Combat's over!

Pooka and Luna fail to stabilize, and continue to bleed.

With the druids all down it becomes possible for you to try removing the Atavistic Splinter, which will end the ritual.

Search the druids:
Each druid has a potion of cure light wounds, scroll of barkskin, masterwork hide armor, darts (4), and a quarterstaff.

Thanks for saving my puppy Sun!

Pooka wakes up with a start as the thick, healing liquid pours down his throat. The first thing he sees is the pretty elf standing over him with the empty vial in her hand. "Thank you!" He says, with panic still in his voice as he looks around for Luna. He breaths a sigh of relief when he sees Sun standing over the dog, knowing she will be in good hands.

He lays back for a moment to catch his breath, then stands up, wincing at the pain in his neck and back from the solid blow delivered by the now unconscious druids. Once he gathers himself, he moves over to his dog to survey the damage.

The 400 pound rabid squirrels that were chasing Luna towards that inviting rainbow bridge suddenly stop in their tracks. Luna does as well, as a warm feeling cascades through her body.

Even without being chased, the bridge looks so inviting, and she takes a few steps towards it, whimpering, and feeling tired. The warm feeling continues, and seems to grow as she looks back towards the squirrels, who are suddenly now normal sized and scampering away, acorns in hand. She looks to the bridge one more time before,

"Hup!" ... ... ... Luna, Hup!"

The sound of her master calling her to his side is far more enticing than the promise of eternal rest. At least for now. With a smile only a dog can pull off, and tongue wagging, she bounds through the fields towards the sound of her master's voice, scattering squirrels as she goes.

With the aftermath of the battle complete, Pooka gets up from beside his faithful hound, willing her to lay still for a bit longer. He grabs his halberd, using it to knock the splinter from its suspended state.

Six hammocks hang suspended from the thorns here, crisscrossing along the thorny walls. Two oaks provide shade and shelter from wind and rain. A few clothes hang from the thorny walls. The hammocks and clothes seem simply made. Near one of the tree trunks is a large, sturdy chest. This chest is locked with a good lock. Near the large chest is a smaller chest, whose open lid reveals several scrolls and tomes. Gaps in the walls allow exit to the northwest, north, and northeast.

Bahahaha! I knew that was going to happen :)

The curse isn't even able to escape his lips before the diminutive, heavily armored halfling is blasted off his feet once more from the electrical shock. Blood trickles from his nose as Luna wimpers and licks his new wounds, barking at their companions to get them to help.

"It seems I am in debt to you several times over Sun, and the rest of you. Thank you." He says, finally calm and feeling humbled.

"Lets get this wretched piece of bark back to the society and end this trip. This is one mission I would just as soon forget. Eh girl?" He says, dropping his hand onto Luna's neck and giving her a scratch. The two of them limp off together to the next room where the group discusses the chests.

A nights rest would allow us to continue without expending permanent resources. I think all the druids are out of it now, and the ritual is disrupted, so no pressing time limits. Still, a scroll is only the cost of a dayjob roll which is what they are there for. I'm happy to go either way.

I don't mind using the scroll, that is what consumables are for anyways. Besides, if we rest in the enemy strong hold replacement/shift change druids may come in to snipe us!

The large chest doesn't look trapped, and you use the key to unlock it. The chest contains a birch wand of eagle eye with 12 charges remaining, and a patterned leaf that acts as a scroll of grove of respite.

Feel free to roleplay a bit more, but I'll post the conclusion now :)

Conclusion

After defeating the Briar Henge druids and removing the Atavistic Splinter from Briar Henge before sundown on the second day, the effects of the druids’ ritual are immediately reversed. Those afflicted return to their usual state, and all ability damage heals normally. You return to Wispil by way of the logging camp, and the surviving loggers greet you as heroes, thanking you for sparing them earlier and removing the terrible affliction. Venture-Captain Brackett accepts the Atavistic Splinter from you and promises that the Pathfinder Society will put the artifact to good use in the upcoming Ruby Phoenix Tournament in Goka.

Pooka accepts the congratulations and gratitude with humility, realizing just how close he was to the same, permanent fate. He limps home, eschewing the comfort of his mount, allowing her to rest for the injuries they both have suffered.
