Could someone else post for Ludwick?
While most of you prepare for combat, Beads freaks out the small dog with her booga. The dog's eyes widen as it stops its barking, and it starts shaking on its legs.

I agree, thats what I would do if I were him...

Ludwick drinks his mutagen.
The fey suddenly disappears from view, having turned invisible.
Bite: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 2 = 12 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
The shaken dog moves forward to attack Oleander, but misses.

Pooka guides Luna behind Oleander in order to strike at the dog over her shoulder with his Lance.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 for Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Was going to suggest you take into account any cover for attacking from behind Oleander, but I rolled a derp.
Sun Desin
|
Sun, having readied himself to strike the fey should it turn hostile, mentally groans to himself when it turns invisible.
Fey... should have seen that one coming he thinks to himself with a groan. I never did like attacking animals, but it looks like this one leaves me with no choice.
Raising his hand again, Sun lets loose the building energy towards to dog.
lightning arc attack, PB: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
lightning arc damage, PB: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
@Pooka, I hate rolling derps!
Oleander Anwamanë
|
Throwing her bow to the side, Oleander draws her sword to strike the dog.
attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
But misses. She then steps sideways (5' step) to give others a better route to attack.
Ludwick
|
Sorry everyone, yesterday was a bad day
I move forward and attack the dog.
Attack, Morningstar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Leepo Toggenburg

Leepo pulls out a scroll and casts Magic Fang on Scritch (bite attack).
Scritch moves forward to attack the beast he can see.
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Bite Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Pooka Bladespinner

"That creature is warning the druids! We have to move, or we give them the opportunity to ambush us!"
With that, Pooka moves into the hedge maze, looking for something to clue him into the correct direction to move in.
Not my turn yet, don't want to assume as a player what the Fey is going to do, in case it does try to pop up and stab one of us, so I am not actually moving my character on the sheet.
Pooka Bladespinner
|
"Except you would burn up the splinter we are trying to retrieve, the entire purpose for us being here, and likely the only thing that might be able to reverse this wretched condition I am going through right now. I'm not willing to risk my life getting burnt in a fire, or destroying the only thing that can reverse what these druids have done to me, and everyone else around this area."
Sun Desin
|
"I agree with Pooka in principle, but let's not strike it out entirely as a possible way to take down this structure once we leave to prevent any further evil from getting a foothold here again."
| StephNyan |
The fey pops up on Beads' shoulder, and Beads turns her head so she can attempt to scare the fey by saying "Booga booga booga!"
The diminutive creature screams in horror, and tries to make Beads less scary by shrinking her.

Pooka drops his currently ineffective lance, and pulls out his halberd, attempting to pick the diminutive creature off of the shoulder of his gnomish companion.
"Luna, Want a new chew toy? Sic!"

Oleander strikes with the flat of her sword, trying to disable but not kill the Fey.
attack: 1d20 + 6 - 3 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 6 - 3 + 2 = 23 <= -3 for non lethal, +2 for flanking
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
| StephNyan |
Oleander's attempt to just disable the fey is in vain, because the barrage of attacks leaves it completely slaughtered. It's pretty much a miracle the tiny Beads wasn't hurt in the process.
Combat over!
There's a diminutive sized rapier on the fey, which you may mistake for a needle. No other items are to be found.
Oleander Anwamanë
|
Oleander picks up her bow, and then shoulders it.
"I'm not sure there will be room for archery in there. We should head in quickly before the alarm is raised."
So saying she moves through the curtain and into the henge.
stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Leepo Toggenburg

Leepo follows Oleander in.
Pooka Bladespinner
|
Pooka, who is not normally this impatient or grouchy, pushes forward down one of the paths, eager to retrieve the splinter and be rid of this foul curse.
Updated map to the direction I move, I will move as far as the "fog of war" lets me...
Oleander Anwamanë
|
Oleander follows the rapdily moving Pooka. As she does so she changes back to using a bow.
"Doesn't look like there is space for fighting side by side here."
| StephNyan |
Meeting Chamber
This open space is roughly oblong, with three gaps in the thorny walls to the south, west, and north. To the east is a rough wooden table with a leather satchel lying atop it. The table is surrounded by six cut logs planed flat and turned endwise to serve as stools. Two stiff linen banners hang on stands placed along northwest and southwest walls, carefully placed a few inches away from the thorns to prevent tearing.
A tiny twig-like creature is currently relaxing in this area, paging through a well-worn picture book of dryads in seductive poses. It jumps up as soon as it notices you.

Sun, hearing Oleander's comment, takes a moment to study the wood golem and the banners hanging.
| StephNyan |
While Ludwick assumes total defense, Oleander shoots two arrows at the twigjack. The second hits, and hurts it badly.
Sun takes a quick look around before he decides what to do.
The banner between the north exit and the west exit contains a skillfully painted image. The left side of the picture depicts several dejected humans crowded by buildings (mills, inns, houses, and similar structures). On the right side, as though stepping out from the claustrophobic alleys on the left, are several bestial humanoids, standing tall and proud in an open meadow surrounded by blooming vegetation. A trio of cavorting stick-figure twig jacks have been scrawled in the background of the meadow.
The banner between the west exit and the south exit depicts a complicated lunar calendar. The calendar is covered with symbols that depict phases throughout the lunar year.

Sun shocks the twigjack, but the fey avoids the attacks made by Leepo and Scritch.
The twigjack moves slightly and launches a spray of splinters in a 15-foot cone, inflicting piercing damage to those nearby.
Ref DC13: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 Half damage: -5

Stabilize check, DC 10: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (10) - 3 = 7
The lightning strikes the twigjack with a satisfying sizzle. With a smile, Sun lowers his sword and has just enough time to gasp as the thorns strike him hard. He collapses to the ground with a grunt, unconscious and bleeding out from the numerous puncture wounds.
Oleander Anwamanë
|
Seeing Sun go down, Oleander again swaps back to her sword and advances on the wood golem, swinging it at the stick-creature.

His rage has unfortunately altered his swing, and he swings wide of the animated creature.
| StephNyan |
As long as Sun is unconscious it's fine if you share his square.
Beads starts singing softly to inspire the others, while trying to not draw attention to her tiny self.
While Oleander and Pooka both miss the twigjack, Ludwick stabilizes Sun. (Sun won't lose the 1 HP from failing his stabilize check, because technically Ludwick moves first.)

Oleander Anwamanë

Once we are free of combat, Oleander can use the wand easily. CLW is on the ranger spell list. She is kind of tied up in battle at the moment though.
