DM I think he is grappled? If so can he just aid another to give me a +2 and I make a check to try to free him? Or Silas would you rather make a separate grapple check in case mine fails? I plan to rage for a round to get a bonus also.
Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map
Yes, Silas is grappled. As far as I read grapple you can do an aid another to try and free him, but Silas cannot aid you. grapple flow chart

not sure I understand... The only thing I can do is give Silas a +2? What if I just roll grapple without being aided versus the gate to pull him free? Based on what DM says Silas let me know what you'd like to do. If I van try on my own and fail you could try escape artist, or I could try whacking him. I don't see the old 3.5 25% chance to hit other grappler so maybe it would be safe to do that..
Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map
The rules are somewhat ambigious but I would say that you can do an opposed grapple to attempt to free him or attack. Since it is huge there would be no negative or chance to hit Silas.

I have ranks in craft trap. After seeing Silas pulled into this mechanism does it look like I could spot a way to jam it with crowbar or similar?
Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map
If it were a trap that would be a disable device, however it is more of a construct. There is a small chance that you could break it with a strength check.

Question: different circumstance bonuses stack... I know that another grease spell like from leialoha on Silas would not stack, but what if it was cast on the portcullis to grease it, would that not also increase the difficulty for it to grapple something? Just an idea don't know if it would work like that.
Male Human Rogue6/Clr1 Current Map
It would be the same circumstance bonus and not stack. Any sign of Leialoha or Beth?
