free action, draw the sickle as a move, 5' step to flank, swift to cast dazzling blade, another free action to discharge it, standard to attack. Barring an AoO that's as many actions as I can take in a round I think. DC 16 Will save again.
attack, flank, inspire courage: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 2 + 2 = 13

Alaka swings her torch again.

Damage: 1d4 + 1d4 + 1 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + (1) + 1 + (5) + 1 = 10 (Bludgeoning/Fire/Acid) (inspire)
Her swing is even less accurate than before. She mutters what her mother always used to tell her Don't let emotion interfere with fighting back. She tries to focus better for next time.
Jarvak Ogre-Ears
Still singing, Jarvak suddenly hits the high c, targeting at one of the bears or if possible 2.
Sound burst damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8
Make Fort Save DC 14 or be stunned for one round.
Trinket Sparkleplume
"Careful?" Trinket replies to Xakroo. Then She bursts out laughing. "I don't' know the meaning of the word! Well, I do, but I'm a Hero! Heroes are RECKLESS!"
Laughing madly, Trinket lunges at the furry bear with her crackling rapier.
Maintaining bladethirst, swift to use arcane strike. Attacking the bear.

Poxy
Poxy tumbles off another hit from the bears and scrambles back another 5 feet hoping to finally be out of their range.
"Angry Poxy doesn't like nasty bear smacking his poor head! You both go explode!"
He tosses a frost bomb at the red one, somehow safely avoiding damaging his two allies nearby.
Touch Attack: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 11 + 2 = 16
Cold Damage: 3d6 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6, 5, 5) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 22, DC 16 fort or stagger.
Blue takes 6 damage, reflex 16 for half.

He then fires multiple arrows at the blue tinged bear.

Longbow Damage 2: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Longbow Damage 3: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Not sure if this is how you roll while using these feats; if they need to be changed let me know. All I do know is that if Longbow Attack 1 hits, then both Damage 1a and 1b hit as well-at least that's what I got according to the Manyshot feat
Zarvak also goes into a full attack, using her bite and talons to try and rip the red tinged bear to shreds.
